Note 20 ultra camera glass protector - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Accessories

Anyone use one?
The rugged protective case doesn't give much protection compared to my note 10 +

I'm using the Spigen 9H glass protector for the camera on my Note 20 Ultra and it's very nice quality, fits perfectly. Seems like a good buy for the price and protection it should bring.

I ordered the kit from whitestone. It comes with 2 screen protectors and 2 camera lens protectors, install kit and 2 day shipping for $65. Worked great for me since my wife and I both got the ultra.

I ordered this "alluminum/metal" version of camera protection because don't wanted the camera holes covered with some glass/plastic material.

Can't share links yet, but you can check the eBay item number: 264838381367 or just type "Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Metal Ring Camera Cover Lens Screen Protector" there are a lot of sellers from China selling it and shipping worldwide. ($3-4 usd shipped).

As much as I would like to protect the bulging cameras, I would hate for the glass protector to affect the images. Samsung designed the camera lens with a high quality glass and I am not sure adding another layer of glass(questionable whether it matches the factory glass quality) is a good idea. The metal protector listed above seems better but not sure how it will affect pictures that require flash and what if it slides and scratches the camera glass?
I am gonna risk it with no camera protector of any kind, except what the phone case provides.

Adding another layer of glass will not effect the pictures unless you use flash. None of the glass protector for the camera will work correctly if you use flash, just like the S20 Ultra. It leaves a reflection / bluish hue.

Yeah! That's what I got and it fits perfectly, nice quality. Should protect very well.

My glass protector doesn't seem to change the color temp or show any flash reflections.
The back glass isn't gorilla glass, so it will scratch easier than the screen.

Which brand and where did you get it ?
I have over a dozen covers I have purchased for the S20 Ultra, and currently have 5 different ones that Amazon has for the Note20 and they all do the same thing.
I am using the DBrand cover currently but prefer glass cover.

Every additional piece of lense optics effects the image especially if not matched high quality coated optics. Internal reflections between the sensor and lens elements always degrade the image to some extent.
May also cause AF abnormalities.

OnePlus 3 Tempered Glass suggestion

I live in desert area and there literally unlimited amount of sand everywhere!
can anyone suggest me a good tempered glass? I have checked some on amazon but reviews says they suck!
I have had two different TGSP now and they both End up the same. Does not stick to the edges due to the curved screen. But mine does not Collect lint at all even though it does not adhere to the screen.
I have not tested orzly or similar but they seem to work bad with cases so.. heard though that orzly were coming with a new model soon that is slimmer.
Tried a few, all junk.. Until i bought the orzly brand. The one with the black tinted frame.
I could be lucky but It fits perfectly, stick securely to the screen and is now holding for 10days of very heavy use without a scratch or bubble or anything.! Can be used with the original sandstone cover and does cover the whole screen!

Pictures and link to the specific protector you use? Would it work with cases with a lip around the front screen?
I ordered one similar. Is it easy to apply? your general thoughts on clarity, touch, etc?

I think it is the best for phones with cases even though there are issues with the "Halo" and it doesn't go edge to edge. The edge to edge or full coverage tgsp pull up with cases.

It depends on how you are aligning the TGSP. For my personal preference I've installed it a little more towards the left side to maintain perfect readability and on the left I can see 1.5 mm halo effect that is like some 2.D visual bending effect. With the screen on you notice a some small rainbow effect but that is the only noticeable distortion. I will send some picture later
Has anyone tried the TGSP from OnePlus? Does seem to be on the pricier side, but since it's from OP, it shouldn't have any problems with fitting at least

This is like the only quality tgsp available in my area, so can you tell me, does it fit with casings like the tudia merge? Cause I'm thinking of buying/
Using Nilkin Amazing H+ PRO. It doesn't stick all the way because of the curved screen but it doesn't colect dust in those gaps. Actually no glass for OP3 sticks to the very end. It's all transparent (no black areas), and covers the front camera.
I saw this review and went for it. Can confirm that everything in the video is true.
EDIT: Can't confirm any compatibility with cases since I don't have and don't use any.
EDIT: Got a refund, the glass started to completely come off the top of the phone, and what with covering the notification light and a bit of the front-facing camera, that was the end of it.
I put the Pleison tempered glass protector on my OP3 yesterday; it's the 'new version' screen protector found on Amazon. It's OK, it covers the screen (I've also got it in a Spigen Neo Hybrid case), but the cutout for the front-facing cam isn't exact, there's a bit of 'shadow' on the right-side of the cam when you go to take a picture/video chat/etc. It also completely blocks the notification light, which is a PITA.
The top of the protector isn't 100% adherent to the screen, there's just a tiny bit of gappage that you can feel. Also, it makes it a little less than responsive when swiping down to open up the status bar/Notification Bar, you have to make sure to press a little harder than you normally would.
There was a little 'rainbow' effect going on when I first installed it, but that went away by the end of the day. All in all it seems like one of the better protectors out there, given Amazon reviews, but I don't think any company's got it down 100% yet. I have no idea why......

Brought the OnePlus TGSP with the phone a few months ago. The glass is the same size as the film that came with the phone, so it doesn't cover edge to edge. Pretty annoying because there's about 1 mm gap on each side between the edge of the screen and the TGSP. I haven't put it on yet.
It seems like all of the TGSP leave a halo effect based on the reviews.
I am using the Orzly glass and I am not fascinated about it.
Yes it covers the whole screen, yes it is compatible with the original OnePlus Snadstone hard case.
What i don't like is that it collects a lot of fingerprints thus making the screen hellish in direct sunlight. Add this to the clearly visible dots and one of the advantages of OP3 is gone.
I am still researching for a good TGSP and might try the new one from OP.

Tempered glass screen protector for Xiaomi Mi 6

Did you guys have any luck with screen protectors?
I purchased 2 on gearbest (transparent ones, not the ones with tinted bezels) and they look horrible, all the bezels and around the home button... it looks unsticked due to the slight glass curvature. I'll upload pictures once I can.
I had the same and threw them away 1 minute after installation because they didn't stick near the edges...
So I ordered these on Ali Express. They fit quite well but don't really 'stick' the same way as the thicker ones do on a perfect flat screen so there is a way dust can get under that screen protector...

Thanks! It appears there isn't the ugly edges because it is smaller than the curved parts, but coupled with a good "all around" bumper case, that should suffice...
i use a non brand, from Chinese, tempered glass.
but it's 3D, edge to edge, curved tempered glass, covers fully until the metal sides
it even works perfectly with a case, full protection till the edge of the case
not sure if it can be found outside my country though, since its a no brand thing

Hi, I would love to see a pic!
Also how is the glare on it?
It seems strange that high quality screen protectors that cover the whole mi 6 screen are so hard to come by. The ones with the coloured edges are sufficient to cover up the defects around the edges but I find the glare on them terrible.

Greetings.
I have a Kapaver solid case, specifically this ...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071...s=Case+mi6&dpPl=1&dpID=51MwFWjHV3L&ref=plSrch
The case alone I recommend, the touch of the case and the design seems excellent, and gives a very good feeling of protection of the casing, the problem arises when I supplement it with a tempered glass screen protector brand SMTR that I purchased, in particular this ...
https://www.amazon.es/Protector-Pant...X76P4DZ0K67DWZ
The tempered glass soon after putting the case up, I tried with the 2 crystals that are included, and both are detached. They do not seem to detach on their own, but when they put the case on, they leverage and raise them.
My question is:
With a protector that protects curved edges may not happen to me?
What protector do you recommend me with a rigid case like the one I have?
Thanks in advance.

I think my screen protector wouldn't fit with your case, since the lips of your case is far more towards the screen, my case's lips is shorter, just barely towards the screen
Hi, I have same screen protector as ZackFF96.
It can be bought from AliExpress, this is the exact one I purchased:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3D-...rved-Edge-Frosted-Protective/32828496451.html
You can find more listings if you search "mi 6 4d glass".
Just make sure it has a similar style plastic backing on the screen protector. This is the only type of glass screen protector I have found to be full cover and full glue on back of glass.
This type of glass screen protector goes almost to the edge of screen, it leaves about 0.25mm of glass around the edge. It also covers about 0.25mm of the sides of the screen, only noticeable in apps which have lines going down the very side of the screen.
I use this case and it fits perfectly with the glass screen protector.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...-and-Silicone-Back-Cover-for/32688209331.html
Compatible with pretty much all cases, I think only the very bulky cases like wooden or big armour cases will not fit. You will need to have the screen protector applied almost perfect though, if too much to one side or corner the case will foul on the glass.

i've installed glass screen protector bought here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/RDC...-For-Xiaomi-Mi8-Mi-8-SE-Full/32881714447.html

All holes for camera, led etc are properly cut.
I'm waiting for other glasses to get off the right one.

But it is not annoying at all. I think that I'm satisfied of the result.

Ferilinso Cristal Templado Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, [2 Pack] [Cobertura Completa] Estuche Libre de Burbujas Película Protectora de Protector de Pantalla con garantía de remplazo (Negro)
(sorry, can't post links until I post more messages).
It fits perfectly. Great feeling. Glue everywhere in the screen. So no bubbles or this iridiscent thing that sometimes apperars. It covers the whole screen, even the edges and it doesn't look like the black edged are taking any space from the display. But there is a major downside. The edges are cut straight. Not rounded. Making them sharp-ish on touch and creating a place where dust and "others entities" can settle their new home. If you don't have a case, go for a rounded edge. But if you have a rather big case, you don't feel the edge.
I'd look for a cover with rounded edges, full coverage and full glue. Then, check reviews to see if there is any display covered by the black parts.

I'm thinking of getting one of them, bit pricey but are they really that good?

In my opinion, definetly.

FOUND! Thin Case with CAMERA PROTECTION

Was using the Samsung OEM silicone case but wanted something that was just as slim but also covered the camera glass because it's so big and pops out. Found this $9 case on Amazon. It has front raised lips for drop protection (minimal) and is actually even slimmer than the Samsung case so it feels like it's barely there. Unblock glossy TPU, it is matte black which I also prefer. I have a video of it here next to the official Samsung one: https://youtu.be/fMflVeSzkwU
I just ordered one...I'll let you know how I like it on Wednesday
Looks good. Wish it came with more color options though..
Good luck with the 3rd mic working properly in that case, though.

But most if not all the cases cover the microphone making it useless?

Not all. I have the ESR Tough Alliance, the Ringke X Fusion and Ringke Air-S. The Ringke cases have some 2mm of space between the camera bump. These cases do not cover the mic. The ESR cases are particularly better for its slanted sides on the camera mic side. It captures audio from the slanted side more effectively.
The Moment thin case is very nice and I think it is what you are looking for. I have it along with several Spigen cases.

You can download the user guide. It's there on page 12.
I went with a case with a sliding cover. By my standards I find the case pretty thin, but I typically go with really rugged cases, so my case thickness standards may differ from yours.

3rd mike useless outside of "scumbag" mode!
BUT! The camera glass shouldn't be covered like that.
Just as you should never put a runner over carpet!
Over time when you think you are protecting what's underneath you will find you're doing far more damage.
Why? Dirt gets underneath and will abrade the hell out of the glass.
I'll take my chances, sorry.
Ditto for screen. Can't stand having protectors over screens, ESPECIALLY curved screens. And too, they literally wreck the FP reader action.
JMHO, of course.

I ordered the version of this case with the built in ring stand on the back. Not only are you totally right about the danger of the camera glass getting scratched, but the entire case had no interior protection material to keep grit or dust from scuffing up the phone itself over time. It also didn't fit snug enough to make this issue moot. Immediately returned....
I ordered the LATERCASE its thin but still covers the camera Bump, has been shipped and my note 20 ultra won`t be delivered until the 19th so we`ll see how it goes.

Aliexpress for a cheaper price. Be ready for a long delivery period though of at least a month if not more.

General camera module/rear display protection

Given the size of the camera module with the secondary display, it's bound to get scratch on it sooner or later.
Have been looking around on Aliexpress on options, seems like 2 types so far
1. metal plate with hole cutout for lens and rear display
2. tempered glass covering entire camera hump
There could be a third type coming soon to act like a lens cap to cover the whole area.
Option 1 offers some protection but not the lens or rear display.
Option 2 means that the camera needs to shoot through an extra layer of glass - not a big fan as it could introduce artefacts to the photo
I see that Nilkin has a tempered glass option with anti reflective coating, but for more than 10 dollars for something so small doesn't seem to justify the cost.
i have a case that has cutouts just for the lenses and i think this is the perfect protection for the bulky back of the phone. scratches to the glass are still possible but not that easy anymore.

Rhino Shield should release their cases for the Mi 11 Ultra soon. But their cases are always so bulky, so the phone will be even heavier. Although they do offer great protection.

It wasn't a problem cause it's the back microphone, not the one you use for calls.
