Porting Kali Nethunter Kernel

I'm planning on getting this device (Redmi note 9 (3gb + 64bg)) soon. Does anyone know if the source code has been released yet?
I am looking to start with porting the Kali Nethunter kernel features to this device, followed by adding as many features as possible to it to allow for custom ROM support (Firstly LineageOS)
I mostly have experience in web technologies so this will be a first for me. If anyone has a 2 pence they want to throw in or some resources it would be welcome. Also happy for anyone to work with me as I will be keeping it open source the whole time.
So I've got a few questions if anyone can help answer them;
Do you guys think it would be better to start with a stock kernel or a Nethunter kernel? My guess is Nethunter source then port the drivers
What ROM does this devices come with? AOSP or MIUI
The device I'm getting is a Redmi Note 9 (3GB+64GB)
MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, what is the code name for this devices?
About the kernel source, i heard it wasn't released yet. There is Redmi 10X kernel on Github but i don't know it is 4G or 5G devices. Redmi Note 9 are Redmi 10X 4G. The code name is merlin if i recall correct.
This device come with MIUI 11, and can be update to MIUI 12.
Apparently the one I'm getting doesn't support 4/5G...

So i would recommend u to buy the 4-128GB version cuz the 3-64GB is lagging for some reason
No kernel source/code for this device yet(Hopefully they will release the A11 kernel source)....they released the kernel source for Redmi 10x 5G/pro only which has Bomb code name ....the code name for Redmi note 9 is merlin(this device called in china Redmi 10x 4G) and it comes with Miui rom not aosp

Question Poco F5 Pro/Redmi K60 (codename: mondrian) kernel sources

Interestingly, the device runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box, but the kernel sources are apparently based on Android 12.
Since mondrian runs on a variant of the previous generation sm8475 soc with full GKI support, I guess they just made some minimal changes to the GKI kernels of previous sm8475 devices (which where based on Android S) to use for mondrian
as same as k50 ultra
When will Aosp roms come
So Xiaomi just released the kernel source for redmi k60 which will work for poco f5 pro?
