Stuck on Login Loop on Xperia 10 - Sony Xperia 10 Questions & Answers

Hi I just bought a secondhand xperia 10 and I made a factory reset upon arrival in my mail box. But now I am stuck in a login loop with my google account. No matter what I do it asks for my google account (mail and password) I have done it over 20 times now with NO typo mistakes. I have tried login via phone and the Google Authenticator app, but it just go back to ask for my google account login credentials.
Has anyone tried this as well??? how do I get through???
(I can't enter the service menu as well!!) (have tried several tutorials, but with no luck!)

[Q] Can't add Samsung Account after disabling app

I disabled the Samsung Account app yesterday and then realized today that the Theme Store wasn't updating, nor could I download new themes. So I re-enabled it but I still am unable to download themes or even add a Samsung account from the Accounts page in Settings. I also found this thread documenting the same problem.
Any solutions, other than a Factory Reset?
Googling your problem leads me to believe that a factory reset might be the only solution. AoN

I have exactly the same problem. Now there is Dark Theme in Theme Store and I can't download it! :crying:
I've enabled all disabled app, but still can't add or activate Samsung account. Do you think they make it to be so for a reason?
Please someone help! Factory reset is the last option here.

There's no easy solution that I've found. The simplest is to just do a Factory Reset, which really wasn't nearly as painful with Lollipop as I expected. I just backed up my Pictures, DCIM, and Downloads folder to my computer, backed up my texts with SMS Backup & Restore, and factory reset, using the new app device restore function when you set it up again.
Guys, i have the same issue. Did several full wipes/factory reset but still i'm unable to login with samsung account, it does nothing when i try to add the account.
- after i do a full factory reset i don't even get the Samsung account popup at first boot. After i put in the google account and try adding the samsung account manually it just does nothing and goes back to the previous screen. Everything related to samsung account is not functional.
I've had the phone for just a few days, bought as new, and i can't use this! I think i'll send it back for warranty, as it's really annoying!
Tried deleting my old samsung account/recreating it, but same issue.

Had the same problem, more specifically: reactivation lock was on (but greyed out), Samsung account was missing in the active accounts list, but trying to add it did nothing, just returned to the active accounts list screen. Also unable to sign-in to Gear apps, etc.
I solved it this way, no factory resed needed (Note 4, latest stock FW):
Went to backup & reset
Choose "factory data reset"
Tapped "reset device"
Entered backup password (don't know if it makes any difference, but I used the password from my Samsung account)
Then it asked me to login to Samsung account, which I did.
Cancelled the "reset wizard"
voila!
I didn't perform factory reset, but the Samsung account is now back in active acounts list and i'm able to use GearApps and other stuff that depends on it.
Also able to control reactivation lock.
Good luck!
The factory reset menu does indeed allow you to add your Samsung Account back in! Good catch...
MarsRover that finally worked for me too. Thanks!
Btw, the problem started after I changed the email address for my Samsung account on their website. Within moments I received a ghost notice on my phone saying 'this account is no longer valid, please log in somethingsomething..'

FRP Security forgot Email Address

I just bought a Moto Droid Turbo, I had to test the device so I signed in into play store with a random ID (which I created during the process when we open play store in mobile).
After all the testing I decided to Hard reset the mobile. After resetting, it is asking me to sign in from the ID which was previously synced on this device.
The problem is that I have forgot the email address, though I remember the password.
I tried searching on internet on how to bypass this, couple of videos on youtube tells to hold "world" button on the screen where is ask for email address, but that is not working on my mobile.
Is there any way I can see the email address which I used with this mobile.
Also I didn't link my phone number neither added any alternate ID.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Recreate Google account

Hi guys.
A few days ago I needed to change my main account Google password. After that, I lost connection from my device to Google, even YouTube Vance lost its connection.
The only solution I've found was uninstalling and reinstalling Microg.
Now I have YouTube Vance working, but my cellphone not. I have a second account on my device.
My question is: how can I add a second account on my device?
When I try it via Google accounts on my device, I go through all process (add email, add password, EULA) then I get a communication error with Google servers.
That metod works on my P40 pro, probably will works on your phone too.
The procedure starts on min. 6:38.

Question How to remove my Mi account from the mobile phone?

Hi,
I accidentally removed through web browser my Xiaomi Account without logging out from my phone.
Now when I go to Settings > Mi Account the phone asks for the password of the account that I deleted (see attached image)
If I try to login with my old Mi account information on my phone, I get a message saying that the account no longer exists and I have to create a new one. I created a brand new account but I cannot bind it to the phone.
I contacted Xiaomi service by email but I got no solution from it.
Could a phone factory reset wipe the old Mi account information and let me configure the phone again from scratch?
Please can you help me to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Luigi

Sometimes you have to wait for the Xiaomi servers to be up to date.
Have you tried: forgot password?
Unfortunately old account deletion has already taken effect, I cannot do anything to recover or change old account information.

Check here https://us.i.mi.com/
Try to reset the phone.
I've already tried to login on https://us.i.mi.com/ with my old account credential but I got the message "This account has been deleted. Create a new one". I created a new account with the same phone number but actually the phone is bounded to the deleted account and it seems there is no way on the phone to bind it to the new one.
I'm really frustrated about this awful account management by Xiaomi.

On this site you must connect with the new one since you have deleted the old one.
can you login with the new one?
If ok wait to reset the phone, otherwise you will find yourself in the same situation.
I followed your suggestions and I successfully set up the new account on the phone.
Really thank you very much for your help.
Luigi
How did you get it to work?
I'm in the same bind and apparently there's a few days left before the account is removed from their server yet they won't reinstate it. I may be running against the clock here.
I did create a new account but there is no way to add the phone to it and they warned against resetting the phone as it would lock it permanently!
I was doing more research and I remembered that I did delete my phone from the MI account through the website before I deleted the account itself. I don't know if that makes a difference.

Connect to the phone with your new account which must correspond with the phone number provided.https://us.i.mi.com/
If your new account is recent wait.
On condition that there are no others.
Thanks NOSS8, Just to be clear the phone still shows the old account connected to it and every time I try to enter the password it gives a "Server Error". So the question is do I need to reset the phone to get the old account off?

logout and try with the new account
Once more thank you for your help. BTW, I love your avatar it expresses exactly how I feel dealing with Xiaomi :-D
One thing I just realized that may be totally different from the experience of others, there's a notification that the account session has expired and I need to enter the password again. Unfortunately it's trying to access the old account that has been deleted. Since I can't log back in I can't logout either, to remove the old account.
At this point it seems I can keep using it this way and hope it doesn't suddenly decide the phone is stolen and lock me out or I can just reset and whatever happens... Worst case I'll switch to an iPhone
Shame though, it's a really nice phone and I like MIUI.

[Solved] Old Xiaomi account locking bootloader

I've bought a redmi 9 phone off a friend to play with custom ROMs, I've followed the steps in the official guide but after 99% I get an error code in Chinese"unlock return:20038 msg:该手机已被账号 {partial account number} 通过查找手机锁定,无法解锁". which I translated "The phone has been locked by the account **** by searching the phone and cannot be unlocked"
Stuff I've tried so far:
- signed out of his account and logged in with mine (still shows phone locked by his account)
- unlinked the device from his account.
- contacted customer service.......
- signed in again with his account and tried to unlock (wait 168 h -_-)
- transfer his account ownership to me by changing recovery options (he has to wait 30 days to delete his private info)
- [solution] disable find my device on his account.
I'm gonna meet him again, does anyone know how to properly remove that lock so that my account is the only master account, as I may have to unlock and relock the bootloader multiple times and this is obviously is a major inconvenience.
Thanks in advance (no thanks to xiaomi)
I asked him to log into his account https://us.i.mi.com/mobile/find and then choose the phone and turn off find my device he also deleted the device from his account, didn't even have to meet (you'd think that signing out would automatically turn it off, but xiaomi for some kind of reason decided not to, now that's what I call a major privacy and security issue)
