Hi, i am currently using android 9 but recently i am having some issues on this version so i wanted to update to android 10 but i wanted to ask if it's easy to enable original call recorder by huawei in android as well. Because in Android 9 i just installed an apk and it stareted working without root. Please reply thanks in advance.

after updated my note 8 SM-N950F to the latest build android O 8.0.0 i missed two important features as mentioned it is Applock and call recording. any idea about where it gone and how to restore them?

Never had it on my P30 before, but would really like it now. I'm on EMUI 10...
Only solution for now is to downgrade to EMUI9.1, install Call Recorder and then update to EMUI10. After update from 9.1 it works well.

Did you try this man ? because i have the call recording on 9.1 now but i want emui 10..
Yes I tried when the first Beta came out. It was working.
Today arrived EMUI10 OTA firmware and the Call Recorder is working well

It works on EMUI10, but can't be installed on EMUI10. You must have it on 9.1 and do upgrade to EMUI10 via OTA without factory reset.

I am able to install it on version 10. It shows the record button but not working. Im sure a developer can help with this issue.
I am able to install it using apk editor pro. All I did is changing the install location from auto to internal. I don't know why it is making any different, only remember that I read this solve the same issue.
So im sure that if an android developer will take a look at this and change some other thing with apk editor we will be able to install it properly.

That would be great! I saw that there is a beta version for EMUI 10 for Mate 20 Pro, maybe soon there will be for P30 Pro.... hope so! :good:
If someone could help finding a hack, please post instructions on how to install native call recorder for huawei p30 pro emui 10.
Downgrading involves wiping out the device, so that's not an option for me, even with backup and restore.

At this moment You can not do anything else. You must go back to 9, instal recorder and then upgrade to 10. If this isn't option for You the You must stay on 10 without call recording future.

Downgrade to EMUI9.1 (with HiSuite), install Call Recorder and then update to EMUI10. HwCallRecorder.apk works fine.

No it doesnt work. U can use cube acr but the caller voice is very low.
If you have installed the original call recorder on 9.1 and you make the update over ota, it will continue to work.
If you flash the dload method everithyng is wiped and no call recorder on 10

I have a problem, I has the recorder app since EMUI 9, then upgraded to emui 10, it was working well, but yesterday got another update 10.0.0.173.
I just notices than the recorder call isn't working now and all my files from old calls disappear. :crying:
Does any other has the same problem?

I'm an app developer.
Recently, starting from mid of December 2019, I receive a lot of complains from Galaxy S10/ S10+/ S10e users.
After they have upgraded from Android 9 to Android 10, they are no longer able to launch my app anymore. The only workable workaround, is to uninstall my app, and reinstall again. This is very annoying, as this causes app data loss.
From my side, it is very difficult for me to replicate the problem. I can only gain access to Galaxy S10+ remotely (via Samsung Developer Test Lab), which is installed with Android 9, or already installed with Android 10. I suspect, I need to go through an Android 9 to Android 10 upgrade process, only I can reproduce the problem.
The following is the testing I can do so far via remote Samsung Developer Test Lab.
1) Install old version of my app in Android 10.
2) Launch without issue.
3) Upgrade my app to latest version in Android 10.
4) Launch without issue.
I was wondering, as Samsung Galaxy S10/ S10+/ S10e users, do you face any app related issue, after upgrading your device to Android 10, during 2019 December time frame?

Currently, I have disable official download by Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e from Google Play Store due to high crash rate.
You may download the latest APK from here - https://github.com/yccheok/wenote.jstock.co/raw/master/release-2.46.apk
I notice if the user phone is already installed with Android 10, installing WeNote will not cause issue.
However, the problem will more easy to occur, based on the following scenario
1) User phone is using Galaxy S10 Android 9
2) User download and run WeNote
3) User upgrades phone to Android 10
4) User unable to launch WeNote

Crash happens, when user upgrade from Android 9 to Android 10. (WeNote is installed when their phone is in Android 9)
After that, they are no longer able to launch WeNote.
But, if you install WeNote since Android 10, most probably there is no issue.
Can you help me to monitor for few days, to see whether WeNote can continue to be launched even after a few days?

With the P40 Pro someone shared such apk which can be installed on the international models and activate the native call recording features.

UPDATED! Official Call Recorder for EMUI 10.0, 10.1 and 11.0.
UPDATE: New link for EMUI 11 call recorder added. Great for Mate 40 Pro owners. So sadly the official Huawei Call Recorder app no longer worked if you upgraded to 10.1. It only worked under 9.0 and if you upgraded to 10.0. Over on XDA there is a

Thanks for the hint but this is for older models( with EMUI 10). Mate 40 Pro can't be downgraded because it already came with EMUI 11. I hope someone shares the apk soon.

Unfortunately it doesn't. :/
Only models which could go back to 10.1 could downgrade, install it and then upgrade to 11.
