LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

What is WFD?
I have been holding off on upgrading from my 7 Pro in anticipation of a proper LineageOS release. If this proves stable, I might just drop the cash for the upgrade!
Thanks for the hard work!

Oh snap! LuK got an 8T! It's on! Much love and thank you! Will be flashing this weekend.

Forgot to mention I downloaded from AFH which was messed up at first but dev has fixed it now. Don't worry about it my reply only made things more confusing

Ok thx and which file is the right one ? And for install we have to unzip the package and put in the adb folder and flash it as it mentioned in the instructions?

Has anyone been able to get root working? Booting a manually patched boot.img (using canary magisk) gives me a Qualcomm Crash Dump Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x0000000b do_exit. I need any way to run root long enough to restore my apps.
As for what has been tested and worked: WiFi, 5G, calls on 5G.

how to root ?

Can't flash magisk boot After flashing, enter qualcomm crashdump mode

Is there AOD available on this version of lineage? Any missing features from stock OOS other than the obvious theme related stuff? Also does it support dual sim?

Any telegram group for this rom?

Did you try making any calls? No hope of getting in call audio to work even over Bluetooth?
Read somewhere that bitgapps would work.
It was the SD card that was the problem with all of the force closes with Google play etc. Seems like Pie isn't ready for external storage.. I'm having issues with the camera not saving the images.. Anyone else?
And again we have fun with GAPPS? Try official opengapps ones which exist now and do that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75118518&postcount=2 I have ZERO problems. Ah and btw. Android 9 always has the clock on the left by default ^^

It means that selinux is indeed permissive.
Okay!
Can you explain this with a few simple words?
It means one security barrier only allowing specific things for the system to do. This is inactive right now because no one updates the whitelist yet. Google would have been your BEST friend btw: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security-Enhanced_Linux
And again we have fun with GAPPS? Try official opengapps ones which exist now and do that: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75118518&postcount=2 I have ZERO problems.

lineage-16.0-20180910_034714-UNOFFICIAL-gts28velte.zip
But LTE is not working, despite correct APN / settings. Version 15.1 worked. Looks like device does not permit my Greek Mobile Provider.
Thank you.
It works good. Really impressed at that early stage. Sadly deep sleep is not working at least for my device...

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Instructions :
Download the latest build and gapps
Boot to recovery
Flash the latest build
Boot to recovery again
Flash gapps
Reboot
