from MIUI 11 i am experiencing issue with BT devices disconnecting while using wifi hotspot. Once hotspot is active everything works for a while but then BT stops working and disconnects devices.
IT IS present Also in custom roms. Anyone Has this issue and know about some fix?

Is your hotspot in the 2.4 GHz band ? If the answer is yes, try 5 GHz.

i will try, but unfortunately the client devices does not support 5ghz
i think it's a hardware issue as it does it with every, also custom roms...

It's mostly unrelated (at least with phone) but I recently started using a new small PC. The bluetooth disconnected too easily, even at less than 2 meters, a slight move of my head(phone) was enough to cut the music. Then I disabled the Wi-Fi interface and Bluetooth connection became robust even in the next room several meters away. That's probably because Wi-Fi and BT uses the same 2.4 GHz band.
Concerning Xiaomi smartphones, I use them everyday to listen to music while Wi-Fi is on (either in the 2.4 or 5 GHz band) and never observed a disconnection (xiaomi.eu or other custom ROMs). But I haven't tried in hotspot mode.

yes it's work as it should until i enable the hotspot, even then, it works sometimes for like an hour and then it starts... solution is airplane mode on/off and it works for a few again.
i use this a lot, as i do hotspot for kids and wife in the car, and i also work a lot remotely and this disconnects everything from BT audio to watch and it's really annoying. :/

I just made the test, phone connected to LTE and my home routeur in the 5 GHz band. Then connected in aptX HD to "PLT Focus" headphone. After that I turned on hotspot in the 2.4 GHz and I havent observed a disconnection yet (after 15 minutes). But I live in the countryside where the whole Wi-Fi spectrum appears almost unused. I usually can detect only one other access point with a very weak signal. So, even if I was able to test for several hours, it wouldn't prove anything as your use case is very different. It may come from interferences on the same channels used by others while your vehicle moves. I don't know if we can control what channel is allocated by the hotspot but it's probably dynamic. I guess that when you switch off then on, it just select another less used channel then it works again for a while.

I dont know how long this has been happining because up to 2 days ago I dident use any bluetooth devices with my phone but I just found out yesterday I was having a problem and after hours of searching and narrowing the problem down I finnaly found that enabling wifi caused my bluetooth range to drop to just a cople inches.
The reason I need wifi is that I dont get anything past "E" were I live and thats not vary good for orb and streaming Movies and TV
The reason I started using Bluetooth is I bought a hands free headset and a BT Gamepad, both of there ranges are 1-2 inches but jump to the correct range when wifi is off.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the bluetooth and wifi probably operate off the same sytem in the kaiser?
If I had to guess, it would have something to with your battery. If you have a weak phone signal, your battery has to work harder to keep the call up. Just my guess
Thats another thing to try, try keeping the phone plugged in while you do this and see if the results vary from not having it plugged in.
I actually saw it to vary from ROM to ROM. On XDA Live 2.0, i could never use both simeltaneously. If i turned wifi on, my headset would disconnect. After I made my ROM, i had no problems whatsoever with both coexisting.
It's normal. Both interfaces use the same frequency band and must share it. When one uses a lot of the available bandwidth, the other is likely to be thrown off. Now if people report different behavior between ROMs it might be stuff like the prioritization between the 2 being different, or simply low-level settings like the number of retries in case of failed transmissions (as many of those will occur when both interfaces are used simultaneously) before a packet is dropped/connection is lost.
An example of the other way, if I use my stereo handset to listen to music (bandwidth-intensive), the Wifi will disconnect even if I'm 2m away from the router.

Friends ...... , HTC One it seems has a terrible Bluetooth range ....... I have a Logitech BoomBox (Bluetooth spks) and a Belkin Bluetooth receiver connected to my AVR. In both the cases, when connected to my HTC One it looses audio in just couple of feets. Specially with belkin receiver. But when I tested the same with my iPhone 4, it works perfectly, till the Bluetooth's designated range of 30 feet (10 meters) ... with both Belkin and Logitech ....
so it has something to do with HTC One's Bluetooth.
People with HTC One and having any Bluetooth audio device, please test this and report if you are also facing the same issue, Or is there something that I can try to increase the range. Its pathetic, 2-3 feets at the max. I am bitterly disappointed with this ..........

I think that Android 4.1 had a BT flaw that was fixed in 4.2.
so this means its more of an android issue than HTC One........ any alternatives to improve this, till we have an 4.2 update
I was using bt audio yesterday and it was horrible. I did some googling, try turning off wifi before you connect to the speakers, it solved my trouble straight away. I found if the music was playing when I turned wifi back on it would still be ok. Might help?

Jiggle .... my friend, you made the day for me, how so ever strange may it seem, it did work .... ..... I switched of my wifi and then connected Bluetooth to Belkin receiver and vola!! :victory:... no drop outs and was able to use BT at full 30 feets, and then if I switch on the wifi later all is well.
Strange, if wifi is working before I connect BT, it drops and is very uneven ......... must be some bug, but anyway, solution is not as irritating as one might expect.
Thanks again Jiggle, for you input, saved me a great disappointment.

whew you had me in a panic here. (o; I'm still a little traumatized from my asus T201 wireless issues.
The Wifi/bluetooth issue is a drawback of the aluminum body design of the One. Bluetooth shares an antenna with wifi transmit. I believe wifi receive shouldn't interrupt bt though.
Then there should also be a problem if I switch on wifi after I connect BT. ,... in which case it works. It only creates a problem, if the wifi is first on and then I connect BT. ...... which is strange
Just for information. I had 3 htc, desire hd, sensation, onex and ALL had problem with bluetooth, weak signal, using a headset with the phone in my pocket already failed. I now have a note2 and this problem does not occur, being used in the same situation. So ....

My m7 (TrickDroid, elementalX 0.11 default overclocking and undervolting) is having the BT issue whenever wifi is on, regardless of whether I connect the BT device while wifi is off, and regardless of whether audio is playing when the wifi is turned back on. In other words, on my device, BT really really sucks if wifi is connected, period. Any suggestions other than not to use wifi if I want to use BT?
Update: My router (Netgear wnr2000v3) seems to use 2.4 Ghz channels. Any thoughts about whether swapping the router with a dual-band or 5 Ghz channel router would work around this issue?

I did pick up a new dual-band router and set up the phone to connect only on the 5Ghz band, and it worked! No more bluetooth issues at home. So if you run into this issue, a temporary workaround until (hopefully) HTC/Google provide a fix is to avoid the 2.4Ghz band.
Strangely enough, my Bluetooth range keeps decreasing with each software update. When I first bought this thing, I was generally impressed with how far I could walk from my BT speakers. Not as good as my evo 4g or 3d, but decent. Better than my gs3 and gn2.
Now I tend to make it about 5 feet or so with minor cut-outs while using apt-x. If I put my hand between the signal at 10ft, I can stop it completely. If I touch the upper-right of my phone with my thumb as I hold it in my right hand, I can kill the signal as well. Very much an antennagate going on here just like the iPhone 4.

I have bought this tablet recently. One thing that does not seem to work, is the simultaneous use of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. When I stream a radio station, it works fine until I connect to my Bluetooth speaker. Then the app loses WiFi connection all the time, and has to reconnect all the time.
I tried other apps, all behave the same. When I use my Acer tablet (same app, same location, same network, same speaker, same radio station etc. etc. ) everything works perfect, so the Asus seems the problem here.
I narrowed the problem down to interference between Bluetooth and WiFi: when I do a speedtest, WiFi speed drops from around 35 Mbps to 5 Mbps at exactly the moment sound starts coming out og the bluetooth speaker.
Is this a known issue, , anyone experience this, how couldthis be solved?

Do you see a drop in WiFi speed when you have a Bluetooth device connected? The mi a3 has this problem where Bluetooth connection significantly cuts down WiFi speed (verified by speed test app). Turning on location service also does the same, but to lesser extent.
I'm curious if the cc9/9 lite has the same problem.
Had the same phenomenon on the Mi A2 Lite, bit did not notice it yet on the Mi 9 Lite...
Hello, i was having this on Huawei P10 lite and i think the problem is that wifi and bluetooth use the same antenna. On mi 9 lite i checked this like 5 minutes ago and is all good, i got the same speed with bluetooth turned on and off.

Thanks. Did you connect to a Bluetooth device? On A3, just turning Bluetooth on doesn't affect WiFi, but connecting to an actual Bluetooth device slows it down, and actively using it, like listening to music even from internal memory, really slows it down.
Yes it's slows down but not as bad as on my moto G5 plus

Yes, i was connected to my Bluedio T4S and using Ymusic (YouTube player), all speeds was the same

The problem is not that bluetooth and wifi use the same antenna, it is a bug of google services. The service calling "NearbyMessagesService" is the cause of this. If you have root you can disable it, then everything works normal. The problem does not happen on mi9lite with miui, it should occur with some AOSP rom or android one devices.

and searched through the results and could not find the word nearby or near. Could it be called something else in Android pie (it's an Android One phone)
There's something in Settings called Bluetooth scanning "allows apps and services to scan for nearby devices at any time even when Bluetooth is off" but I've already disabled. I think it asked during initial set up and I said no.

I also think that it is Android problem, not a hardware problem. I have MI A2 lite. Problems with bluetooth+wifi started after upgrading to Android 9. On Android 8 it was ok.
Bluetooth affects WiFi connection when it is used on same unit on most devices (phones, tablets, laptops etc.).
On some devices WiFi might even become unusable, while you are trying use both on same device at same time, e.g. surf web (thru Wifi) while transferring photos (thru BT).
Both Bluetooth and Wifi use same 2.4GHz frequency which causes interference (unless you use 5GHz WiFi), it's not a bug.
I just gone my Pixel 5 rooted and set up, but I've noticed annoying audio drops fairly regularly while having the hotspot on with not much going through it. Has anyone else noticed this, and is there a solution?
Nobody else noticed this issue? There seems to be shared bandwidth between the wifi and bluetooth. Fairly common for them to be on the same chip for sure but it's pretty unusable if I have tether active. Just got some new headphones that use ldac and the bandwidth requirement is so high it chokes immediately and is just unbearable garbage.
Any chance there might be a fix or is this hardware? It might have to do with using 2.4Ghz for tether. (Older devices)
BT and Wifi both operate in the 2.4ghz range.
See if tethering to 5ghz solves the problem.
My guess is that it's related to all that data transmission on two technologies that share a similar spectrum.
Could also be power consumption, being that this is not a flagship processor.
If rooted with a non stock firmware all bets are off... the firmware controls nearly all aspects of the chipsets programmable operation.
