QCOM mode for HS-USB diag - Moto G9 Plus Questions & Answers

Hello,
Does anybody know how I can put G9 Plus to QCOM mode? In Fastboot this point absent.
I noticed that same situation for G8 Plus. But unfortunately did not found suitable solution.
Thank You in advance.

You can strip your phone cable wire and connect the green wire which is data + with the black wire which would be ground. That would trick the system into thinking your phone is shorted and send you to Qcom mode.
Or else you can find the Pinout and with a pair of tweezers short those pins on the motherboard while booting.
Last but not least sometimes flashing another phones firmware on your phone could lead you to it too. ( Like flashing Moto G5s Plus on your Moto G9 Plus

[Q] HTC One not charging. Stuck in USB host mode?

I've had a small look around the forums but I can't find a straight solution to my exact problem. It seems I cannot charge my phone without turning my phone off completely and letting it charge while it's off. I can't connect to my pc as mass storage because it acts like my phone has an OTG device plugged in instead of the power cord. I've read solutions explaining you can cut the cord open and cut to wires so it doesnt read as USB mode. I dont really want to do this and I don't believe that should be the last option.
If someone knows of any solution can you help please. Thanks
I have the same problem, it does not charge.
The ONE HTC is sending charge(I assume, waiting for a device in OTG).
How to solve this problem without cutting wires?
are you completely stock? any custom kernels, what rom if any?
Any rom, official or custom.
I used trick of light -> Hold Button + Vol down + Vol UP + Light on sensor
I reverted to a completely stock rom and relocked the bootloader. This fixed the problem but me being me got sick of it and rooted again. It was fine for a bit then same problem occured. However now it only occurs accasionally

Recover Data from a broken phone

Hello,
I'm trying to take off my files from my old Moto X. The screen is black due to the screen's ink which covers the display, but the digitizer is functional and I can unclock my phone! The problem is that when I connect the device to the pc, I can see the XT1097 on the hard drive display but there is nothing inside. I'm thinking that if I could change the USB mode from charging only to Transfer Files would solve the problem but after I blind-unlock the phone I do not feel any vibration.... The phone is rooted but I'm not sure about the USB debugging. I found this, but the links don't work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j0N9bndQUE
I have also installed the TWRP.
Any advice?
edit: I tried to search my phone through ADBDriverInstaller.exe but it cannot be seemed. Maybe the USB debugging is off.

Redmi 4x mainboard problem

Hi, after replacing the lcd (with frame) to the phone, it doesn't started at all (no vibration, nothing) I tried combination of buttons (recovery, bootloader) nothing, dead. Then i put it on the computer (via usb), noting, on a charger no vibration, nothing. Luckily a had a same phone available and searching the problem i change the mainboard and the phone booted! Is there any idea of what happened? Will i need a new mainboard? Or is there any other solution?
talk to a xiaomi service center
It may be a loose connection between the connectors and the main board..

Boot powered off device directly into Fastboot mode

Hello,
I'm attempting to use hardware key combinations in order to boot into Fastboot mode, e.g.. Power + volume up & power + volume down.
The phone is unresponsive. But the phone boots normally when only pressing the power button.
I've read the tutorial about launching Fastboot through a PC connection here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/help/howv-to-phone-fastboot-mode-screenshots-t3966727
But in this case, that wont be an option since my display doesn't work, hence there's no way to accept ABD-permissions when prompted on the phones' screen.
I was initially trying to pull all the data from the phone through ADB. When I realized I hadn't accepted my PC's ADB permissions on my ROG Phone, I had to rethink..
So I thought I could plant my PC's RSA-key (for accepting ADB) in my ROG Phones storage through Fastboot, just pushing the file.
I was dumbfounded when I discovered my ROG Phone 2 to be the only android device I've owned, which seemingly doesn't allow for a raw manual boot into Fastboot? CAN THIS REALLY BE THE CASE?
Any input would be highly appreciated
EDIT: I've ordered an USB-c hub for inputting kb+m & HDMI, which should allow me to accept the permissions. Although some of the data I'm trying to reach are time sensitive, any second rescued would be of value!
Similar problem
Hello,
I have a similar problem. My display is broken but the phone seems to still work. I bought an USB-C hub, but when I connect the phone to the TV (via the side USB port) it only shows a white "Asus rog" logo for a few seconds and then vanishes. When I click the mouse the logo reappears again for a few seconds.
Did it work with the hub you got? Do you have an other idea? I need the data that ist sadly still on the phone.
Thank you for your help.

I did work with the usb-c hub. Never saw any white ASUS ROG logo, I'm not sure what's going on with your phone. Also I later replaced the screen third-party, since ASUS charges a lot of money and insists on factory reseting the phone. So you could always do the latter if nothing else works. Send me a PM if you want the display I got.

Trying to unbrick OP3t

So im trying to unbrick my 3t, its my 2nd device.. and i tried with MSM tool. i keep getting errors such as firehouse communiocation handshake failed, sahara communication etc. For some reason when i just hold vol up by itself it doesnt show up as qualcomm in device manager. i have to hold power as well. but i keep getting different errors
The correct way to enter Qualcomm restore is by making sure the phone is 100% turned off and wait some more. Then keep pressing volume up while connecting cable until device shows up as the Qualcomm restore device. If it doesn't work, choose an USB 2.0 port instead of 3.0 or the other way aroune if possible or try another USB-C cable. And if it still doesn't work, maybe the PCB or USB connector of phone is broken in hardware.

You can try pressing and holding down the power button for 40 seconds when phone is on, this should force shutdown your phone without entering quickboot powersave as I think you will get this firehousecheckrsp error if phone was shutdown normal from OxygenOS ROM.
After this, startup the Qualcomm tool on PC, hold volume up and connect USB-cable. Check Windows Device Manager that the Qualcomm device is there and that the driver is working without any exclamation mark on it.

Hello, happy greetings to you and I hope you are safe. I also keep getting firehousecheckrsp failed sahara communication etc even if my device is surely 100% off (as it has no indicator whatsoever even if connected to the power brick, no vibration, just plain black screen). Also did hold the power button for more than 40 secs just to be sure. Though a bit of good news I guess is that my device can be detected as Qualcomm 9008 in Ports & Com in Device Manager when I hold the volume up button for several seconds.
Btw, these are the tools I used but none of them worked.

Have you followed the complete guide?

But for sure it has Something to do with your usb version. Try diverent cable's for sure usb 2.0 is far more stable!

Hello, thanks for noticing my question. I did follow the guide, changed USB ports, used another cable, and I still have the FirehoseCheck RSP Failed errorno:258 also Last Communication Status: Downloading cache.img Failed.
Also tried ones from Android 8 from this thread:

Is there another way for this?
Do hope to hear from you again. Thank you.
