Moto G7 (plus) Bricked - Moto G7 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi all, I need some help
I have a Moto G7 which I thought was a PLUS. It was enrolled in my company's MDM and one thing lead to another, I failed to provide the right PIN and now Android does not start at all. When it boots up, it goes straight into the boot loader and no matter what option I try to select (switch tools, start, restart bootloader, recovery mode...) none of them brings up the phone so I am stuck in FASTBOOT FLASH MODE. It does also say "OEM-LOCKED", not sure what that is.
So I tried many things, but now I am trying to get re-imaged with RDS LITE and the software does not see the device. "adb devices" does not see any devices, but "fastboot devices" does.
At this point I hope to get RDS LITE to work and burn the sock image to the phone, but I need help.
Also, although I bought this as a G9 PLUS, when the phone starts into the bootloader it shows:
BL: MBM-2.1-river_retail-437e1163***-200***
Baseband: M6_41.178.01.156RRiver_NA_CUST
What image do I need to use?
What is the easier way to get the phone loaded with the Motorola stock image?

[HELP] Unbrick RAZR i X890

Hi people, I have a big problem with my friend's Razr i, I was trying to root it, but i didn't want to unlock my bootloader so tried several methods but not a single one worked, So i tried the one for unlocked bootloaders and ended up bricking my device, Now It's stuck on fastboot mode.
I've tried to flash some brazilian firmwares via RSD lite, but it get stuck on "6/9 flashing radio_signed" SO PLEASE SOMEONE GUIDE ME TO THE SOLUTION WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
PS: Also tried to flash an argentinian Firmware but it didn't even let me start flashing bringing the error "Faled flashing process. Unknown fastboot command. (getvar)"
PS2: Also tried the eternityprj Alternate method without RSD, and it gets stuck on flashing recovery... and it also prompts some errors you can see in the attached file.
HELP ME PLEASE AS I SAID THE RAZR IS A FRIEND'S PHONE NOT MINE, I NEED TO SAVE IT.

your secure level was to high for a non bootloader method and if you done a method with a unlocked bootloader and your bootloader was locked thats bad.
unlock your bootloader >>WARRANTY VOID<< install cwm and use any backup. or flash the 39 gb fw but i think you have yet to unlokc the bootloader to safe it.. and be patient dont try to much stuff if your battery goes low you need a factory adapter or something like this to charge ur razr i if the battery is down.
regards hope you get it waorking again
I solved my problem this way

Hello good morning
I brick 2 phones trying to get one of them and in the process did fail at 2, how the recovery?
1. - Use RSD Lite version 6.1.4
2. - Use 1 extra phone (htc wildfire root and backup CWMR in case of failure)
3. - Use a GB retail rom (CFC_8.7.1I-110_IFW-39_S7_UCASMI01E1017.0R_USASMIICSRTGB_P042_A005_S1FF_fb.xml)
4. - The phone to unbrick, put fastboot mode, switching on via the power button and vol (-) until the fastboot mode screen read "fastboot reason:" if it does not, re-try until there is
5. should not say "fastboot reason: flash failure, or anything else xxxxxx xxxx xxxxx ............"
6. - Boot rsd lite 6.1.4, select retail rom, and indicate that only "unzip" connects your motorola razr I, and it connects back to the other phone (in my case htc wildfire), which has a debug mode enabled.
7. - Note, that in the window of the Rsd Lite in row 1, the Razr I phone is detected, then you start flashing in RSD Lite 6.1.4, see screenshot of your razr I to see that data is being sent, (the other phone should not be affected and only serves as a decoy to usb drivers, Rsd lite at least do not damage to my phone)
8. - Remember flashing erase the card was in your internal Razr I therefore will lose programs, photos or music you had or downloaded to the SD or internal virtual
9. - Flashing can stop and have to do everything again, but remember that no fastboot mode screen should read:
"fastboot reason: flash failure or otherwise else xxxxxx xxxxxxx ......." must be clean that is just:
"fastboot reason: "
luck : Good:
Warning, do not take responsibility for any damage to your cell involved in the process, ......... the lure of the phone can be found on youtube and just suits the way because of my need to get my phone ........ in no way am programmer or software developer, for which only comment what turned out ok to me
excuse my bad English

[Q] Continuous reboot after 4.2.2 downgrade

I tried following this guide to downgrade to 4.2.2 so that I could root my AT&T device.
I was able to adb and fastboot into the device. And I flashed the ATT CU update with fastboot.
After that the device constantly reboots after reaching the M logo screen,
I can boot into the bootloader, and I can send fastboot commands, but not any adb commands.
I also cannot load any of the options in the bootloader (Recovery, Factory, etc), they simply reboot the phone.
I don't care what version of Android I go to as long as it gives me a working phone. Please help!
Thanks.
Edit: I was able to recover my phone by flashing the 4.4 update. I would like to know where I went wrong, so that I could possibly still do the downgrade>root>upgrade path.

Hey, even if you can't post a link to the resolution I'd love to have more info! Please either PM me or post a tut, since this looks to be a bit problematic and I'm gonna jump on a freebie from MetroPCS.
Would really appreciate it thx!
Those of you who seek root on the MetroPCS Moto E5 play, I got you
I was working on a simple, straight forward walk through. Maybe just pm me for the details. Would be easier to do it that way being as I'm currently @ work. I can't figure out how to post a pic directly from my Moto E, but if you pm, I'll send you some verification. I soft bricked mine 3 times trying to get it figured out. You know what they say though. 3rd time is the charm. PS, don't flash anything other than recovery!!! The no-verity will cause you to boot loop.

People don't really tell you how to fix the issue so if you still need help getting your phone back to normal
I will help
Every post I have tried has been flawed or wrong or won't work
Sometimes people just post **** and don't think
PM me, i'll help you as well if you need it. What you have to do is download a platform tools folder and extract it because you need to open it and open up a command prompt within the platform tools folder for the restoration of the phone's stock ROM can be successfully flashed on the phone. I have everything you need to get your phone back operational again. I'll even help you root it successfully if you need more help, and i'll help you decrypt it. there's even a successful custom ROM that i'm using now that's better than the others since the others have so many problems booting up or issues within the ROM itself.

I interested in rooting my metroPCS Moto e5 play but I don't really know what to do & I don't want to end up using a rooting program that will mess up my phone or not have at least a little knowledge of what I'm doing. If you could help me out with rooting my moto e5 plus I would be grateful I have a question though my baseband version says M8940TMO_32.22.11.69R
HANNAH_NA_TMO_CUST and the Official TWRP app says my device is Hannah so do I use the James varient or the Hannah one is the plus and one is the play correct? Thank you for any help you might be able to give me.

yes, the plus is hannah and the regular e5 is the play...you have the hannah version.
None of this helps me. I unlocked the bootloader tried to install magisk or supersu, but it keeps bootlooping to n/a. I can only get into bootloader and from there to TWRP. That's it. I do have adb access...

Moto g6 hard brick after ota update

Hi everyone. I have a moto g6 and I updated a few weeks ago, but the thing is that when I was flashing the stock (the 8.0 version becuase it doesn´t exist a 9.0 yet) rom via fastboot I get an error about "downgrade security", after that I try to unlock the bootloader and I found that I cant get into the os and the recovery, it apears an error "failed load kernel" and gets into the fastboot mode. I try to unlock the bootloader via adb but i can´t because i can´t get in to the recovery, only fastboot mode. I try many ways to fix this but I don´t found anything yet.

Just power up directly to bootloader holding power + vol down, then reflash the latest official firmware for your device. As long as it is the official firmware for your device you don't need to unlock bootloader.
BUT if you brick it with an updated bootloader thats more recent that the OG firmware available for your device, sadly you have a cute paperweight until an official firmware with a more up to date bootloader is available. It happend once to me with a G4 Play have the device useless for a good 2 months until a firmware with a new bootloader was available. It sucks.
You have to go to the service center.
Hey msobarzoe13, I am using moto g6 and from India. When android p soak test was leaked as everyone out there, I tried it. It was good except for some network issues. So I decided to revert back to the stock firmware. I downloaded the OS and flashed it and faced the same issue. I tried several times but no luck. I was not even able to unlock the bootloader because I didn't turn on OEM unlock under settings. So I took it to the service center. The best part is by installing Beta your warranty is void. So I did it through the service center. They told Moto G6 series is very secured so flashing it with a leaked software is prevented. I don't know why. So don't take a further risk, take it to the service center.

What you mean with "OG firmware" and what if the motorola is totally hardbricked? I mean not able to go to bootloader or recovery or even fastboot because he didnt turn on android debugging oem?

If your bootloader is still locked just take it to a moto service centre, I also tried downgrading and took it to service centre they fixed it
I have also hard bricked my moto g6 while updating. There was an OTA update and i started update without noticing my battery percentage. Now i have hard bricked dead moto g6. There is no response at all. Only life in my device is that it is detected as Qualcomm HS-USB QLoader 9008 in pc.
My Moto G6 went into Hard Brick after downgrade and upgrade, does not go into download mode and does not turn on, just flashes the led.
Does anyone have a solution.

Same problem with me also. It may be detected as qualcomm hs-usb qloader 9008 while you connect in pc. If that is the problem than we need blank flash file which is not available right now. Either we have to send our device to service center for motherboard replacement or we need to wait for blank flash file which is not possible to come because these files are sensitive to motorola. another solution is if some one provide me mmcblk0.img of moto g6 than i might be able to boot it from sd card and may revive it again.
My Moto G6 Ali got hardbricked also plzzz help anyone solved it or have blankflash HE
Do anyone got any solution regarding this then plzzz help

Phone refuses to comunicate at bootloader

Hello, recently i had some issues with my phone, and i thougt. well i should do a factory reset, just in case, but when i did the reset, the phone was in the same condition as before, so my next step was to reflash the stock rom, im not in custom ones btw, and my phone is still locked, long story short, with every program comand, and even oficial software, my phone refuses conection, with android cmd tools, its always stuck forever in a line called, sendig partition (45kb) and thats all it can be there for hours, the phone is just doing nothing, also the booloader oficial cmd, cant extract the key just sit there doing nothing, however, my phone is not bricked, bootloader devices detect my phone but i cant reflash the phone, i already tried the blank flash cmd, just say waiting for device. can someone help me with this issue? im not a noob, i already save one moto x with blank flash and rooted several past generations of moto phones.

Try LMSA's Flash Rescue option

Sent from my Moto E (4) using Tapatalk
I had a similar problem just now - could not do anything in fastboot mode, LMSA failed as well. To solve it, I switched to another PC, and stopped using USB3 to USB-C custom cable, and used the original one I got with the phone (USB-C to USB-C). So my guess is, you need to connect to the PC with the original cable, directly, or just with a better cable than the one you were trying with.
