I've got bootloop and I cannot flash any stock rom, what to do? - Redmi Note 9 Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I was trying to install magisk on this phone patching the boot img of the rom, since there is no recovery mod for this phone. I got bootloop, and because there is not a recovery I banging my head to the wall, trying to flash the stock rom. I simply don't know what to do, any suggestion?
Thank you!

thanks to @Akitake I've just fixed it! The part about flashing using the fastboot is what I tried to do during all the afternoon, but I couldn't pick the exact flash archives, dunno why.
I'm done, thanks!

If you got bootloop after flashed magisk, you need to flash stock rom boot.img.
Here, you can find boot images for stock rom and magisk patched: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4204671/

Not booting Android Oreo

Flashed stock rom, flashed different versions of twrp.
But the same stuck on logo after flashing every Oreo rom.
Want to taste but can't, somebody's got any solution?
May be an issue of recovery. Try with twrp 3.1.1-3 from below link.

Only 8.1 ROMs are not booting. also tried with this recovery and also with mine ported one. But nothing works
i also had the same problem.we need to patch the boot image after flashing the roms provided by daniel hk sir
preform a clean flash{wipe internal storage}
flash supersu 2.82 after flashing the rom
it will work for sure
i got it working on my phone
Can you give me that patched boot image.
How to patch?

how to unroot without voot loop?

Hey here
Im on android 7.0 and the device is galaxy s7 edge G935F and no matter what i do..... Unrooting with the managaer options or flash the magisk uninstaller in twrp it always causes a boot loop. It starts normal when i flash magisk again... it would be easy to flash a new rom but i want to keep some changes ive made while rooted so thats the problem and i read a lot of flashing the boot loader (thats the BL part in the extracted rom package right?) from the rom thats currently installed. But that would wipe everything right? Or can i somehow flash that one like i flash magisk in twrp
I wonder if here is anything i can do to unroot successfully? Cache wipe wont end the loop
As always thanks for your time and answer
With best regards
Chris

How to get Root+CustomKernel Android 11?

hey guys i bought Pixel 4xl few days ago and today i decided to unlockbootloader and start flashing ...
i know a lot about fastboot and things like that , i came from a heavily moded pixel 2.
i can't get my head around how to root it and have a custom kernel at the same time.
i unlocked my phone then got a magiskpatchedboot.img .. i tried many combinations , i tried flashing the kernel first then rebooting to bootloader then flashing magisk patched , it didn't work , no luck for the other way around '' flashing magisk patched boot then booting to twrp then flashing Kirisakura kernel.
and btw let say that i flashed magiskpatchedboot and that's it the phone will boot normally but after trying to '' fastboot boot twrp.img'' i got stuck at the twrp splash screen/logo .
so to solve this i flash the original boot and dtbo and then boot to stock recovery and then i wipe data and reboot to bootloader and start again..
i just need the steps required... thanks a lot

1.Patch boot image in Magisk
2. Flash patched boot image via fastboot (fastboot flash boot xxxx.img)
3. Install kernel zip via EXKM or FKM (most if not all custom kernels for this device will recognize that you are rooted and will keep root. You also need to be rooted to use EXKM or FKM to flash kernels.)
4. Forget about TWRP, lol. Not supported for Android 11.

Losing Recovery after install Custom ROM

Hi,
I have the following problem.
I was able to install the custom ROM properly on my Mi9t pro. Unfortunately my Orangefox Recovery was deleted After the installation.
If I want to install Magisk now, I have to reflash the recovery first.
Do you have any idea why the recovery is deleted? Is there a way to prevent that?
Thanks in advance.

Your (custom) Recovery was really deleted?
Or replaced by stock Recovery
Who says that installation of Magisk requires custom Recovery?
Magisk documentation (Installation Instructions) - please find it on Magisk Github - certainly not.
Patch the boot.img and flash (it can be flashed by Fastboot, hence custom Recovery is not a must to have)
Hi,
it really gets deleted. My cell phone is then only in fastboot mode.
I am not interested in flashing Magisk either, but rather that recovery after an installation is no longer available. This makes installing updates more cumbersome.
I only have the problem when I flash a custom ROM. when I flash a MIUI ROM from xiaomi.eu Beta, the recovery is retained.

Redmi Note 9 Bootloop to recovery - help needed

Hi all,
I have a rooted redmit note 9 that was running the stock rom (EU version i believe as i am UK based) perfectly well for several months until today when then latest over the air update installed and my phone is now stuck in a bootloop where i can only access the custom PBRP recovery (installed from when i rooted previously). I can also access fastboot. I have tried wiping all data and cache etc, i have tried reflashing the magisk patched stock rom that previously worked, i have also tried flashing vbmeta that i flashed previously but still no luck. This is my only phone so I really need to get it working again.
I was about to try re-flashing the stock rom with SP tool but it tells me the scatter file is invalid.
Not sure what else to try now. I also note that when i PBRP loads up it always asks for a password however i dont have a password on the device.
Please could someone suggest something i could try?

your devices is encrypted try flash other custom rom first then try revert to stock hope it help u out
Thanks very much for your response. Based on your advice i tried to flash the latest Kraken 11 Vanilla rom from this fourm, however after installing via TWRP now i can't even get into recovery anymore, just goes straight to fastboot.
Any other suggestions please?
I have now managed to get back in to TWRP and tried flashing lineage latest rom but still i am stuck in a boot loop taking me to fastboot this time.
Please can someone help suggest hwo i can get my phone working agian. At this point i dont care which rom i end up (custom or stock) with as long as i can get it to function again
If your device is rooted, you can NOT update the system using the OTA (over-the-air), or the device will be stucked in bootloop.
If your device is rooted, you need to update the system MANUALLY, using the fastboot or spflashtool.
I suggest to update the system using the fastboot.
Now, you need to flash the whole MIUI again, except userdata and you will have your device back.
For anyone with a asimilar problem i eventually managed to fix my issue by using miflash tool version 20180528 and flashing merlin_eea_global_images_V12.0.10.0.QJOEUXM_20210413.0000.00_10.0_eea_c4a9d5d7fc fastboot version which i downloaded from the xiami site.
I had to try this multiple times because the extraction of the file did not seem to be correct on the first attempts.
