You can flash cn rom directly form update option local update

I thought of doing so. But after reading it I realized that a lot of people got stuck after 25%. And I'm really afraid that it will get stuck for me too. Which version should be installed? Old? New?Should the bootloader be locked?

Thank you very much friend. And does it matter if I install an old or a new version? I am currently in the latest global version ..

Please help me. Which version to install? The latest? Or older..The bootloader should be unlocked? Because my bootloader is currently locked. My device is Red Magic 3S. I am currently on the global version. The latest version 2.12. Is it possible to root without Break the Wi-Fi? If anything can give a more detailed explanation I would really be happy. Many thanks to everyone who will answer.

You can easy change rom, download official global rom and update via 3 dots in updater, if there is no choose option just click miui 10 in updater 5-10 times

When i try that it comes up with "ROM's network carrier type is different from that in the recovery package" It looks like i need to unlock the bootloader then install through recovery? I have seen some people saying google pay doesnt work if your phone is unlocked?
Cheers.

Ok, I believe you have global version (not chinese global rom) right? You can try flash global rom via fastboot (mi flash tool), I believe it will flash without unlocking bootloader, if not unlock bootloader, and flash global rom with lock (mi foash tool) so gpay will work because bootloader will be locked again, BUT IF YOU HAVE CHINESE DEVICE WITH GLOBAL ROM THAN DON'T! LOCK BOOTLOADER AGAIN, OR IT WILL BE BRICKED.

P.s. if bootloader is locked with global rom it means it's not chinese device so you are safe
I've the same problem like you Can you be more specific? Please. Thank you

Mi 9 - This MIUI version can´t be installed on this device

Hi all,
i hope someone has an idea how to fix my phone.
The Story:
I bought the 12GB/256Gb Mi 9 Transparent Edition (just sold in China) - it was unlocked by the seller and flashed with official EEA Rom. I bound it to my Mi Account and installed TWRP and then formatted the Phone. I tried xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 rom, but was not happy. So i thought i get the official Global version and flashed it with miFlash Tool. Unfortunately (And i hate myself for it, as i flashed loads of Xioami Phones before), i forgot to change to Clean all - instead it was set to Clean All and Lock - So now the Bootloader is locked again.
And now i own a 600€ pile of junk.
I tried to Unlock again - but mi_unlock told me that "Current Account is not bound to this Device" - and i should go to the Developers Option to bind them. - Well, i would do so if i would not stuck in Recovery (This MIUI version can´t be installed on this device) or in Fastboot Mode.
Is there any chance (beside EDL method, which i do not have the courage to do) to somehow fix this?
I really appreciate all help!
Thanks
If you still have warranty where you bought, take it to them and they'll fix it for you. If not, your only hope left is tespoint EDL.
Did you try to flash latest Chinese Stable rom? Probably you have the message because you cannot flash the Global version as it was Chinese only.

Thanks, i tried with official tool, but to flash via it, Bootloader has to be unlocked - and as written in my 1st post, i locked it by accident. I contacted the shop where i bought it, they said it could take up to 3 month (Back to China...) -
Cannot believe that there is no other way tough.
beside EDL- u can connect with Mi Flash Tool -- only can install China ROm i had sam prob with Mix 2s i did same and i tried many many times with mi flash tool finnaly its done
Did you try to push the rom using fastboot command? you can try this maybe:
https://in.c.mi.com/thread-334-1-1.html
But I still don't understand why, if you try to flash the Stable version it says "you are allowed to flash the newest develop version...".

How to get back to stock rom like when i bought it

Hello all !
I've bought a MI9T pro on Rakuten 2 weeks ago, i unlocked the bootloader successfully, then i installed some mods like V4A etc, then i installed the 72hz mod that bricked my phone, after 2 hours, i
I managed to flash a older stock rom that i found on the web, but after this it was writed "Redmi" and not "Mi" on the bootup screen like it was before, then i installed LineageOS but i saw that there was many translation issues with french language so i installed MiUi 11 with TWRP but now the FP Sensor doesn't work.
My question is, is it possible to return to the latest version on MiUi that is available on MI9T Pro so i can do all the updates on the phone directly like when i bought it ? Can you tell me when i can find the rom ? And how can i get back "Mi" rather than "Redmi" on the bootup screen ?
I still want to get root, and bootloader unlocked, i just want to get an official stock rom like before.
Thanks guys for helping me, and excuse-me for my bad english, i from france
you need to download the correct fastboot ROM for your device and flash it with MiFlash. You will have either the Global or the EEA variant.
EEA ROM: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.3.4.0....KEUXM_20190923.0000.00_9.0_eea_65ad59b1cb.tgz
Global ROM: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V10.3.2.0....XM_20190911.0000.00_9.0_global_a11e2330ec.tgz
MiFlash: https://www.xiaomiflash.com/downloads/MiFlash20170425.zip
Do you know how can i know if i need to flash the global or the eea version?
After this, i will je able to do the miui updates normally like before? And it will be back a mi9t pro and not a k20 pro like now ? Because i had to flash something from india to flash the lineageOS.
Sorry for those questions, thanks again!
created new thread, since its different problem

Follow this guide. If you read it on a mobile browser, you will need to view it in desktop mode.
It has links for the Mi Flash Tool and the fastboot ROMs on the page.

Question Mi 11 Ultra China rom to EUROM/Global queries

Hi guys! just a couple of questions. I have been reading some of the Q and A on mi 11 ultra in the forums and have some questions of my own for clearer info for me.
I will be unlocking my bootloader today so here's my questions.
1. If I'm flashing a eurom (flashable rom from xiaomi website), do i need to follow the guides in flashing a twrp? or just the usual mi flash tool and eurom for flashing?
2. If I'm flashing a global rom, (i watched in a video that for flashing global rom) do i still need to edit the .bat file and delete the 8 lines pertaining to rollback?
3. currently i have a 12.0.9 chinarom, i haven't updated it yet to 12.5.3 (there is an update available), because i will be unlocking my bootloader. Do i need to update it first before unlocking? or just proceed to unlocked?, then change the rom to my preferred one either eurom or global?
thank you.

Thanks for the reply. You leave the bootloader unlocked, or relocked it in EU version? Are you able to use bank and payment apps without security issues?
And, what is the main differences of the Chinese and EU system?
Thanks
The bootloader remains unlocked, you cannot lock it via dev options. However the ROM works as if it is locked by its design. All bank apps work, may be you might need to delete the empty twrp folder but most don't require it.
It is based on Chinese stock but with so much added. So you get updates quicker on a much better ROM. I'm not going to list the vast number of differences but if you want to read them all, pop over to the Xiaomi EU forum's 11 Ultra's download page for all the info.
EU ROM ram management sucks, nothing I open and I leave without killing it in the background , then I return to it from recent, nothing work, always fresh open. Tried battery management, tried ram management, tried many things, same result

No, you only need to format your storage when you are going from one line to another, such as China to EEA or Xiaomi.eu, but all you need to do for an update is a dirty flash via TWRP or if you are running stock rom, all updates should be relatively seamless, requiring only a simple click to initiate the process and is handled within the OS.

there is latest update on eurom when i checked for updates. is it ok if i installed the downloaded updates directly on phone?
or do i need to download it in browser on my pc, then transfer it to phones drive and install the updates thru twrp?

You can do it either way. Personally, I find it quicker on my PC to download the rom and then to copy it to my internal storage, but you can download via OTA if you want as well.

thanks
so i downloaded it ony my mi11u, faster download time.
when i click the "check md5 & install" on "updater"
*best to remove the lock's first, else a chinese welcome note on twrp will prompt to input the password, need to change the language first.
it restarts and bootups on twrp. click install and need to search the downloaded "usually in internal storage, with other files and folders, on the bottom since it's a zip file"
install and reboot "system reboot"
done.

Question Can I update my phone with the full ROM?

Hi forum,
I'm sorry for my silly question, but I didn't find any specific answer during my research.
I'm here with my Xiaomi11T Pro and EEA Stable v14.0.5.0
I saw that came out the new version 14.0.8.0 but not as OTA, just as full ROM.
There is a safe way to update it as an OTA without reinstalling everything?
My device has the bootloader lock and no recovery installed.
It's a really normal device with no mod.
Thank you in advance.

Two versions of stock roms:
Fastboot: for those who have the bootloader unlocked (useful for changing version).
Recovery: For updates with a locked bootloader.
Indeed there is a risk of bootloop by forcing the update and sometimes it is better to wait.
ok at recovery mode that can go .
Thank you everyone for your replies, I guess I will wait the ETA
