A6 Fake AMOLED touch problem - Samsung Galaxy A6 Questions & Answers

Hey, guys! I shattered my Galaxy A600FN's screen and bought a cheap fake LCD one from AliExpress about a year ago. It's thicker and has uglier colors than the original but it worked fine when I installed it.
However, after I downloaded an OTA update for Android 10, my touch screen stopped working.
I want to install a custom ROM to fix it but my KG state is Prenormal and it says "Only Official Released Binaries Are Allowed To Be Flashed" when I try to install TWRP. The OEM unlock toggle is visible and I have enabled it but RMM/KG state is prenormal and has been for MONTHS!
I have tried waiting 7 days, I have waited for months even, it doesn't go away. I tried different methods and tools but nothing has worked so far...
What can I do? Any help is appreciated!
P.S. I can control the phone with an USB OTG mouse
P.S.2. I'm 100% sure it's a software issue because I had another A6 with the same fake screen and I fixed it with a custom ROM but it didn't have the 'Prenormal' state.

Bump. Any help is appreciated!

Nexus 6 (rooted, stock rom) won't turn on anymore. Please help

Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing a pretty tough issue mith my beloved (and, so far, flawless) Nexus 6. It had root and a stock rom on it, 6.0.1 (MMB29V). I had unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone right after buying it more than a year ago and I've been flashing new factory images a couple times (specifically when 6.0.0 and 6.0.1 were released). I usually do everything via Wugfresh's NRT, not because I can't use adb and fastboot, just because it works fine and I'm lazy.
Yesterday, while I was working, I used "Tiny Scanner Pro" to scan a document (legit copy bought on the store, as any other premium app in my phone) and it got stuck for a while, then a popup about Google Play Services came up. I dismissed it and another appeared, and it kept going like that. I was at a client's and I was in a hurry, so I took the pic with my tablet and forced the phone off. Later I turned it on, it seemed to boot regularly, but when the SIM unlock screen appeared and I entered the (right!) PIN, it said that no SIM was found, then the home screen appeared but after a while the screen went black and it started rebooting. Recovery (TWRP) and fastboot were working, so I decided to take it home and re-flash the stock rom: it had been a while since the last time anyway, a new version was out and the OTA update notification was getting annoying. I connected to my PC in recovery mode and transfered my pics and data via adb while I downloaded the latest stock rom (6.0.1 MOB30D). Then I user NRT to flash it (selecting "Soft-bricked/Bootloop" as current status). It appeared to work fine as it went through the usual copying and unpacking. Then, when the phone was supposed to reboot, it just blacked out. I waited a long time, in fact I went out and came back a few hours later, and it was still that way. Now it doesn't power up, no matter how long or hard I press any combination of the three buttons, adb and fastboot do not detect it in any way, of course, and it doesn't seem to charge either (i.e. I left it plugged to its original charger overnight and it still feels dead cold). By the way, the phone warranty shouldn't have expired, but I'm afraid it wouldn't cover this since it should still have the custom recovery and unlocked bootloader in its comatose body.
I've taken a look at similar threads but none of them describes the very same situation. Is there something, anything I can try to do before giving up? I hope somebody can help me. I thank you all very much in advance.

Bricked!. When the phone is still under warranty send it for repair. Do not use arguments.
Just: phone will not switch on and does not charge.
Because this is a Nexus device, the custom recovery shouldn't affect your warranty. It is however, a moot point. The device is totally dead, and a call to Motorola is in order.
lupusyon, I had a discussion with Google about an 18-month-old Nexus 5 on which the radio had died - the "no SIM found" error that seems very popular. They asked me what I'd done to try to fix it. I told them that I'd tried several different radios, half a dozen different ROMs (not just Google stock), in short I'd messed around with it over a long period (it had been rooted with custom recovery pretty much since I bought it).
Response? No quibbles. "Here's a refurbished N5. Just send the broken one back in the enclosed pre-addressed pre-paid bag."
Go for it...

I bought it on Amazon Italy Marketplace, I'm not sure if they're supposed to handle the thing or if I should contact Motorola. I'll just check with them first. Thank you everybody for the kind advice, I'll let you know how this turns out. :good:
I confirm what dahawthorne wrote above: it took them about a month but Motorola repaired my Nexus under warranty, no questions asked. It seems they replaced the Mainboard PCB.
Thanks everybody!

Software update bug!

Has anyone here experienced samsung galaxy note 8 screen gets this greening/yellowish discoloration whenever phone heats up after the latest software update?? Also the battery drains too fast unlike before.
Got the same issue!
I just got the exact same issue.
I was just watching youtube video then open an app then suddenly my screen turn yellowish and black turned faded. Also got horizontal lines if brightness is set to around 20%-70%. This happens right from boot up of the phone where Samsung logo appears.
Also I noticed that my phone gets warmer.
Mine still not back to normal.
I have read that this also happened to Note9 users.
Any update for a possible solution?
Thank you

It cames after an update?
Did you try Factory reset?
Yes i already did,
I have never noticed that and I have all the latest updates installed on my N950N. Have you tried wiping the Cache Partition?
Hi.
I have a Samsung Note 8 with a case like @Domdominic in the previous update, after updating the new version on April 12 with CSC DTC3, the screen error is gone but my fingerprints did not work after updating. I don't know if this is a computer error or a software issue and I still don't know how to fix it.

Have you tried manually reinstalling the OS back onto your device using a computer and Odin? That is always the last resort if your device is not functioning properly. The worst case scenario is that your device is experiencing a component failure and it needs to be replaced.

You could always delete all your fingerprints and reset them. Could be that your old fingerprint settings got corrupted. As I said before reinstalling the OS is a last resort.

Xiaomi ITO test has partially damaged the touch function

Hello,
I accidentally started the Xiaomi ITO test a few weeks ago and touched the screen during calibration.
Since then, the left side of the screen no longer works. I have repeated the ITO test several times, but the calibration is not overwritten.
Therefore, I can currently only use my device with the power cable connected, because then the full function is back.
I have already flashed back to the China ROM and tested several other ROMs. Unfortunately without success. Even in TWRP the problem exists. I thought I could correct the calibration error by disconnecting the battery from the device. Unfortunately this did not help either.
I need tips and help from experienced developers. Thanks a lot!

Self Restart

I have got my Asus ROG Phone II for about 8 months and I have recently got some problems with the software. The phone suddenly turns off on it's own, when I am using it and stucks at the restarting process with Asus Logo and the loading bar on the lower side but doesn't open, even if I wait for a full whole hour. I have to press volume down + power off button to make it work again. I wanted to ask if any of you guys have got the same problem, or any clues how to solve it?
Well I had rooted my phone after a month of it's use and unrooted it. For about 2 Months before, my charging port stopped working and Asus Service Center fixed it, and I guess they somehow flashed my Phone, as I not don't have to download and install the new firmware. It was good in a way but I feel it is getting some lag during the use of certain apps and the problem which I mentioned earlier. I would be thankful and grateful for your replies.

Don't know what the problem is, but you've posted this in the wrong section!
I think I am in a similar situation. My phone's problem is that it kind of crash while booting up (stange lines shows on the screen like some glitch) , it doesnt boot up normally and it loops 3 to 4 times until it's left on a black screen. I am not sure of its status at this point for it is not responsive even to force restart (Vol down + Power) but it does work only once in a couple of minutes and proceeds to bootloop and back again to the black screen. I haven't rooted it but i did flash it from CN to WW which was successful and was using it perfectly for 4 months up until this situation. I dont know what exactly is the problem. Can anyone help me?
Same with me bro... Mines already bricked because of flashing it to the original version

Motog7 plus broken after trying to install lineage

Hello good afternoon greetings from Mexico, a pleasure to greet you from here, months ago I tried to install lineage in a new motog7 plus since the factory rom is extremely restrictive and slow; in addition to the major security flaws.
at first all fluent install twrp and activate developer permissions, likewise unlock the bootloader; When flashing the phone, there was no problem, even I installed the gapps, the problem started when restarting it simply no longer turned on, it only lit the phone's led in red, when performing some procedures I managed to start it but it does not pass the image.
I have left it charging for hours and only the lightning logo comes out (which implies that it is charging); and in very small letters it says "any key to shutdown".
when I manage to turn on it does not go beyond the android logo.
These are the specifications:
Motog7 Plus Model: XT1965-T
Black
Dual SIM
I have tried to connect it to the pc to flash it and return it to its original state but it does not detect it.
Neither does it enter the recovery mode, the keys simply do not seem to work to enter the modes that it has natively.
Currently I have another phone the same since in those months I bought two similar ones; which I have not touched at all so as not to ruin it.
Any help to revive it would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much colleagues.
