Change ADMIN on Huawei P40 Pro - Huawei P40 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi everyone,
I had typed in my old number into my new Huawei P40 Pro as ADMIN. How can I change or remove the ADMIN as I wanted to type in my new mobile number into this new phone as ADMIN instead.
Thank you.

Maybe in Settings > Users & accounts > Users .

Windows Mobile Device Password

Fellow Techie's & Kaiser Fans,
Apologies if this has been asked before. I have browsed through the forum pages but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I'm trying to setup Blackberry connect on a HTC TyTN 2 and when I tap the blackbrry icon under the system tab I keep getting the message 'You must disable your windows mobile device password before setting up blackberry'.
Any ideas?
I cannot seem to find the option for disabling the password and there isn't a secuirty icon within the settings or programs menus.
Any help is grately appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon.
any ideas ? i got the same problem

Shortcut to Settings -> Personal -> Phone

Hi. I am looking for creating a shortcut (.lnk) to Settings -> Personal tab --> Phone --> Band tab without the need for clicking multiple times.
I know this is possible however I am not sure which program to call in the Windows directory and pass which parameters.
I guess its my way of not using Bandswitch on the phone since it isn't disabling my 3G. I do have a old version (1.2.3) of the software and don't want to pay for the latest and greatest one. The goal is to be on EDGE (for primarily savings battery) most of the time unless I really need 3G for say streaming of stuff. For my regular web access and email, EDGE should suffice.
Any one, please? I am sure the senior members know a few tricks!
Thanks a ton.
P.S. I asked this question in the Kaiser ROM development forum where someone suggested I should post it here.
Try Schaps Advanced Configuration Tool which will enable you to install a 10 button Comm Manager with a button to toggle 3G.
with notepad you write the following :
Settings>Personal>Phone>Band = 23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,20,4
then save it as band.lnk in your device

No NL-Alert (Crisis Cell Broadcast) on my Huawei P10

In the Netherlands the Crisis Cell Broadcast is called NL-Alert.
According to all information I can find, Huawei cell phones are standard set to receive these messages.
But I don't receive the periodic test message.
According to instructions I found, I should go to Messages > Options > Cell Broadcasts > Menu > Settings > Extreme threats, to stop receiving these broadscasts. I hoped to find a possibilty there to activate them but I can't find anything corresponding to this path.
What do I have to do on my P10 (with Android 7.0) to receive Crisis Cell Broadcasts?

(I'm Dutch and tried to make it as clear as possible in English, excuse me for language errors)

Hallo Richard,
In English (as I found this useful)
I have a P9, but maybe the NL-Alert settings are in the same location as the P9:
Settings> Sound> Click "Mobile Broadcasts" (bottom)> In the next screen under CMAS settings
Click to collapse
Same issue here and I can't find the setting described either on the messaging settings or the sound settings.. It looks like it was not included in my android version... My phone is huawei P9 lite 2017 (refresh edition with the round fingerprint reader)

This is for the P10 on Android 9.01

Choose actiono apps can perform this action
There is only an OK button below that.. Any thoughts???

Chinese characters

Just bought the new Honor 9 lite Indian version online and had all set up including my google id. Google just replied to my mail that a new device is configured. The device name is listed in chinese characters except the word Honor. Any idea why? But in the device the device name is in English only. Puzzled !!
