Case suggestion? - Samsung Galaxy A71 5G Accessories

I'm not seeing case availability on Amazon from some of the big case manufacturers. Anyone have suggestions for a decent case? (typically I buy a Spigen case for my devices)

It's a very new device to the market, but there are several eBay sellers offering various options.
You'll have to be persistent, though. Took me several sellers before I found an available
color/design that I liked. Plenty of camo/bling/pink/neon, with blacks and greys sold out.
Quite frankly, I'm surprised I was able to grab 9H-hardness glass protectors for our devices
so shortly after the device came to market.

when you get a case keep in mind there are three version and they are not interchangeable.
Samsung A71 (non 5g)
Samsung A71 5G (non Verizon) buttons are in different place
Samsung A71 UW (Verizon MM Wave 5g perhaps a thicker phone

Nothing on Amazon sparked my interest so I went with this one. It should be arriving next week. I only have one CoverOn brand case for my LG V60 and have been happy with that one. Decided to give this one a try. I'll post some pics when I get it and if I remember.
https://coveroncase.com/products/sa...-cover-eos-series?_pos=4&_sid=bcf1c334b&_ss=r

The case comes into two pieces. A frame for the phone that then goes into the outer shell. I had a tempered glass screen protector that ended up cracking cause it was a tight fit. CoverOn does sell a tempered glass screen protector, but I don't know if it fits with this case. I would assume it does. The backing also gets "stuck" to the phone inside the case sometimes so it doesn't look as clean.

Update: I ended up getting this case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0882QZ4QS
It's pretty much a TPU Spigen clone / ripoff, but the quality seems alright and fits the style that I like.
It also came with a screen protector, but that was absolute garbage (not tempered glass, but just crap plastic with horrible resistance to finger swipes), and I removed it after maybe 30 seconds.

Just adding to the list of cases available:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/113781571976
Just a BTW, it'll take about a month for it to arrive.

Cheap case that will probably turn yellow in a few but for 4 bucks can't go wrong, fell of my lap getting out the car and bounced off the corner which is thick. .. Got the sopiguard skin a71 ( it's a lil bit short but still fit good).. Definitely digging the finish look

So what tempered screen protectors are people ordering?

I got a 3-pack from Amazon, branded GESMA for 10 bucks. It actually fits my wife's phone a little better than mine.

I bought this for my a71 5g:

So apologies if I am in the wrong place. I know this forum is for the A71 5G, but unable to find one for the UW variant. Has anyone been able to find a decent case for the A71 5G UW?

I love very slim cases, so I bought the Kqimi Case for Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, Matte Slim, at Amazon - and love it.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CDNQ39J
Slim, yet it protects the corners and the screen. Has a lip around the camera bump, and it allowed me to put a metal plate between the phone and case for my magnetic car mount. Does everything I want it to.

I, too, am looking for a case for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy A71 5G UW variant. So far most of the A71 cases say they are "[NOT for Verizon A71 5G UW]".
If anyone finds one, please post. Thanks!

I ended up buying this one. Reading the description, it states that it is only for the 5G UW, but other points were contradicting to this. I took the chance and honestly, I think it was made for the regular 5G. However, it fits over the phone like a glove and even though the buttons do not line up perfect (this being why I think it is for the regular 5G), I have yet to have any bad response from pressing the case buttons for what I want the phone to do. Wasn't a bad buy, only ~$10 for a case I wasn't sure if it would work right or not. Seems so far so good after 3 days of use.

Here is what I found so far for the Verizon UW version of this phone:
1a) Speck - Some reviews say it may be a little slippery.
Presidio ExoTech Samsung Galaxy A71 5G UW (Verizon Compatible Only)
$29.95
There may be a discount with coupon code: COMEBACK25. There may be a discount if one subscribes to an email list. Not sure.
https://www.speckproducts.com/samsu...samsung-a71-5g-uw-cases/SGA71S5G-PR-EXO.html#
1b) May be the same as above, but direct from Verizon:
Speck Presidio Exotech Case for Galaxy A71 5G UV
$29.99
https://www.verizon.com/products/sp...444138d67511ea80cf00ca0a24060f#reviewsHeading
2) Incipio - Looks also slippery. Temporarily sold out when I checked.
DualPro for Samsung Galaxy A71 5G UW (Verizon Compatible Only)
SOLD OUT
https://incipio.com/products/dualpro-for-samsung-galaxy-a71-5g-uw-verizon-compatible-only
3) I think this will fit the phone: Its on Amazon, cheap, might work till a better option comes along. Seems to have more than one color choice. Probably not a great case, but who knows.
Gesma for Samsung Galaxy A71 5G Case, Scratch Resistant & Anti Slip Grippy Soft TPU Case for Samsung Galaxy A71 5G/A71 5G SM-A716 Phone(NOT Fit with A71 4G SM-A715F/DS) (Elegant Navy)
$9.99

Hope this is helpful!

Yeah, I saw your input a while ago, but you do understand we're talking about the A71 5G, right?
It's on T-Mobile and Sprint in the US, and maybe other regions.
Sprint doesn't offer the A71(Non-5g).
Non-Verizon variants aren't this A71 we're discussing.
A71 UW is a different model, and not inclusive to the discussions here, I believe.
I suppose we're starting to see the need for various sub-forums about this phone's iterations.

I was pretty clear as to the three models and listed them. There are big differences between them. Perhaps there should be aaw against similar phones having similar model numbers and names.

Tab S2 Screen Protection: The struggle is, real?

I know this has been a debate for years and years. Do I go with this, but I heard that and what if....
blah blah blah.
I have a film protector on my note 10.1 2014 and one on my note 8, they've been on there for so long I have no idea which ones I purchased. I recently picked one up for my tab S2 and it's juuuuunk! fingerprints galore. Getting on with this, I bought for the first time tempered glass for my phone and loved it. I don't believe tempered will take away from the amoled screen of the S2 but if I were to pick up a stylus (currently reading great reviews about the The Friendly Swede precision disc) will it take away accuracy? I believe the fingerprint issue is drastically decreased as well.
I'm all ears to experiences and opinions.
Sorry, don't have an answer but do you mind sharing which tempered one you got? I've never gotten a tempered glass one before but everyone who has gotten one seems to say they will never go back to PET film. There are hardly any screen protectors out there at all it seems...maybe it's still too early. I'm getting my tablet today and want to get a screen protector on this soon.
I'm using a glass screen protector for my S2 8.0, and as said, once you use one, there is no returning back to a PET film, glass protector for the S2 is rather limited at the moment, as the market is still small, I have searched through thousands of shops in china for a glass protector for the S2 8.0, and found many, but what is on offer is not what I want, all the protectors sold are flat edged, and 2.5D curved edged are very hard to find, although I did managed to find one shop and purchased 3 pieces.
Glass protectors from china are cheap and as most people will say, they are totally crap, I paid approximate USD 3.15 each for them, they do provide the basic protection from scratches and most protection against damaging the main screen, and that's what matter. For better quality one's, consider going to Gmarket a Korean base site owned by Ebay has some Korean made one's, but rather expensive and they do ship oversea.
At the OP's I'm sorry as I can't quote you on about the stylus, as I don't use them, but I sure it's better than the PET films and it does not affect my touch screen.
I've narrowed my choices down to two. The first one is from Skinomi. I originally purchased one for the the tab 8.4 and when I decided to go with the S2 I simply returned it and they were awesome via amazon. I am kicking myself that I never actually opened it to inspect the glass. I've read that some do have a curved edge and some don't. Here's the link to that one:
http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-Tech-...=8-11&keywords=galaxy+tab+s2+screen+protector
the other in the running is here, which it has a lot more reviews but I wonder how many are those fake reviews that are going around amazon. (the merchant provides a free product in exchange for reviews):

Apparently none of them mention about the curve screen, I'm not sure which version you have, I have the 8.0 version.
I have the 8" as well.

I purchased the Skinomi and was pleased with how quickly I installed it. I have no bubbles or particles and it is pretty much flush with the bezel. The button is now slightly recessed below it, but that will happen with all of the glass protectors. I *think* it's rounded because the edges around the button are so smooth. Clarity is excellent and the device is no less responsive. At this point I recommend it.

Thank you for the feedback! When I went to order on Amazon they were back ordered.

UPDATE: I ended up going through Skinomi's website and ordered, shipped and delivered only took one more day than amazon prime would have. Installed and would have to say it looks and feels flawless. Highly recommend.
I ordered this one which apparently has 2.5D, arrived today but haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Will update if it's any good

Skinomi seems really perfect, but... 20 € for 2 screen protection (Tab and Note) and... tatatatata... 80 € for UPS Ground Shipping (only choice for me). I give up!
I'm waiting for quite the same on eBay with free shipping. Deutsche qualität
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0123UHBBU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 This is the one I bought. I am really happy with the installation kit and product itself. I managed to kill my tablet (not the screen protector's fault-fell on the corner), so I bought another tablet and another Omoton screen protector. I'd definitely recommend them.
Screen protectors are superfluous and mar the whole experience. Sony recognized that - while the Z series had screen protectors by default, they fortunately removed them in the Z2 series.
It's simple: When you want to transport the device, put a cover/case on it (the Samsung one is fine).
Otherwise use it naked as intended by nature.

hardened glass covers don't reduce screen sensitivity or otherwise mar the "original" experience. Plastic ones do, but not the glass ones.

I bought the Omoton screen protector. The installation kit was the best but it is a fingerprint magnet.
Waiting for a Pen and will see if that does the trick.
I've personally never had one that wasn't a fingerprint magnet. I've got a million microfiber clothes, so they're all over the house and work.I just while it down every day.
So what own are you getting?

The Best Galaxy S7 Edge Screen Protector

Hey everybody.
I've been testing different Screen protector for the S7 Edge over the past months and came to the conclusion that the official one made by samsung (http://amzn.to/2AZaGqn) is the best screen protector out there.
I even made a video review about it which can be seen here: https://youtu.be/824A2aA1rrQ
What screen protector do you use and have you tried the ones made by samsung already? Cheers
I've got some of these on order mate, thanks for the video, looks like they are a good option. I've paid £10 for two here in the UK which I thought was reasonable. They should hopefully be arriving mid week so I'll post back with my thoughts.
So from my experience, these screen protectors are great quality and easy to apply but you won't stand a chance of using a tpu case with them as they come right to the edge of the screen on all sides and the corners lift instantly. I tried using a spigen rugged armour and had no joy at all.
Where?
Where can one purchase this though? It's not available on Amazon. Or anywhere else I've looked.

Looks like no one has ordered the case I’ve decided to go with, so I’ll post a small review after I use it. I ordered the Case-Mate case in Iridescent Swirl.
My personal phone is an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I’m using the official Apple leather case; it’s leagues ahead of every/any case I’ve ever used for any phone. Particularly, the button tactility makes the case near perfect and a joy to use. The S21 Ultra will be a business phone so I’m looking for something that’ll at least compare in terms of quality to the Apple leather case.
Finding a case similar in quality means looking at Samsung and their official leather case, so I’ll order one when the preorder credit kicks in. But the Case-Mate case looks great (love the finish!) and it looks like it has excellent button tactility. Hopefully it’s worth its $40 price tag.
Any recommendations for a clear, thin case? I'm between:

i used my 260$ credit to get the u21 ultra "case with spen", i also order the spen separately.
now i have 2 spen. samsung should be more clear on their description. i thought case with spen means case with spen slot.
anyone know any aftermarket case with spen slot?
samsung black case with spen slot is getting boring.
Noreve.com Tradition C with 2 creditcard slots (Addiction leather), fits also perfekt to S20 Ultra case.
I have the SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro and have use their case on my Note 10 Plus & Note 8 (and I think the S7). It doesn't have a built in screen protector with I didn't want anyway. Comes with a belt clip which I like having while I'm working. Solid choice for $20.

I've got Samsung Leather Cover
Pros:
- cool look
- the phone is very firmly attached to it
- does not enlarge the dimensions of the phone too much
- protects the island with cameras well
Cons:
- it doesn't stick out too much from the screen side, so it's a bit dangerous to put the screen down
- skin prone to scratching (damage)
- the phone sways a little when you put its back down
- it's hard to take it off the phone, I'm afraid that I will damage it when I will try to remove the phone from it
- it holds in the hand on average, but still a bit better than a bare phone
Tomorrow will try Ringke Onyx.

Thanks for this report. What has concerned me about this case, from reports here and on Amazon and Best Buy reviews is the durability. You say "skin prone to scratching...". You are seeing this already or understand that it will, with time, show wear/damage?

I use it only the second day, so it's hard to say, I try to take care and do not expose the case too much in case I want to return it to the seller (EU law, up to 14 days from buying). However, it seems to me that it will wear out quickly when you don't care where you put your phone.

Question S8/S8+ accessories

I got my S8+ yesterday and it's one of the thinnest tablets I've held, which makes it feel very fragile. My old iPad Pro 11" M1 felt much tougher but this is a much nicer device.
I read that S7/S7+ is basically the same dimensions/design and I haven't found any good accessories for S8+, curious can I use Spigen Tough Armor Pro for S7+?
S8 for me, as I want to keep it light & portable. (do still owns a S7+ though, which I used Poetic for its case)
I'm in the case market for my soon to arrive S8 also. Brands that I'm currently considering are Poetic / Spigen / UAG.
Hope you find the one that suites your need best there.
I had case for S7. After receiving S8 I found that old case was perfectly fitted S8, so I assume S8+ will do the same, but cannot guarantee it
Ordered a tab s7 case on off chance cheap and can confirm it fits on tab s8 perfect. Will do nicely till I get the pre-order bonus keyboard case.
On Spigen's website, they lump the S7/S8 and S7+/S8+ cases together - https://www.spigen.com/collections/galaxy-tab-s-series. The frame / size didn't change, so I'd imagine any S7+ case would fit an S8+
I can confirm 7+ case from spigen works with 8+

Question Rugged Tab S8 Ultra case with magic cover

For those like me with the Ultra model who want a good case but not a piece of s%^~ kickstand or overpriced low quality keyboard case, I've asked Spigen about their Rugged Armor Pro like this:
Galaxy Tab S8 / S7 Case Rugged Armor Pro
Galaxy Tab S8 / S7 Case - Rugged Armor Pro is built to withstand the chaos of life without losing the convenience when it's time to chill.
www.spigen.com
They are planning to release their Tab S8 Ultra cases in May. So if like me you've been on the fence about settling for a garbage cover, hang on there a few more weeks.
No rugged one yet but they've got a thin one now. Pricey, but thinking about it. Nice: "*Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Book Cover Keyboard*". Also "*Attachable side protection only for tablet mode*".
I wish they would have a dummy plug built-in for the charging port. There is at least one case that does, but the whole thing wouldn't work with a Book Cover Keyboard.
And here is a review of the case for s8u -
Actually not so easy to use considering the "Attachable side protection..."
Not happy... after a complete lack of communication about the S8 Tab covers by mailing list, Twitter, Instagram etc, I asked again what is up and this time got:
"Currently, we do not have definite plans to release a Rugged Armor case compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra at the moment
However, we will definitely consider your interest and pass it along to our developers! Thank you for the suggestion."
The ****ty case options are enough to regret buying this thing. Should have just stuck with the S7+

I think this is just about timing - if Samsung continues releasing 14.6" tablets, Spigen and other companies will release relevant covers. BTW, haven't you considered SUPCASE for S8U? https://www.supcase.com/collections/galaxy-tab-s

Oh wow. If I could still connect the Keyboard with the tablet with that case on it, I'd definitely go for it. I like the port-protector, plus it makes it easier to find the USB-C port without scratching the side of the tablet up.

I would as well. Unfortunately, I haven't ever found such cases for the Tab series.

I've bought one and it also sits gathering dust for three reasons.
1. I want a physical cover that can also protect the paper feel / textured screen films that I use. Even if I was willing to compromise and put the film over the screen protector, the loss in pen sensitivity becomes significant.
2. I prefer the angle options the Spigen folding cover gives to the kick stand approach.
3. The pen holders are too tight to fit the Staedler Norris fat stylus securely. The Spigen cases are designed in a way which is much more accommodating of different stylus sizes.
I also bought a Fintie case which is more like "magic cover" style but it's flimsy crap with magnets so weak they don't even stay secure under the weight of the cover let alone with the tablet in it. The official Samsung kickstand case is what I'm using for now but yeah, I'm selling the tablet either way and going back to a Plus.
In many ways such a nice tablet, but I guess it's a niche market. A high end oversized relatively heavy tablet suited more to staying inside an office or maybe commute between home and work might be part of the reason for lack of good rugged case options, especially when it competes against the keyboard cover functionality.
Ergh. Was considering getting the Spigen for the Ultra - it's even much cheaper on Amazon right now, but there is only one user rating, and it's 1 out of 5:
I was really glad that I found this one that is similar to the Samsung genuine case and lighter weight but compatible with keyboard as well. However, after a day of use, I started to find critical down sides and there are 2.
1. There is magnet that doesn't compatible with Gal' Tab S8 Ultra and that interrupt S-pen recognition. This is really critical if you are trying to write at the spot where the magnet is...
2. This is much more critical... on the second day, the tablet was malfunctioning that the screen doesn't turn on properly. It turns on after several time of clicking the power button or double taping the screen. However, that only last for 1 sec. I can't do anything because it keeps turns off. First I thought something broken. However, as soon as I take off from the case, it works fine. So, I tried put my tablet on the back of the case. As soon as it contacted the case, the screen went out and doing the same thing. It is breaking my tablet.
I love Spigen. I used their brand ever since I had iPhone3GS... However.. this product is very disappointed.

Too bad. I did find some attachable USB-C dust plugs, though, I'm considering trying. A different one on Amazon had at least one negative comment about coming out by accident too easily, but this one looks like it might stay in better if I can judge just by looks.
