Screenshot and Screen Recorder Help Needed - ASUS ROG Phone 3 Questions & Answers

I just got the ROG Phone 3.
With the Screenshot and the Screen Recorder functions, is there a way to crop the image?
On my previous phone I could screen capture a portion of the screen by drawing a square around it. It was handy to cut out an ad or unwanted part of the image.
Similarly, I could select the area of the screen that I wished to record. This again helped for the same reasons.
The ROG Phone 3 seems to only allow the whole screen to be captured or recorded (unless I'm missing something?).

[Q] Using Gear for remote touch?

Hi,
I recently started to take a lot of photospheres on a tripod. Sometimes the pictures turns out blurring because of turning, sometimes it's just random. To take a picture again, we have to press "back arrow" in top right corner (landscape). But when phone is attached on tripod, even a simple touch can easily blurry the pictures. Therefore here is my question. Is there a way to emulate a touch press? Maybe using tasker?
Example - when I press the script on Gear, I want my phone to touch the pixels coordinated for example at 1800x400 (from 1920x1080). Is that possible? I hope I made it clear enough

Dialer/Call Screen mods/fixes

After recently rooting my J7, I've decided to use one of the resolution changing apps to give my phone a 1080x1920 pixel faked resolution, with a dpi of 280. For the most part, it works. Some built-in apps such as the camera or even the touchwiz launcher (seems some UI elements used hard-coded numbers to define regions, or in case of the camera, the view is almost a quarter of the screen with black around the edge, and the touch input is offset to a different corner.
All else seemed good, until I realized another major flaw - the call screen - it works, however when trying to pull up the keypad when in a call, it only displays a single, gigantic 1 button. no other buttons are available. Button-based menus are of course now impossible to navigate... unless every button to press is 1, 1 and 1. And then 1.
Can't take pictures of it now as the resolution change causes an issue for screenshots - I'll need to get a screenshot app for this, but ultimately, are there apps that replace the call screen? I thought a dialer app would fix this but the one I have only replaces the text/call/contacts apps, not actually calling. I'd prefer there to be an app that can replace it, as it seems most third party apps are almost never hard-coded to a specific resolution, meaning I'd imagine it should work on my modded phone.
If more explanations are needed I can try to provide some screenshots as needed when i'm done. I'm really hoping I don't have to reset the screen. I love how everything works otherwise...

Install Google Phone apk and set it as the default dialer app.
It also replaces the incall screen

Awesome. It worked like a charm. Thank you so much!

[Guide] Wide angle Video Recording.

Dial *#*#1597#*#* on the dialer this will open the camera app. Switch to video mode, Click on the red letter on the right top Lens: Back (Dual)(0) double click on that until you get the Lens: Back (Wide)(3) . Recording works fine from there, but need to do the same every time you need the wide angle.
Thanks!! It works! You rock man!
This is actually super good alternative until Oneplus let us do it by default. Thank you.
The wide lens can only record at 1080p?
The quality in lower light is worse than default video, obviously. But great to have! Someone needs to make a shortcut or something that jumps straight into this, until OnePlus gives us the ability.
Looks like you can just double tap anywhere to switch which camera is used. Seems like this is debug mode for the Camera app. I wonder if this has been includes since 9.5.0 or recently added. Indicating OnePlus indeed started working on this feature.

Screen display - Front Screen/Camera display by app issue

Until yesterday, when playing games I was able to view them full screen (edge to edge) even showing over the front camera (which I was content with); however, I have updated software to CPH2305_11_A 18 and now the left hand side of the screen has a border, even if I select Auto adapt, Show front camera or Hide front camera (show app in full screen) options, the border still remains. Has anybody come across this issue and how did you solve it?

Question Punch hole is bigger than the other phones

Hi, my phone has a bigger punch hole than other phones I saw in YouTube, and only when I change the position of the phone from vertical to horizontal, the hole becomes small for a moment, but it returns to the same size as before. Even in the movie player, it is not small. I changed the region of the phone, but the hole did not change
Is there a way to make this hole look small everywhere?
Is it the same for you or not?
update: I want it to be like photo 2, but it is always like photo 1

Strange issue
I understood the solution
You have to go into the camera app, then change the mode from 4: 3 to full screen, then the hole will be small
change camera permissions and change it to use when the app is in use , change mode to full screen on camera settings and disable MIUI optimizations
