Proximity Sensor LED as Notification LED? - Google Pixel 5 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I know that we have the camera ring LED app that some are liking for notifications, which is great, because I've really been missing the notification LED from my 2XL. I haven't gotten it to work great yet. Seems there are still some UI improvements coming, and possibly some concerns with battery drain. I was hearing of an LED for the proximity sensor, that was bugging out for some users and that got me wondering, could this LED possibly be wrangled into being a hardware option for a notification? Is it a physical LED, or just a couple pixels on the screen? Even if it's the latter, I wonder if it could be a viable option. I definitely don't have the time or experience to dig into it, but I hadn't seen anyone mention it yet, so I just wanted to put the idea out there. It seems like it could maybe be a low power, reliable option. Kind of like when dev's unlocked the hidden LED on the Nexus 6.

Zooming light!!

I liked the feature of having a light around the the rounded button "zooming button" in my Diamond.
Was wondering, if this feature is also in Diamond 2? Maybe still withing the zooming buttons.
Its nice to have it to visually see, miss calls, sms etc..
any ideas if it is also included in Diamond 2??
What the diamond2 has NO visual indicators for missed calls/msgs at all? No Leds etc?
That would be a very big disappointment!
Just to let you know, there is a LED light on the left of the ear speaker which acts like the notification light
The Notification LED shows a:
Flashing green light when there are new SMS, MMS or e-mail messages, missed calls, or reminders.
Solid green light when the device is connected to the power adapter or a computer and the battery is fully charged.
Solid amber light when the battery is being charged.
Flashing amber light when the remaining battery level reaches below 10%.
great
sounds good!
It would be "maybe" a good idea if the LED light still white using the zooming bar. The light could be more attractive there maybe.
Anyway, good that this feature is still there
Great to hear that the TD2 has an indicator light that is much more functional than that of the Diamond. The Diamond's indicator light may be neat, but it's not as useful.
how come

Oh it is neat, don't get me wrong... But I think I'd prefer something with different colors over rotation versus flashing. Time for a TD2.
LED on HTC Diamond 2
Now the HTC Diamond 2 is out, can anybody confirm that the phone has the LED indicator as in Diamond 1??

back light notifaction issue

The backlight notification is very dim compared to the vibrant. Does anyone else have.this issue or is there a way to turn of the brightness?
Is the brightness of the phone too dim? Or just the pulldown notification bar?
I think he is talking about the LEDs for the bottom buttons. When you have BLN enabled they turn on with any notification you get. I have seen them be a lot brighter on the Vibrant than on my Captivate.
Have you considered trying NoLED from the Market? Works great!
I have seen some who have allowed the lights to be brighter by removing some of the coating on the inside but this requires disassembly which is not difficult but may be more than you want to attempt. Personally I love the fact that they are dim...the brighter lights attract your eye when in a low light environment.

[Q] Notifications and lit up screen

Hi folks!
I have a maybe silly question ... but I found out that some apps with their notification light up the screen for a few seconds, and some apps only vibrate and do not let the screen light up. Also Whatsapp is sometimes lighting up the screen ... sometimes it doesn't! How is this controlled, and how can I control this? I know about the "silence" option, but I would only to let it vibrate and no screen light up...
Thanks!
Nobody?
Having the same issue, I think it might be a software problem. Lots of people are complaining of unreliable notifications since the 5.0.1 update. In the official android wear forum there is a threat about this. Cheers

Notification light brightness

Hello,
I'm new to Huawei and one thing I noticed about my P10 is the very faint notification light. From a little distance it is very hard to notice.
I've tried installing Lights Manager, but changing the brightness there doesn't seem to do anything.
Does anyone have a way of increasing the brightness of the notification light on the P10?
Thx
I just got the phone and Yes my notification LED is SO DIM AND USELESS. I tried to use light manager and seems like the brightness is already the highest. Will pop by the shop in the weekend to see if it's my set problem or all sets are like that.

Mine is faint too. Or at least I find it that way coming from Sony Xperia phones where the notification LED was very bright and you can see it even on sunlight... Sony also used different colors for different notifications - here is green only unfortunately... Hope Huawei fix this in some future updates....

Hi all,
actually it has colors too. On Whatsapp, if you choose white or blue the notification light will change to that color. Problem is that there is no way to configure light colors for the rest of notifications, unless you install some notification light management app which I had once in a previous phone.
About the intensity, yes, it's a bit faint. But, personally I prefer it against Samsungs that I owned previously in which notification lights were so bright that at nights it illuminated my room when sleeping (and if it blinked, even worse!).
Leandro
useless tiny notification on LED. This is factory dumb design.
I actually like the brightness. Coming from a N5 where the LED was brightening up the whole room when someone sent you a message at night, the p10s subtle notification is much better.

Notification Light

The Realme 6 pro does not have a dedicated notification light but maybe we can use the light that flashes when we switch from the back camera to the front camera from the camera app. Any way this can be achieved ?
Yes.. but it would be pointless due to the fact that it is a LCD screen which will cause the whole screen to light up everytime you receive a notification and thus draining your battery a lot faster.. same reason this phone doesn't have an Ambient display..
I agree. But atleast those who want to use they feature they could.
Man, this IS an idea!
You know i never noticed that nice ring of light around selfie cam?
I fastly tried with "automate" app but I didn't find a way...
Any update on this?
