Hi, I have got a Moto G9 Plus and it seems to be bricked, the boot loader has not been unlocked or anything. When connecting to USB on a Windows PC I just get the device showing up as "Qualcomm HS-USB Loader 9008" The device just did this randomly possibly after a update.
I have tried getting into fastboot holding the volume down and power button for 2-3 mins but no luck. Sadly can't claim warranty as the device has been opened before.
Just wondered if anyone could provide me with this file or help me out as it would be great to get it working again. Model is XT2087-2

Well mine works as follows
Turn off device
Hold vol down and power button, this should take to recovery menu
Select recovery - it will take to a no command screen
Hit power and up once.

Download the rescue software from the official Lenovo page, it will guide you, maybe you can recover your device, use fastboot to try to put it in mode, good luck
Your phone is bootloader bricked, try blankflashing it. It is already in EDL mode since you got the qualcomm HS Usb

That's too bad. From my understanding the "Qualcomm HS-USB Loader 9008" showing up means your bootloader is corrupted. That's why you can't get into fastboot and nothing shows up on your screen. By applying a blankflash you could reflash your bootloader, but since there isn't any blankflash available yet you'll have to wait for one.

It doesn't enter fastboot because it is corrupted. You'll have to wait till someone releases a Blankflash for this devices Im afraid.

Can I use it's warranty in Motorola warranty dealers and revive the device or provide any bootloader from another same device or any other way?

I don't know of any other method than Blankflashing that could revive your phone in this state. Your warranty was voided right after you unlocked your bootloader, so I don't think they would accept fixing it. The Problem is you can't simply reflash another bootloader, because in this state (QCOM EDL) can only be recognized and flashed with Qfil which uses the primary bootloader to flash to the secondary bootloader. This process needs the blankflash which has the files to correctly flash it. Yes the Android has another bootloader that is less user friendly to boot the other bootloader and then your ROM.

Hello everyone,
I've just tried installing twrp-3.0.2-3-thea.img (md5sum: 35c37561f0c22bfe23cd01b5c388e8b5) and BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip (md5sum: 7fcb30bcbcd18b5f0b0f5848a096d4ed) on a Moto G LTE 2014 "Thea".
Unfortunately something didn't work. The device first was stuck in the boot animation, then started booting correctly a few times, but now it's completely bricked:
I've been unable to turn the phone on using either pressing power+button down for 10 secs or just pressing the power button for 2 mins while being connected to an usb charger. Obviously it won't connect to adb/fastboot/etc.
I'm really puzzled. Is it even possible to brick a device like this just by trying to root it? Any suggestions?
Alright, found the issue - it seems that for some reason or another flashing TWRP or SuperSu caused fastboot to stop working, hence the hard brick. Now It shows up as "qhsusb_bulk" - unfrotunately there's no way to fix this by myself given that the only fastboot images ( "MBM-CI") available are for Android 4.4.4.
If your bootloader is unlocked you shouldn't have any problems reflashing. You do however have to make sure you are flashing the correct recovery IMG for your phone there are a very large number of ROMS and each is device specific. Try leaving LTE out of your search criteria when searching for images to flash with, rather just Moto G 2nd gen 2014 and you will be on your way to finding the correct IMG. I found a Titan IMG that works with my XT1072 and believe you me that was after the 5th/6th time of reflashing! Another handy tip is that in order to enter into fast boot or recovery mode there's are a few things to consider, namely
The version of fastboot adb you have installed on your PC, some versions behave strangely? Don't ask me I know nothing!
Secondly and very importantly you need to have latest drivers for your make and model of phone installed on your PC.
Thirdly before you connect your phone via its USB cable to PC you must first start up fastboot if you are just using fastboot. I have mine sitting as shortcut on desktop right next to adb shortcut for convenience.
Fourth: hold power button plus vol down for about 3-5 seconds, continue to hold vol- button but let go of power button (this is an important detail that many people on the forum forget to mention) with Motorola specifically!!!! Trust me do it this way and you will almost certainly always boot into recovery/fastboot mode
5th connect your phone to your PC ( not to teach your grama how to suck eggs but don't forget to select USB debugging under dev options on your phone) hopefully you did this??? Otherwise I don't know what the work around is for that, other than factory reset and start over?!
Anyway after connect to PC in the shell terminal run the adb devices command if you are in adb or
run the fastboot devices if you are in fastboot to see if your computer can detect your device? This is a clear indication of whether or not your bootloader is unlocked and/or whether USB Debugging is selected, shouldn't be hard to work out which device is yours as only one device should then show up. There are threads on XDA about how to unlock BL. Aquire root and flash recovery images, obviously, but I couldn't begin to tell you how to do that as each scenario is so different from the next, best of luck!:good:
None of those solutions would obviously work, considering the bootloader/fastboot partition has been altered to the point the device won't boot at all, forget about Drivers or USB Debugging.
By the way, I've just got my device from motorola, after roughly two months since they took it to the repair centre. Their official response has been "We won't fix devices who had been tampered with".
Oh well. When I got it back the clerk could only congratulate me for my really nice new paperweight.

That's right. It's the same error which occurs on some MSM89xx SoCs when the bootloader/blankflash gets steamrolled. But contrary to what happens to some devices like the Galaxy SIII, there are no available bootloader image files available anywhere, and it looks like the SoC used on mot g devices does not provide any failsafe boot mode from sd.
In other words, it's a really nice paper weight until a disgruntled Lenovo employee leaks the required files somewhere. Actually, according to the Motorola tech guy I've spoken to, there's the chance that clearing the bootloader triggers an efuse making it impossible to recover from altogether, but I really hope this is not the case.

I try to unlock the bootloader via adb but i can´t because i can´t get in to the recovery, only fastboot mode. I try many ways to fix this but I don´t found anything yet.

Hold power and volume down til reboot into "bootloader" mode, plug usb-c cable to PC, then reflash later stock rom

Just power up directly to bootloader holding power + vol down, then reflash the latest official firmware for your device. As long as it is the official firmware for your device you don't need to unlock bootloader.
BUT if you brick it with an updated bootloader thats more recent that the OG firmware available for your device, sadly you have a cute paperweight until an official firmware with a more up to date bootloader is available. It happend once to me with a G4 Play have the device useless for a good 2 months until a firmware with a new bootloader was available. It sucks.

Hey msobarzoe13, I am using moto g6 and from India. When android p soak test was leaked as everyone out there, I tried it. It was good except for some network issues. So I decided to revert back to the stock firmware. I downloaded the OS and flashed it and faced the same issue. I tried several times but no luck. I was not even able to unlock the bootloader because I didn't turn on OEM unlock under settings. So I took it to the service center. The best part is by installing Beta your warranty is void. So I did it through the service center. They told Moto G6 series is very secured so flashing it with a leaked software is prevented. I don't know why. So don't take a further risk, take it to the service center.

What you mean with "OG firmware" and what if the motorola is totally hardbricked? I mean not able to go to bootloader or recovery or even fastboot because he didnt turn on android debugging oem?

If your bootloader is still locked just take it to a moto service centre, I also tried downgrading and took it to service centre they fixed it
I have also hard bricked my moto g6 while updating. There was an OTA update and i started update without noticing my battery percentage. Now i have hard bricked dead moto g6. There is no response at all. Only life in my device is that it is detected as Qualcomm HS-USB QLoader 9008 in pc.
My Moto G6 went into Hard Brick after downgrade and upgrade, does not go into download mode and does not turn on, just flashes the led.
Does anyone have a solution.

Same problem with me also. It may be detected as qualcomm hs-usb qloader 9008 while you connect in pc. If that is the problem than we need blank flash file which is not available right now. Either we have to send our device to service center for motherboard replacement or we need to wait for blank flash file which is not possible to come because these files are sensitive to motorola. another solution is if some one provide me mmcblk0.img of moto g6 than i might be able to boot it from sd card and may revive it again.

I was trying to install Arrow OS custom ROM to Motorola one power using TWRP. It got flashed, when I flashed the Gpps Rom with it, it didn't flashed and I rebooted the phone right there. Hi @dadm I could not get my SIM card detected in RR rom and tried to flash stock again. Now I am in a bootloop whatever I do. Which stock did you use to revert back? And is your SIM card detected?

Hi if you can open bootloader, flash stock rom
The easy solution is press power+volume down. Phone should boot into fastboot mode. Then flash fastboot ROM without relocking the bootloader.
The other way is taking phone to service center. They'll flash stock in edl mode.

Doesn't EDL need authorized mi account these days? It'd better to visit service center because installing EDL driver & all the fuss will be useless
May be you can find some drivers which can recognise your phone to work with ADB in fastboot and flash a new ROM. If that doesn't work, then a service center is the next best option.

Sounds like your device boots into EDL mode, likely due to a corrupted bootloader from the incompatible firmware you've flashed. If you have the EDL firehose files for your device, you can use QFIL to flash a compatible ROM, alternatively try to EDL flash the boot partition with a working boot (that may get you from EDL to a soft brick with a working bootloader and Fastboot - from there you can try try and flash a working firmware).

I unfortunately tried to install all the drivers but nothing has worked difficult to know if a fastboot is started it's a hassle when the screen is completely black even with the task manager open I don't I did not succeed finally I ended up paying someone who had me unlock my phone it cost me 29 € my phone is now unlocked which I can advise on the other hand for those who would like to install roms or root their phone is good it is to wait until no auth file is leaked

I see it's super interesting as information I did not know that we could flash only a partition with QFIL.
Unfortunately I could not find the firehose files for the phone as the phone is probably very recent.
I had to pay someone to unlock my phone with an edl account of course .
My work now

yes it was done online I unlocked it with TeamViewer thanks to an edl account
I can appreciate some help I bought a Motorola edge s pro from AliExpress with the bootloader unlocked and global rom installed and then flashed it with the current retail version rras31.q3-19-86-4 which went good until I enabled "ram boost" under system->performance followed by restarting the device but now the device won't power back on holding that button nor can I enter into fastboot/recovery modes with power+vol down shortcuts, is this device hard bricked, soft bricked with the ram boost on and bootloader unlocked?
I get the qdloader 9008 active under my ports and the led light flashing when I hold the power on a few seconds. I tested blankflash from pstar and everything completed but still no bootloader shows after I ran that process. do I need another blankflash version that matches the stock firmware on this model? anybody brick theirs turning ram boost on?
I tried this blankflash retail from lolinet blankflash_pstar_RRA31.Q3-19-50 since I can't find the latest Q3-19-86-4 retail blank flash, any input would be much appreciated. thanks

i managed to recover the fastboot using a Motorola g100 blank flash.
blankflash_nio_retca_RRTS31.Q1-84-24-3-6
You have to run blankflash when your phone is disconected with computer. Next, you must put usb cable in. It's already worked for my Motorola 20 PRO.
