I need assistance from Australian users of Desire 510 (D510n) - HTC Desire 510

Hi all, I have a Desire 510 (D510n), I assume it's a 64bit version.
Long story short purchased a lot of devices on ebay cheap, The Desire 510 (D510n) had no rom that would boot, I assume someone else was tinkering with it, I was able to get the bootloader unlocked and was able to flash a version of twrp I had found in this forum, I may have messed up doing that as I can not do anything with it, It wont flash any roms, it will complete flash but will not boot, I tried many RRU and cannot get it to connect with them, sideloading twrp or cwm will not override the twrp currently on it, I can sd flash in the pre recovery mode but cannot flash as it says its to large.
I have almost run completely out of ideas, I was hoping to ask someone if they happen to have a RUU that is for aus so I can extract the rom.zip from temp folder or a twrp backup of Australia stock to test if twrp will at least flash that.
I am happy to update with any details I can and will post pictures if that helps.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
Cheers, R3AL

[Q] How to restore an unlocked, rooted, flashed phone back to stock?

Hi everyone, I am a new android user so I could use a little help!
I got my black HTC One sim-free version from Amazon UK, and have had a lot of fun using and learning about android. However I need to return the phone back to amazon, and am worried they won't take it due to the modifications now.
I unlocked my bootloader, rooted by installing SuperUser, installed CWM recovery and then flashed Trickdroid 5.2.1.
It's all working but I'm not really sure how I managed to get to this point as I just used Hasoon2000's excellent toolkit, with some more help from Torxx' tutorial (the AIO app came up with some errors after unlocking the bootloader). Foolishly I didn't make a backup of the original/stock rom or recovery either...
Can I just flash the Odexed version of the stock rom and associated recovery.img can I restore the phone back to stock? And what would be the order of doing that, and the commands I need to issue?
Thanks in advance.
have a look here might help you out

Thanks I read through that thread before.
I found 2 posts that sort of do what I need:

I am assuming what the did is what I need to do, however their instructions aren't clear enough for me!
Can anyone break down what commands are needed either with the command prompt and fastboot?
Or how to use the All in One app, and in what order?
Thanks!

Both post doesn't tell you how to put your rooted HTC One back to stock, It actually shows you how to unlock boot loader and root your phone.
been a while since ive used android, but I always remember having to flash the RUU and unroot
If you have a nandroid backup, can't you flash back to stock with that?

Unfortunately I didn't make a backup...
I too have this same problem and am yet to find a difinitive solution
Relock the bootloader then flash the appropriate RUU
the installation will fail if the CID don't match
Use this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35975359&postcount=3
Edit: You can also search the HTC One X Forums, the step-by-step manuals should work the same way (of course you have to use the One drivers and appropiate RUUs/Nandroid backups). When I reverted my old HOX back to stock to sell it I had to take a nandroid backup because I had a O2-branded HOX and O2 never released the appropiate RUU for Jelly Bean.
Edit 2: Link from HOX Forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714
And here are the Links for RUU/Nandroid Collection for the One: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39588860&postcount=1
Of course you have to use the appropiate One files (check CID)!

I rooted my HTC One and every time I go to install the OTA update, it just brings me to the bootloader. Nothing more then that. Is it because I didn't do a nandroid backup? Not too sure what that is. I'm also running stock Sense 5, no Roms or anything.
please help!
in order to install OTA, your phone needs a stock recovery, not a custom one.

Flashing back stock recovery?

Hi there,
I have a not so intelligent question I'm afraid. I have a HTC J One (japanese version of the One, no decent custom roms available) and we finally got the 4.2.2 update. But I got TWRP installed. Obviously I need to go back to the stock recovery. But this it really matter which one I flash? All I have been able to find is an unsigned RUU.
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=5250
I'm guessing the recovery in the top file or the ruu is the stock recovery? Even if it's not, it won't brick my phone correct? I've flashed multiple version of CWM and TWRP as some didn't work and that all went fine but for some reason I'm a bit scared about flashing back stock stuff hehe.
Thanks.

Sprint HTC One stuck on logo, tried almost everything but to no avail

Hello,
I am new to xda forum and expecting a helping hand from fellow members, here's the scenario, I have a sprint htc one which was working fine a few days ago before i decided to act smart .
It was rooted when i purchased it so i thought of flashing a new custom rom into it.I tried flashing (HTC_One_-_MaximusHD_53.0.0) and this one (NuSenSeveN-LP-m7-Sprint_v4.02_050715) and ended up being stuck at green HTC logo, even though the physical buttons are performing their respective functions when pressed but the screen shows just the htc one logo and nothing else.
It is unlocked, tampered and s-on and i have twrp recovery on board, hboot 1.57.0000
WHAT I HAVE ALREADY TRIED AND FAILED:
1) tried rum runner to turn s-off because i though may b because of s-on the roms are not being flashed properly but it says adb device not found
2) tried flashing Bad_Boyz_Sprint_ONE_M7_Lollipop_v2.0 but stuck at handsfree activation, even though i deleted htcwizard.apk.
Now the bottom line is, I am unable to use my device and in desperate need of your help.
Please respond, awaiting to put my hand back on the device.
Thank You
Flashing MaximusHD_53.0.0 messed up your partitions (it's not Sprint compatible as far as I know) and NuSenSeveN you have to fastboot flash the kernel separately ( I had the same problem lol)
The easiest fix would be to run the latest RUU and start fresh, then only flash roms that are Sprint compatible.

Hey thanks for the response, I am not tech geek so I have no idea how to flash the latest RUU can you please be more specific about how to perform the above mentioned process or can you have a chat on hangouts as I have altready added you on it.
Thanks alot
Try to flash ruu which could be found on other posts do u know how to boot into the bootloader?
problem solved
Update: thanks to @Sloth I have fixed the problem, if anyone out there who owns a sprint htc one and have messed up his phone by flashing an incompatible rom the way i did, first relock your bootloader if you are s-on and then simply download RUU file from htc official website, make sure its for sprint variant.
Once the bootloader is relocked simply run ruu.exe file that you have downloaded and you are done.
Note: if the ruu setup says that you phone is not connected or gets stuck, boot into recovery and perform factory, after that re-try running ruu.
Thanks Sloth, and thanks xda members

Alot of phones ive noticed especially HTCs and the like wont boot directly into recovery when using adb commands,im guess it may have something to do with the order the phone boots the partitions and allows access to them.i have a 626s,i see youre asking about the 626,but i assume the process may be similar.if you are able to boot into TWRP,download the flashable supersu zip from chainfires website, then flash/install from TWRP. That should root your phone if your bootloader is indeed unlocked & you have TWRP. S-ON/S-OFF wont play a factor if youre unlocked.
If this does not work, whats your OS Version and model #? Is it 5.1?

Hi thabks for your reply man I do have bootloader unlocked for sure but the problem is every time I boot into recovery it loads the htc screen with red writing at the bottom then dose not load just reboots back to bootloader screen and dose not go into twrp just reboots everytime into fastboot screen I use the twrp for 626s new version realsed by captian as there is no custom rom for 626 also I am on 5.1thats correct it seems to be impossible to get it rooted
Its not necessarily impossible,if you flash twrp via fastboot commands,it shouldnt be an issue.
"Fastboot flash recovery filename.img" where the filename is whatever your recovery file is.when you boot into the bootloader, click on go to recovery.if thats not working,im guessing that this twrp isnt gunna work for your device.
What does the red writing say out of curiousity? Does it show an htc logo and something like security warning etc.?
