Make sure you have any TWRP Recovery with aroma installer support installed
Download the ROM zip and push it to internal or external storage
Enter TWRP Recovery
Backup your current ROM in case something goes wrong
Do a Full Wipe (system, dalvik-cache, data, cache)

Reboot to System

Q: How to root it?
A: Grab Magisk from here.
Q: Splash screen gets more and more greenish when I try to boot. Is that normal?
A: Of course not. This means you're not on Marshmallow bootloader & Modem. Flash any MM stock ROM first before you flash this ROM.
Q: ROM booted but there is no gallery, clock etc. Why did you removed it?
A: I didn't, YOU debloated them in aroma installer. Reflash the ROM again without wiping data and this time don't debloat them.
Q: There is no CSC folder in /system. How to add CSC features?
A: This ROM is featured with OMC, a new multi CSC solution. Locate to /system/omc and add your features to customcsc.xml.
Q: My GPS does not find my location. Any fix?
A: Download GPS Test app from Google play, run it, go outside and wait 10 minutes.
Q: Do I have to clean flash when there is a new update?
A: No, flash it over a previous version is ok.
Q: I enabled screen recorder in aroma but I can't find it in settings. How to run screen recorder?
A: You can find it's settings in settings > advanced features > screen recorder. To start recording, pull down quick settings, search for Screen Capture tile, extend it and select screen recorder.
Q: XYZ app does not work/force closes and I want create a log to help you. How can I create a logcat?
A: I'm glad you'd like to help. Follow this xda tutorial or download any logcat app from Google Play.
Q: Why still no Oreo or Pie port?
A: Samsung won't update any MSM8916 device to Oreo/Pie anymore.
Q: Why I can't enable 4G in second SIM?
A: Galaxy MSM8916 modems don't support dual LTE.
Q: I've enabled navigation bar but I don't like it. How can I remove it?
A: Reflash the ROM select everything you did before except nav bar without wiping data.
Q: Do I have to flash Galaxy A8 2018 mods, recoveries etc. when I use this ROM?
A: NO! This ROM will not transform your Galaxy to an A8. Only flash mods, recoveries etc. meant for your device variant.

Stuck on "Checking for updates...". Tried resets, wipe cache, nothing.
EDIT: Figured out, that the phone randomly reboots when SIM card inserted.

This usually happen if you're connected to mobile data or wifi without internet access... or if you're impatient (please check attached screen).
Try again without SIM inserted and don't connect to wifi.

Strange I wiped multiple times before public release and never experienced any random reboots. Maybe you did tick diagnostic data in setup wizard...

Corsicanu ,you are one of the best developer for a5 2015 and I have been one of your rom user for more than 1 year . So it really hard to believe that you have left the development of a5 2015 and closed the Hades Rom thread . Plz I can understand your feelings but plz come back , this has been a lesson for all a5 2015 users .

Probably, if you didn't wiped data before/after flashing SEP 8.5 and rebooted with LineageOS stuff.

counted multiple times and causes soft reboots. This source brought me to Samsung Galaxy Friends in /system/priv-app/MateAgent. According to your logcat, some framework classes crashed before Android Runtime shutted dowm and rebooted your phone.
Well try to reinstall the ROM again and follow the installation instructions carefully and always do a full wipe if you're coming from an other ROM. AND: Delete MateAgent from /system/priv-app if you still experience soft reboots

I tested this ROM, also from LOS (RR).
At first boot showed me some message on russian (cyrilic) language upon boot and 2 options (i think it was something about SIM card support) I choosed bottom option, phone restarted into recovery, do something quick and again loooong reboot.
After that I was able to use ROM.

(After few hours of exploring I try to unistall Gapps, ROM crashed, i give up and back to LOS.
If you ever decide to kill all samsung and google, even on test ROM, please notify me)

Did full wipe (data/system/cache/dalvik), formated data with TWRP 3.0.2.1. Installed ROM, and again it started to crash. Now I was coming from clean stock 6.0.1.
I deleted MateAgent from flashable .zip, full wipe, flashed, and now using this ROM 2 days straight stable. Love it. Excellent work!

Hello, first of all thank you for this amazing rom. Flashed it yesterday an I had some issues with it. Rom itself works flawlessly but for some reason i can't charge my phone. Only way to charge it is to turn it off and charge. I did everything that you said that needs to be done when flashing, wiped everything and deleted MateAgent. Flashed it many times again and again and no results. Yesterday managed to charge it when i deleted cache and flashed it again but it charged to 100% and then just stopped and I can't charge it since then. Tried flashing quasar kernel 2.0 but that gave me random reboots. Soo if you have any ideas or suggestions I would gladly try it. Thanks!

When new version of ROM comes out, then you can use this trick to install apps instantly.
* Firstly, Backup all Apks to SD card using the following app
Take a look at "App / SMS / Contact - Backup & Restore"

9. My Second Sim not working, shows emergency calls only. How to fix it?
A: If Only SIM1 Slot works ( eg. Vodafone ) and SIM2 Slot ( eg. Jio ) shows Emergency calls,
then issue is STK, STK2 app
Make sure you checked STK, STK2 apps in Aroma while installing the ROM
10. My Samsung Sans Fonts disappeared after updating them in Galaxy Store? How to fix it?
A: ROM has custom Samsung Sans.apk with 1060 fonts,
So don't update this app in Galaxy store

Doesn't work for me; I get stuck in a boot loop after flashing the zip.
EDIT: Alright, after a bit of trial and error with options in Aroma I've got it to boot properly.
You need SuperSU root (the Magisk one is the one that put me in a boot loop), and do not install BootLoader or install will hang

Shame on samsung, we have been using Oreo for more than 5 6 months now unofficially (at august 2018) and no sight of official update.

Download and copy the ROM to your device external SDcard (preferred)
Wipe everything (SYSTEM,DATA,CACHE,DALVIK and preferably Internal storage all together)
Flash the ROM.ZIP
Be careful, setup wizard will ask you to CANCEL/REBOOT for SIM installation, PRESS REBOOT and let the phone do its thing, if you did not install an OMC rom before you must do this, otherwise your sim wont work well. its necessary to have many countries properly supported, if you skiped this you will be asked agian but it wont do the right thing and will just be stuck[/B][/COLOR]

Good idea to read this F.A.Q While the rom is installing
NOTES :
For Facebook/whatsapp calling, if the audio is quite you should set the call volume to 1 step below max
For The full hapticfeebdback experience, settings>sounds>enable vibration feedback
- Download VibeOnKey and googlekeyboard for the rest of the haptics
SamsungFaceunlock is removed from the ROM, use google smartlock instead
- If you still want to use it for some reason, you have the chance at setup wizard to register your face
For the most optimal feature set, Pick CSC instead of OMC
- In some countries OMC can lose feature sets
If faceunlock is not working be sure to disable Figerprints+Fingerprint gesture
If you pick OMC be sure to select the RIGHT slection for simcard question at setup wizard
- Failure in doing that will keep the the popup and no simcard will work
- You can Pick CSC to avoid this or read the thread instructions
The DolbySpeaker Mod is experimental and EXTREAMLY LOUD so be careful with it
- If you want normal sound boosting, just pick the standalone soundbooster instead

F.A.Q
Q: How to root it?
A: Grab Magisk from here.
Q: Splash screen gets more and more greenish when I try to boot. Is that normal?
A: Of course not. This means you're not on Marshmallow bootloader & Modem. Flash any MM stock ROM first before you flash this ROM.
Q: ROM booted but there is no gallery, clock etc. Why did you removed it?
A: I didn't, YOU debloated them in aroma installer. Reflash the ROM again without wiping data and this time don't debloat them.
Q: There is no CSC folder in /system. How to add CSC features?
A: This ROM is featured with OMC, a new multi CSC solution. Locate to /system/omc and add your features to customcsc.xml.
Q: My GPS does not find my location. Any fix?
A: Download GPS Test app from Google play, run it, go outside and wait 10 minutes.
Q: Do I have to clean flash when there is a new update?
A: No, flash it over a previous version is ok.
Q: XYZ app does not work/force closes and I want create a log to help you. How can I create a logcat?
A: I'm glad you'd like to help. Follow this xda tutorial or download any logcat app from Google Play.
Q: Why still no Oreo or Pie port?
A: Samsung won't update any MSM8916 device to Oreo/Pie anymore.
Q: Why I can't enable 4G in second SIM?
A: Galaxy MSM8916 modems don't support dual LTE.
Q: Do I have to flash Galaxy J2 2018 mods, recoveries etc. when I use this ROM?
A: NO! This ROM will not transform your Galaxy to an J2. Only flash mods, recoveries etc. meant for your device variant.

Pre-Nougat cam libs can not share its video buffers
across different processes, this causes video recording issue with Stock cam. This commit+related flags enabled is how they used to fix it in AOSPs, but since this isn't AOSPs and AOSP libs doesn't works on SE, only way to fix is to use cam libs from another msm8916 phone that got updated HAL1 (7.1.1) and same exact sensor (that's how we managed to fix it in J55 7.1.1 port, A55 have been a little tricky and @corsicanu needed to play around with libs, while there's no trace of a phone with 7.1.1 and same A35 sensors)

Just compare the ROM features at OP with that one from SEP 8.5 (A8) ROM and you'll see the main differences. I just can say, Lite has a much better performance than A8 ROM but A8 ROM have much more features than Lite.

Unfortunately not supported (yet?)

Seems like there's no VoLTE and no VoWIFI. I can't find'em anywhere in quick settings nor in regular settings. They do show up for me in A8 port (sm a3fu).

Seems like CSC related. Check in setttings > about device > phone info if this ROM uses the correct CSC for you provider.

I finally installed this ROM and it's amazing! Great improvement compared to the stock one. One problem that I'm having is that I can't adjust vibration intensity for notifications/messages. No matter what I set the slider too, it seems like it's the lowest setting, barely noticeable vibration. Adjusting vibration for calls works fine. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hm, it seems restarting the phone helped. I will see if this happens again. Thank you again for this ROM!

Installed on A500W, using this twrp, everything i tested so far works, havent tested messaging yet but calling is fine. Camera haven't tested yet. Great to see that this phone now has split screen capabilities!

Everything works as expected. camera app crashes randomly though. Gps works after using gps test app and it takes about a minute after booting up to find cell towers but other than that this feels as smooth, if not smoother than stock and battery life is decent too. Might replace the faulty home button and get a new battery to switch from my a51 to this as my daily driver!

Ive debated weather to release or keep this port for a while, but figured it would be a good thing for the community, and maybe my last. S9 framework isnt the most stable in terms of long-term use , so a major thing to be said is expect a reboot once atleast every 24~48 hours , some are totally safe and wouldnt encounter one, some will. compared to PrometheusLite this one packs much more performance and fluidity. and ofcourse all the software flagship features that are possible to port (No AR3D emoji or bixby Voice as those require 64bit)
RULES OF POSTING : READ everything before commenting, And especially the instlal steps, the rom has been tested throughly for a long time, so if you have an critical issue like not booting or no sim, you missed the instructions, posts that are irrelevant to this project will be ignored(Constructive criticism is welcomed). If you do face a new bug however, dont just say "hey bug here" provide more information, and a LOGCAT, bug reports without logcats will most likely be ignored.

Download and copy the ROM to your device external SDcard (preferred)
Wipe everything (SYSTEM,DATA,CACHE,DALVIK and preferably Internal storage all together)
Flash the ROM.ZIP
VERY IMPORTANT
When the phone reboots and you see boot animation, hold volume down + home + power then volume down to restart the phone
This is needed to have deodexed Oreo roms work (this is required after clean flashing the rom only) if not done, your rom will lag
[*]Be careful, setup wizard will ask you to CANCEL/REBOOT for SIM installation, PRESS REBOOT and let the phone do its thing, if you did not install an OMC rom before you must do this, otherwise your sim wont work well. its necescery to have many countries properly supported, if you skiped this you will be asked agian but it wont do the right thing and will just be stuck

F.A.Q
Good idea to read this F.A.Q While the rom is installing
Q : BixbyVision has weird stretch
A : Update the app in GalaxyApps
Q : I dont have root help plez
A : Install magisk app if its gone
Q : Phone took alot of time to boot, and is very laggy
A : pay attention to install steps and reboot
Q : There is SIM popup that keeps coming to ask me for restart
A : you DID NOT follow the instructions, Reinstall the rom and pay attention
Q : in the first SIM question in setup wizard, language is not english, what does it say
A : The RIGHT button is what you need to press, it will factory reset the phone (not touching your internal) and setup your /EFS with an OMC file that is linked to your simcard, so the rom will auto detect your CSC just like official samsung phones
Q : I dont see any EDGE panels after installing
A : Reboot the phone
Q : How is battery Life ?
A : With some tests and some cycles, it will be better than stock due to optimzations
Q : What to do after the rom is setup ?
A : Go to samsung apps, let the phone update everthing
Q : My phone does NOT boot help pls
A : Ensure you have LATEST AF bootloader and modem installed, did all the wipes, and did your house chores,
Notes
Those issues are basicly unfixable until we get official oreo build from samsung
- Because we are limited when it comes to what we can use (libs drivers etc)
If you have no Root, manually install MAGISK APK if you picked magisk
For the most optimal feature set, Pick CSC instead of OMC
- In some countries OMC can lose feature sets
If faceunlock is not working be sure to disable Figerprints+Fingerprint gesture
EdgeLighting needs to be enabled for all apps manually
If you pick OMC be sure to select the RIGHT slection for simcard question at setup wizard
- Failure in doing that will keep the the popup and no simcard will work
- You can Pick CSC to avoid this or read the thread instructions
The DolbySpeaker Mod is experimental and EXTREAMLY LOUD so be careful with it
- If you want normal sound boosting, just pick the standalone soundbooster instead

This is a very good rom amazing! Good work
But i have a issue i dont know if it can be fixed but the screen is automatically dimming when auto brightness is turned off. This is very anoying anyone know how to fix this. I tried factory reset and playing in the settings but its not fixed. I had also on the stock rom the same issue. Pleas help me :crying

In screenshot you have internet speed in status bar, can be enabled in settings, or can be enabled with Xposed installer?

This rom is very good but mobile vibrations not working

Amazing rom! I wish the crashes were less frequent tho, I got 2 of them 30 minutes apart from each other. Can't wait for a fix!

I'm pretty sure the dev wrote in the first post that this bug is impossible to fix, so don't hope for a fix. Prometheus Lite 2.0 will be based on A8 which doesnt have S9 infinitys but still has other flagship features

1) need the native blure background at the edge panel
2) need to fix the gametools problem

The samsung stock 8.1 rom is very fast with helioskernel.

for fixes you can try stock firmware files by replacing them ,ps bluetooth replace bluetooth files from your stock fw to system...hope you can fix your bugs in rom.

Would a port be possible for the j7 prime?
