Samsung Galaxy A50S Fingerprint Issue - Samsung Galaxy A50s Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi Buddy,
If someone is facing fingerprint issue in Samsung A50s after the One UI 2 update.
Just switch on the "Always On Display" and the issue will be resolved and your fingerprints will run smoothly as before.
Note:- You won't need to delete your old fingerprints and register them again.

Reduced fingerprint performance on 6.0.1 CPF1?

Not sure if this is an issue that only I suffer, but after the update to CPF1, my fingerprint sensor performance has become unusable.
Adding a fingerprint that normally takes less than 20 seconds now takes at least a minute, with a prompt to "Lift your finger off the home key" appearing and injecting a delay of several seconds before one is actually allowed to scan another part of your fingerprint.
Fingerprint unlock has also gone off a hill, fingerprints are now unrecognized unless the orientation is the same as the orientation when the scan occurred, and a multi-second delay is now present when a mis-scan occurs.
I noticed in the OTA update inf file, there was a line
Code:
apply_patch("/system/priv-app/FingerprintService2/oat/arm64/FingerprintService2.odex", "-", 2de08396342e1d053f9875c7e19b945385db7857, 418560, d5875cdae656c286edd962e0220ecd31f8b692bb, package_extract_file("patch/system/privapp/FingerprintService2/oat/arm64/FingerprintService2.odex.p"));
indicating that the fingerprint service had been updated, and I was wondering if anybody else is suffering from the same issues.
My fingerprint scanner is working perfectly fine, nice and fast and still haven't gotten an error.
Hello !
I'm not alone !! I thought my fingerprint sensor was broken...
I downgraded on 3DPDP (France firmware, before the newest from June 22th) and do a wipe data to see if it works again.
I have a S6 edge but Samsung has updated the service on all of their phones obviously

Facing issue with intelligent scan, both face and iris sensor fails to unlock

I have been facing failure in unlocking the device with intelligent scanner both face and iris unlock not functioning properly.1 out of 5 tries works and if it works then it's really really slow, I felt my previous phone one plus did a great job with face unlock.I have removed and re-added face and iris data like almost 5th time now in different lighting condition.
Please help me the solution if you had the same issue. Should I contact Samsung for replacement or just move on with the issue.

Fingerprint Sensor Acting on its own

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my Galaxy Note 9. I just recently updated to the latest firmware which is N960FXXS5DTE2 Security
Patch 1 May 2020 and noticed that when my phone is locked, the fingerprint sensor is acting on its own. Then I get a message saying there have been 5 or more attempts to unlock the device. I tried a factory reset, still the same and also tried the sensor test which gave a PASS to all the tests.
Is it a software glitch? Anyone has this problem also?
IDK if this will help but try turning off Battery Optimization for the Samsung Biometric app. (Forgot exact app name, its something like that). I was having an issue with mine and doing this fixed it but can't guarantee it will work for you.
already disabled most of the optimizations but the fingerprint scanner acts on its own constantly. You have another suggestion?

Question New Pixel owner. unlock questions

Hello Folks,
Coming from a S20 im finding the fingerprint scanner quite infuriating. has anyone fund a way to improve this?
Oh and sometimes it goes straight to the pin, not even an option to unlock. why?
Maybe (I doubt it) google will improve the fingerprint with software updates overtime. For now it's just totally unreliable. If you want to live with pixels you have to adapt I use smartlock (smartwatch) and thanks to that I don't need to use fingerprint at all (well almost, 2-3 times a day it asks for it).
I come from Samsung Galaxy Flip4 (S21 ultra before), I have Pixel 7 for 3 days and I have no problem with fingerprint.
Have you tried re-registering your fingers?
Its improved having the fingerprint registered twice. but for some reason you can only register 4 of them

Question OnePlus 10 Pro Charging and Screen Display Issue (always on display)

Hello XDA Community,
I'm seeking assistance with a peculiar problem I've been encountering with my OnePlus 10 Pro.
The issue manifests as a persistent black clock display whenever the phone is locked. This display seems to prevent the screen from turning off as it should when the device is not in use. This not only affects the phone's battery life but also my overall user experience.
Additionally, I've observed a concerning correlation between this black clock screen and the device's charging speed. When the black clock screen is active, my OnePlus 10 Pro doesn't seem to charge at the speed I've come to expect from this device. This is particularly problematic as I rely heavily on the phone's acclaimed quick charging feature.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or can offer any advice? I would greatly appreciate any insights or potential solutions.
This screen is probably "ambient display" but on screen option I have disabled this in Wallpapers & style and always-on display is disabled.
Thank you in advance for your help.
I have had this with the fingerprint button showing after the screen is off, I got around it by turning it on then rebooting and retesting then changing the feature to off and then rebooting then testing again...
The problem occured after a firmware update, so if you've changed region or performed an update then that may be why.
Definitely something that shouldn't be happening.
I don't have "wise charging" turned on or wireless charging, or any kind of AOD feature, cycling and rebooting between each change should help, least it did for me.
I google this case and this can be ambient display by google but I dont have any option to disable it

Again, just cycle AOD to on then reboot.. then turn it off then reboot.
Then retest.
It simply shouldn't be on at all, so did you update recently?
