Sony blocked the system from being modified>.< - Sony Xperia 1 II Questions & Answers

Hello, everyone. I'm writing for those who want to try to unlock the bootroder in the future. This is to inform you that the user cannot modify the system related to xperia 1 ii product due to the bootroder opening. Sony seems to have put a lot of restrictions on that tunnel. Modification of build props is impossible and activation of Qualcomm diagnostic port is not possible. However, unlike the previous product, if the bootroder is rerouted, the Netflix DRM will be restored to l1.

You can use Magisk for modify the system the system-less way. Using the direct-on method, as in the past, won't though work unless you want to softbrick your device.

Edit: Haha, I should have refreshed the page before replying, I didn't realize that xFire followed up with the exact thing I said XD
With that said, where is that Call of Duty hiding though? I found it... it's in /oem/app which is not mounted by Magisk so it cannot be systemlessly removed, but it is still read-only. Linkedin and Tidal's FREE TRIAL, are also here.
If anyone knows how to remove these, I need to know, because I'm returning this phone if I cannot uninstall Call of Duty and a free trial app...
Original post:
In case anyone else like me just woke up from a 4-year coma when their perfectly adequate device from '16 died overnight, you need a terminal emulator and a Magisk module that does Systemless Debloating (some magic far beyond my understanding). I found a module called Debloater (here is the official thread), that did a good job for the apps I could find. Removed Facebook and Google crap, but I still can't find Call of Duty.

Sorry if I'm like the last one to notice it, I just wanted to make sure people knew!
Its strange that they are talking about the Z2 ob this site, cause it already has kitkat n stuff.
Perhaps its just a copy of some other, older news site?
Otherwise it would be great!
Well, who knows, I'll just keep my hopes up!

It says Z2 IS the first, and V is going to follow it so they weren't lying
This is the official source:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-t/
As you can see, latest & final version is Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) 2014-02.
Kitkat is not under investigation anymore.
End of the story.
You're free to dream on anyway...

There will be no new updates for these three phones anymore

If 2 years is old, ok up to you personal mileage. But of it is accepted practice nowadays to make products old and obsolete after a relatively short time span, than the price levels for mobiles are far to high.

What is the hexpatch for?

I noticed that scripts/flash_script.sh contains the following hexpatch:
Code:

What is this for? A Google search found http://pastebin.com/61BjzWwu, but this still doesn't make the purpose clear. Git blame found me where @topjohnwu added it, but the commit message didn't explain it either.
I want know also, but looks like just a specific hack for Exynos Note 7, like LG's bump.

You're correct
What's the hack fixing, though? And is it still necessary given that the Note 7 is unsafe to use and recalled?

Same for me. I don't really get how to subscribe. I'm just sharing news I got from an Android website (where it's also not explained how to enroll). Maybe some chinese speaking guys can let us know. However, with some translation, it "seems" to be limited to MIUI forum subscribers with some credits.
EDIT : Thanks @bozarjoska . Seems to be a REALLY closed beta then !

1) OTA updates will be available (might have to be part of the alpha/beta miui team to actually receive them)
2) Google services are not pre-installed, but you can download the installer app from the miui marketplace and install it like that without any issues.
Is there anything we have to do install if we are unlocked and on a job miui device? Will it relock the bootloader? Thanks!

I'm apart of the alpha group, so I can't say if non-members would get OTA updates, it might check your MIUI account that's bound to the device which might indicate if you receive OTA's or not.
Otherwise once you're on the BETA/AlPHA you can update using the 'select from internal storage update.zip'

I did it all over again with TWRP method explained here in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-m31/how-to/tutorial-samsung-m31-flash-twrp-t4187991 then I used magisk modules (HARDWARE OFF and MagiskHide Props Config) but maybe you better wait for when the guide from Sotiras is updated.
