Same question. I got the mi 10t pro global version.. will it work the same?

I doubt it. this is for APOLLO while MI 10T Pro is APOLLOPRO

Well, I got Mi 9T Pro too and its Xiaomi.eu rom works with Mi 9T, K20 and K20 Pro. I am guessing it should work the same way here too.. I just need to confirm tho. ?

does not work on mi 10t pro 8/256

I think it will work. I noticed both apollo and apollo pro (europe, india ,china) has same firmware based on regions.

I also wonder if it works on 10T Pro.
And if I understand correctly it only works if the China rom is flashed on the phone so it won't work with EU or Global rom?

Yeah, this is right. But we dont know if china rom is made the same way EEA. If I cant I'll try later. If it does not work how I do go back? We have the fastboot rom?

Don't even try, tried with india and europe firmware install, the phone goes into the bootloop.
I returned back through the fastboot europe firmware. As soon as the china firmware fastboot appears, I'll try again, otherwise it probably won't start.
Sorry for my English

Are you guys EEA? I got the global version and still have over 100+ hours til I can unlock bootloader. I am eager to see if I can flash Xiaomi.eu rom based on chinese variant over my global version. Hope it works as I preferred chinese version due to its weekly update.

Im EEA. Flashing the rom leads to a bootloop in 10T Pro, so probably Xiaomi.eu team need to adapt something to make it work. It's also possible ROM is only adapted for the regular version due thats the one released on china, but if both phones share the same fw here in eea/global is possible to make it work.

JundiCheah and certification_number thx, works!
As I myself did not guess ... must add this item to the manual! Was it really so difficult to add a line of wipe after the firmware, so that everything was automatic)

I don't think sarcasm is necessary.. doing a data wipe is always a must after flashing a rom after all.. and besides, if you can't say thank you to the Author for their work at least try to say things in a nice way.

Here are my MIUI 8 Global ROMS for the Mi Max Helium (64/128GB versions.) I'll update the rom as each new Global stable build is released. I recommend an unlocked bootloader and TWRP to flash this although it will also work fine with a locked bootloader and TWRP. I will keep these as close to stock as possible while maintaining most of the stock features. I am not responsible for bricked devices as a result of flashing this on a locked bootloader. You have been warned.
Features:
AdAway
Debloated
Insecure boot.img
Latest Gboard
Louder Volume Mod
Nougat Boot Animation
Rooted with Magisk
Instructions:
This is for 64/128gb Helium only. Do not flash this on 32gb Hydrogen or you'll have a bricked phone
Unlock your bootloader
Boot into TWRP
Do a backup
Wipe and flash ROM or dirty flash ROM
That's it, you're done!
Please hit the thanks button!

HELPFUL TIPS:
To permanently set your region if you own the Chinese version, edit the cust/cust/cn/cust.prop and change the region to US and variant to us (or whatever region you're in) then reboot. Your region will stick.
Do not do any OTA's if they come up or you will be in a softbrick.
If you're having an issue PLEASE STATE YOUR PHONE MODEL AND WHETHER YOU CLEAN OR DIRTY FLASHED. Saying you're having an issue without providing any information about the problem will result in your problem not getting fixed.
If you flash or recover a new rom and your lockscreen pin doesn't work, boot into twrp and delete the locksettings.db file in data/system. Then when you restart the pin will be gone.

Reserved
Gonna try it with locked bootloader and report back.
Edit:Yeah, booted just fine on locked.
I usually don't use custom roms, unless I made them myself.
That's exactly what I was planned to do:
Bloat-free miui with root.
You just saved me a lot of time.
P.S. If you need a second pair of hands feel free to contact me.
Wow! Thanks! Was waiting for miui 8 release but it just keeps getting postponed! Just one thing, what is the difference between installing this on boot leader locked and unlocked devices. I have stock 7.5 latest update (wifi fix) for India 32gb mi max.

32gb is a hydrogen device, you already have global.
This one is for 64-128gb.
If you want global, you can install it via fastboot. It's all available at miui com.
If you need root, then you can either use my guide, or if you are planning to play with cm based ROMs, then you will want to unlock.
@ajsmsg78, I played a little with a rom.
Things I've noticed so far:
In build.prop device is still hydrogen.
And I saw you removed video player...but there is a another app called miuivideoplayer and it's dependent on removed player. Basically when you open a video in file explorer it may result FC, and you can't choose default player unless you remove the second app as well.
Idk why,but hw decoder is broken for some video formats in Mx Player.
The "default app" setting is for external apps, not for build in file manager.
Also had one reboot on a clear phone, while I was setting permissions in a security app and 'Locale" is keep switching to China .

I can fix the build.prop but i was using the entire system from the Global rom. I removed Google videos which you can download from the Play Store. Removing MiuiVideoPlayer is what causes the force closes. On one of my flashes of a build I was working on before I must have had a bad flash because I had a few random reboots while uninstalling some apps while testing it. On this build I haven't had any. To set the locale permanently to your region, go to /cust/cn and edit the cust.prop and change the region and cust_variant to your region then reboot. Thanks for letting me know these things, I appreciate the feedback as well

Here is MIUI 8 Global ROM for the Mi Max Helium. I wanted to post a link to the rom so you guys can download it. I'll finish the thread soon. The rom is pre-rooted with SuperSU, busybox and is lightly debloated. I removed some of the preinstalled Google Apps to save space as you can simply download them from the Play Store. Included is AdAway. I'll update the rom as each new Global build is released. I recommend an unlocked bootloader and TWRP to flash this although it will also work fine with an unlocked bootloader and TWRP.

I'll be following this thread for your updates!
Thank you!

@ajsmsg78 Nice update to the thread! Enjoying your custom ROM!
this looks great - i cant wait to try it
So far so great, but I did notice a couple of odd things.
1) After a reboot my locale switches from United States back to China
2) It appears "ROOT" has disappeared from the Settings/Permissions area...?
Great ROM. Exposed framework doesn't seem to work, can install frame work and modules but nothing happens when activated. Is it a MIUI thing?

Bugs
I have been using this rom for the past 2 days.
i have lots of bugs. all are minor . im currently using honor 9i (RNE-L22)
1 - camera app get stuck.
2 - miui camera dosnt work, tilez doesnt wrk , and most off the additional setting things are not working.
3 - i had finger print gestures earlier. now the options has been reduced. it now it is showing that im having the fingerprint sensor in the front which im not having
4 - Battery backup is not as good.
5 - there is no faceunlock option which u have mentioned in the rom
6 - Double tap not working.
7 - -The Gallery Now Has A Recycling Bin That Keeps Photos Erased For Up To 30 Days.
Accidentally Erased Photos Can Be Restored with a Single Touch : these features where there in the stock rom
I have tested in honor 9i -
i guess this rom in compatable only with mate 10 lite. thats why im having lots of bugs..
And the main problem here is that.. i had a full TWRP Backup of system files and everything.. aftr installed the rom and i was trying to back to stock.. i wiped all the custom rom system and i tried to restore it was succussfull in restoring but while i rebooted it havnt changes the boot images and it comes with huwaie instead of honor. and it asks to enter the pin even after wiping everything and restoring. after i enter the pin the phone starts to restart. i had 2 twrp backups... non of them are working after installing this rom idk whats happening..
Anyway Thanks . Its the 1st rom for honor 9i..
So i dont care about the bugs and the problem im facing... now im using your ROM
if u could please check the compatabily with honor 9i and correct the issues which i have mentioned above and please provide me an updated rom
Thanks

the rom is only for free versions RNE-L21C432 L21C185-L23C605, if you have problems, convert your device to the free version dual sim
I do not present any error of what you mention, it was already tested by several before publishing it in xda, the facial unlocking does not work

Hey
is this the ROM you're talking about?
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...iles/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv9.5/
I'm on Global Stable 9.2.1.0 atm with MIUI9, is there any difference between global and china rom for me in europe?
Yes... Xiaomi.eu use China Base instead of Global Stable but with all addition it's a Global stable ROM up to date and cleaned.
Then i m in Europe and i use Xiaomi.eu since the beginning... No trouble... and upgrade can be made using system update when u are on Xiaomi.eu...
Clean and regular.

So I just download the zip on my phone,, open the MIUI Updater app and choose the zip I just downloaded - like I did when I updated MIUI8 to MIUI 9.2.1.0 Global?
So there's no need to flash the zip through TWRP, like they state in the OP on xiaomi.eu?
I wanted to install TWRP and root after installing the firmware
Edit: or do you mean, when I installed this firmware through TWRP, that future updates can be installed like I mentioned above?
I think u need Flash using TWRP until you are not on Xiaomi.eu ROM... Offical build will not recognize this zip as valid update package, i suppose !
But afetr u will be under Xiaomi.eu rom, updater will notify u when an update is available in ur branch, actually Stable China from Xiaomi.eu (based on OP Rom)
The full screen gesture control is ok. Not as responsive as it could be and sometimes too much (I've activated the home action whilst typing on the keyboard space bar).
BUT they missed to adjust something...
One handed mode with full screen gesture.
Well you can't access the OHM when using the full screen gestures. That's terrible.
All the needed to add was a simple gesture action to activate the OHM. EASY... For example : back + down = OHM.
I flashed the rom yesterday and I'm very happy.
The rom runs much more fluid than the official global stable and the screen gesture feature is great.
Works pretty good so far and the additional screen space makes the display really immersive.

Xiaomi.eu weekly has had full screen guestures for over a month now, I am running version 8.2.1, works fine.
Btw, when I get messages e.g. from Whatsapp, they show up in the notification bar - but not on the lockscreen.
I even activated that option in the app notifications.
They only show up when I enable the option that my phone wakes up if I get any messages.
How can I workaround that?

Its not a problem, AOSP notifications are only implemented in global betas and global stable roms for some reason, Im waiting for MIUI 9.5 global stable to support this feature.
But strangely, sometimes the notifications are working just fine as it seems.
Got a whatsapp message and it just showed up on the lockscreen.
It showed up like I know it from lineageos on my old LG G2

Ok sorry, let me repeat my question...
I was able to download an install Google Pay, and register my debit card in the app.
However, when I try to use the NFC (contactless payment), the reader does not "read" or "acknowledge" my phone.
I am actually considering to trade my CN version to a Global version. I am using Mi 12 Pro...

Hello, I am actually afraid if I do that. So the easiest and safest solution I can think of is to trade my CN unit to a Global unit (once it becomes available).. But also I am considering if I can make use of the NFC payment method..

I had the same issue, you need to go to "Connections & sharing" then "Default wallet" and change from Mi or Sim to HCE Wallet and then you'll be able to pay using Google Pay. Make sure under "Contactless payments" the default payment is set to Google Pay and "Always use default app". This means you won't need to open Google Pay, just tap the phone to the terminal while unlocked and it'll pay. Magic.

Hello there!
I will try to set this up and see if the terminal will be able to read my device.
However, my next struggle is on the Mi Pay app.
I also now have the Xiaomi Watch S1, and in-order to set-up the contactless payment on my watch, it needs to be configured using the Mi Pay app on my phone. But the Mi Pay app has limited (Chinese) banks only... I have attached some screenshots here. Any advise?
EDIT:
After further research, I learned that the Mi Pay for the Mi Watch S1 will only work on certain regions. So I guess I cannot use it in my country.
Thanks for all the help!

I doubt how could anybody know an on XDA any ETA for Xiaomi.eu (they don't allow to ask on their Forum and they don't announce in advance)
Nevertheless, check if they release(d) hybrid type ROM (as they do now for all devices) - hybrid type can be installed both through Fastboot and/or custom Recovery
The last provided versions of weekly have both included. So you can unzip and run the normal cmd in Fastboot or you just use it in TWRP as recovery version. Both are included. Didn't check the stable version yet.
Just checked. The stable version is only recovery. weekly is combined.
usually stable versions are recovery, weekly is hybrid (as far as i have seen so far). i dont have TWRP on my phone so i download hybrid versions, unzip the file and run the .bat file
Is there a way to install recovery, but in a way so that TWRP is not installed on the phone (only use TWRP for the installation purpose of recovery)
And what do you mean by the "weekly is hybrid" - Isn't weekly like a fastboot favlor?
[EDIT]
OK, I just read about hybrid here: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/hybrid-roms-the-end-of-recovery-fastboot-roms.67987/#post-683193
But how can I tell which ROM is 'hybrid' just by looking at the filename?
There doesn't seem to be any stable hybrid MIUI14 for the 11 Ultra yet (or am I wrong?)

stable versions are only Recovery most of the time (if not all the time). it show be written if it is recovery/fastboot/hybrid
OK...but for Recovery, is there any option I can 'tick' within TWRP in order for it not to be installed on the phone?
Because from what I understood for the 11 Ultra you need to initially boot TWRP - so is it possible to just boot and flash the Recovery without actually flashing the TWRP
May sound like weird question, but I d still like to know

OK, I m a bit confused here..
My requirements are a) MIUI14 b) Stable c) Fastboot
In that link you provided above, I can see that the one that meets those criteria is "V14.0.3.0.TKAEUXM"
But this ROM is labeled "Mi 11 Ultra EEA". What's this "EEA" - an official ROM for EU?
Based upon this, I thought that there are only ROMs for CN, Global and Europe (xiaomi.eu). And for Europe, I thought that Xiaomi didn't make an official ROM and that only xiaomi.eu make one (which literally speaking is unofficial)
Then what's the difference of this "EEA" compared to the Xiaomi.EU: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv14/
Because Xiaomi.EU only has "V14.0.6.0.TKACNXM" for the 11 Ultra (and that is a Recovery ROM)
But are those ROMs found at xiaomifirmwareupdater.com are really official Xiaomi?
My 11 Ultra device is CN version, currently running A12
So is that V14.0.3.0.TKAEUXM "EEA" really applicable?

EEA (European Economic Area) is the official ROM for Europe
Xiaomi.Eu is a custom mod for Europe which is based on China version (so it's a combination of china+europe)
Yes, you can flash EEA on CN version.
P.S. On my "Mi 11 Ultra CN version" I am using EliteRom which is based on xiaomi.eu weekly because it has even more features added

OK..
I presume that - as is the case with Global - EEA cannot lock bootloader on a CN device
Also (I guess) no safetynet passed pm EEA
I don't need more features (in fact, I m happy wirh 'less')
But I do need max stability
From my previous experience with xiaomi.eu "V14.0.6.0.TKACNXM" the one thing that I found annoying had to do with some sort of bug in the build in video app. The stock video app was unable to playback videos recorded with the buildin (stock) app for video recording. Which I found was unbelievable. VLC wouldn't play the video either (only the audio stream would playback). Was forced to install MX player, which is full of ads, in order to be able to playback videos on the device. So something went wrong there. I wonder if this issue is also present in the EEA builds (I would be surprised if it is)
I don't know if the bootloader will be locked when you install official EEA on China phone. You can try it or research.
With EliteRom I've never had problems with watching videos. About ads, I use AdGuard and it blocks even in-app ads. You can find modded premium version of the app (and all other apps) on mobilism.net (amazing forum i am using all the time for modded/cracked apps)
Do not lock your bootloader on any non original official Xiaomi region ROM variants.
The bootloader shows unlocked on all Xiaomi EU variants but acts as if it's locked.
On official Xiaomi variants, the bootloader will show and work as if it's unlocked, loss of some security measures in apps but if you lock it, you may find you'll brick it. Only lock it on the original Xiaomi region ROM for your phone.
