Hello guys
When I try to unlock the bootloader of my Asus ROG Phone III ,I always get "An unkown error occurs, which may be a network connection error." Please help. I tried everything from the latest unlock app tool from asus the edl all in one tool resting the device using lte wifi vpn , but no success.

you can try the file on this website agian.
I also bought rog phone 3 tencent edition and I also had that problem but used the unlock app on this website, finally unlocked my rog phone 3.

i try it allot not working just restart the phone and the bootloader is lock !!

Are you sure that you downloaded the unlock tool of 'Rog phone 3"?
If you did, then your phone or the way you do has a problem

Help me to check this
I downloaded the bootloader unlock app on the website, and I touched 'unlock' and my phone rebooted.
I needed to select the language and storage was cleaned also.
It's unlocked well right?

when you reboot your phone , you will find the logo and the bootloader is unlock

I found logo and need to select the language, and every app or setting were the same when I first turn on the phone.
It's unlocked right?

its hapening same with me too, unlock bootloader working but the the bootloader not geting unlocked .
just restarting
after restarting the phone there nothing wiped and also check by fastboot comand its showing the unlocking is false .... please someone help

Been posted NUMEROUS times guys. Your phone was unlocked, and relocked by the seller. Theres NO WAY to Unlock again. Get a refund, buy a proper phone.

Ok so I just upgraded to android 11 and want to unlock the bootloader but while doing it through the app it says failed to unlock the device why is that?
Also I have never unlocked my device before it's the first time I'm trying to do so..
Do a backup of your data you don't wanna loose and flash raw file with A10 available here in ROG3 section. Then your unlock tool will work. After you unlock you can update and restore data. Bootloader remains open until you lock it again with abd or app.

Hi all, im having one kind of a problem, me and my friend, have tried to unlock his x8 Bootloader, and i have search and saw the hard brick warning, and checked the device says 9w12 so i thought it was safe, and it wasnt, because the device didnt work after using Unlock method.
Now we have Jtaged it using a box and made it work, and everything was fine, untill he tried unlocking using Flash tool, and it said unlocking was ok, but it didnt actually work cuz he couldnt flash nA kernel after. and then his device went off again, so we had to jTag it again with a box to make it work,
Now its back to stock 2.1 and cant find service, it can see the networks but cannot get signal (no service), and i read a lot on that i gotta use SMEC 77727 or something to make it work, but its the same we used to get our device bricked, so any advice plz guys help?

First time when I unlock bootloader I unlock it with msm7227,but I didn't have signal. After 1-2month I see that bootloader can be unlocked by flashtool. I try unlock bl with flashtool and now I have signal and I really enjoying!

thanks for your response, can u tell me how to relock bootloader, my eyes are bleeing from searching and i dont wanna hard brick the x8 again sir. x(

Also, using 1stools. first time i tired to unlock, it said SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE, but now it says NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE.. what would this mean?

That message will change back to original message when you relock..
It's the reason you get no carrier lock.
I downloaded x8tools, but its based on Cmd command line, not sure where to find a tutorial, im looking at the moment to find one

Just checked - Doesn't give instructions but it's rather simple anyway - just go for it man!
Flash tool gave me this error when trying to unlock: WARN - Cannot identify your SL. Aborting
also, pc companion cant recognize my mobile when i try to repair its software, whats up with that??

No, because i cant open it, everytime i click on x8tools.cmd it open and close, no idea why,,,, do u have IM (hotmail or so) im in trouble really might need the help

OK got ya.. We could do this over IM but it's good for future users with the same issue to see this thread and find a solution.
So let's go..
1: Don't double-click x8tools.cmd
2: Open MS Command Prompt and cd\ to the directory where you saved it. (Desktop is really handy)
3: Type x8tools.cmd into command prompt
4: Let the magic begin!

Can't remember off-hand - I don't use windows - I'm a linux guy!
Won't do any harm to have a look..
Is there any way to unlock bootloader without permission? I have fked up the mi account, I deleted my old account and rebooted the phone at some point, and now I am stuck in the "device is locked state". Is there any way I can flash rom on it?

Never mind, I took it to a mobile phone fixing shop, they fixed it using the test point method ( I am too scared to open the phone myself :v ), and charged me 5 USD.

In this state only the test point method will work. To re-flash original MIUI ROM please follow these instructions http://en.miui.com/thread-693884-1-1.html

i have a Huawei P10. [VTR-L29 9.0.1.159(C185E3R1P9)]. I updated it using hisuite and firmware finder via erecovery 2 weeks ago, then recently i tried to check for updates in hisuite, an update is available, with the same build number(developer) with size of 880mb and i updated it, after completion of update, phone restarts, verify installation packages and proceed with update installing, after 99% phone restarts again and not turning on itself, i tried manually turning it on, not successful. so I tried plugging it in my computer, hisuite detects it, and system recovery is the only option. i tried but it failed, and should be taken to the service center.
What should I do?
-my phone was purchased abroad
-warranty expired a year ago
-i dont have the box of it and the imei infos.
If anyone can help me, please I need it. THANKS

Hope that bootyloader still working, else there's a chance for you to get another phone.
If I had to go thru what you have today... I would try to flash Emui 9 based RR or Los just to revived while enjoying the pure android interface.
If all else fails... Go back to basic maybe there is a thing or two that you've missed

Can you get to the bootyloader or recovery? As long as bootyloader still working there's still a chance for revival.
You can try flash stock recovery & try to get it to flash the stock fw from it.

my bootloader in locked, i havent unlocked it before, is there any way to unlock it without spending money? the only thing i know , it is detected in fastboot and also in dc unlocker.

I don't see any articles on for unpaid versions to unlock the bootloader. The only safe & easy is thru dcunlocker.
Hav u tried boot to erecovery & see if it can recover that stock firmware??

I tried erecovery as you said but I failed to do so, the only hope I think is just the fastboot mode. also, I would like to ask if what option or how many credits should I get in DC Unlocker?

I spent roughly not more than 5usd for a code & that's about it. Nothing more... Now I'm happily unlocked that bootyloader :good:
I think the only ways is thru pc or with a small payment at the huawei service centre to get that firmware up and running again.

Then follow directions on how to unlock via fastboot
after install tool Unlock Device App Version V9.1.0.19 and press unlock your device show message your device unlocked but my device locked i cant flash any img what i do ?

I am the same as your problem phone restart and nothing change but after try 10 or 15 show message device unlocked but still locked
Tencent converted to ww CANNOT be unlocked, because Asus only allows one unlock.

How did you attempt to do it? Steps please.
Same issue here. Previously I was just downloading the Unlock Device app here and running it. (I already had developer options enabled) and the device would reboot but not do anything (I reckon I tried 10+ times). Since then I formatted the device and tried again and got the same results so I set the device backup normally today (running build 18.0410.2108.158) and tried it again (with and without developer options enabled as I forgot to check) and I just get a standard error message saying it couldn't unlock my device and to try again later. Same result multiple times. I don't see any option for OEM unlocking in Dev options which I see some people mention. I'm updating to the latest OS I can see in the link I provided and I will try again after installing that.

Hello
Your phone has already been unlocked earlier and has the flag removed. Someone blocked it again for sale.
So you won't do anything with Asus tools.
I recommend the EDL mode
