Well I finally got the S Health App update for my watch and it's there now.

Is it released in Italy?
Maybe it is like in FR, Spo2 is not available yet. According to samsung it is because they're not authorized yet. But might be just because their sensors and systems are flawed or just suck.
Apple and Withings had this validated in no time...

Do you know if there is an unlocked version of s health that would allow me to use the sp02 widget? i changed my CSC from canada to USA and then to KOO to get the new update, BP and ECG work fine and i can see the widget in the wearable app but it wont let me save it to the watch and it doesnt appear in s health, i have a SM-R820 on tizen 5.5.0.1 R820XXU1CTH8 paired with a Pixel 4xl. Do you think it could be because I'm in canada that its restricted?

Help with Android Messages

I finally made the jump and purchased my first smart watch; I have the new Galaxy watch 3 and a S10e.
My main gripes/issues so far:
I use the Google/Android version of messages not the default Samsung one. The Google version of the App is not available in the Galaxy store. The watch is constantly asking me to change to the Samsung version on my phone (not happening) and I can't go back a look at old messages on my watch. Is there any way to fix that, or sideload a google version of the app on these watches?
Also all the health monitoring features are restricted out side of the S. Korean regions. Should've done more research before the purchase....

New features are coming to USA at least. They just released the oxygen sensor update and the ECG just passed FDA approval so will undoubtedly be coming soon.

any info on google message app on the S3? i use the OnePlus 6t and i get my messages but only test, no images, and i cant initiate a new message using google messages, nor view older messages.
I was at least getting android MESSAGES notification on my GW3 but not any more-I tried rebooting rechecked app settings nothing obvious found. I have notifications for Android Messages still toggled on in the Gear Wear app still. Frustrating....

ECG Outside US? Need Directions?

I received my Galaxy watch three yesterday here in Canada. I know officially the new features such as ECG are not available here. I'm doubtful they will be anytime soon. How can I somehow get these features outside of the US on my device? I'm pretty sure it's possible but I'm not sure where to start and look for proper watch three instructions that won't mess up my device. Thank you.

Does VO2Max as well?
Any tips on changing the region for GW3 or has that not been figured out yet?

I still can't figure out the proper procedure for the Watch 3. ?
I was using online chat to Samsung support yesterday in the UK and he told me that the ECG and blood pressure monitor would be working when I receive the watch next Friday.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a copy of the message transcript although I guess I could ask for it.
Does anyone know if this is true?

The SM-R840 model? Did you do this as soon as you received it or did you update everything on the watch first?
Does Samsung pay still and all the other apps work fine?
Changing CSC to KOO doesn't enable the missing features?

Yes it's the R840 model, Tizen 5.5.0.1, build BTG6.
I don't use Samsung Pay, but everything I use seems to work fine
I installed the BP and ECG option using the "without a PC" option. Worked like a charm. Many thanks!
One question: will there be app updates available for the patched versions?
WIthout PC option worked perfectly on US BTE model.
Without PC method validated for France model, thanks ! Works great.
In addition, is there any method to get SPO2 ? Like through a VPN or something ? Thks
Do bp or ECG require a Samsung phone?
Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk
Does sideloading the app create problems when the official update is released?

I know the contacts do not sync for us pixel 4 XL owners, but Samsung store person told me that other features need Samsung phone. Hope someone can confirm.
I followed the video and the new SHM app appeared on my watch for a second but when I clicked it, it just closed and then disappeared.
Now, whenever I try to install the "Retailmode" app, I get the message on my phone that the APK was installed, I see the samsung accessory service transferring it to my phone but the the wear app pops up a toast saying "failed to install the app".
I checked under my wear app's list of installed app and it's not there (should it appear there)? Any idea what's going on? This is a US model GW3.

blood oxygen in canada

Hello everyone,
since I updated my watch. blood oxygen feature got removed. is there anyway i can get it back ?
Thanks
Interesting. I've not gotten the update yet, and I'm wondering if it's because I haven't activated LTE with my carrier.
Anyway, did you try uninstalling SHM and re-installing the modded one provided in this forum? I'm thinking maybe the update pushed a different app to your phone.
So, along those lines, probably should disable auto-update of the Samsung Health apps in the Google Play store.

well I didn't see but I saw the update came few days ago which indicate blood oxygen will be removed in canada. my watch is galaxy 3 Bluetooth model.
Has anyone figured out a way to enable this on the Watch3 Canada? I see the widget from the wearable app however when I add the widget nothing happens on the watch.
IMHO the question is... who control this feature?
Samsung Health Android on Phone... APK?
or
Samsung Health on Watch... TPK?
Or both?
No idea, maybe somebody have time to check this modified APK...

Modified APK does not add the blood oxygen, so I would then assume the answer is either TPK or both

Installing the modified app I'm able to get into the developer mode and in developer mode I can select the region. Changing the region of the app to US, I'm able to get blood oxygen and stress to come up in the app on the phone, but they do not come up on the watch.

Samsung Health Monitor

I just got the latest watch update in the UK today which is great.
However the phone app "Samsung Health Monitor" keeps telling me this app is not available in your country...
Anyone have any ideas or see something similar?

@Dante63 Thank you for sharing - SHM has added more check for geo. I was confused whether to get all latest updates on watch and shm on phone (had installed pacthed ecg, bp tpks). Was afraid - what if new shm / watch firmware - does any new checks. From your post, it sure looks they have added more checks (so i might loose access to ecg, bp). Am not sure of conclusion, please do correct me if wrong. Thanks for sharing info about geo.

The watch doesn't have any checks... it's easier and less battery consuming to check on the phone... putting checks on the watch will drain the battery...

This process worked for me and now I finally have BP working on my watch in the US!

Latest SMH has country restrictions Samsung decided to push... I have modified the app, removed country and root detection...
Aside from that, device restriction thanks to @l0nax and took the opportunity to reduce the age restriction from 22 to 16...
Also, since my thread has different versions and old versions have force update, I removed that, so It's easy to bounce between different versions...
You can grab any from my thread and hopefully it works for you two
I have installed SHM in my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G for my Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 without restrictions from another thread here and I was able to measure blood pressure and do ECG. Change csc of galaxy watch active 2

Hey ,
I am from india,
Does anyone have any idea on how to successfully change the csc of watch active 2 to get ecg , bp and samsung pay .
The technoproz method ( mentioned below) on youtube seems to be old and outdated.
Moreover it requires going back to tizen 4.x , which in my opinion is a restriction now as with latest fw you cannot downgrade..
There is a method which is risk free and you can use ECG and BP Feature but Samsung Pay is still not working.
Let me know if you want to know or already found a way?
