Good morning guys.
Does it worth to trade my Oneplus 7 pro with new mi 10 t 8/128?
Anyone who had both devices?
Thank you

As much as I like the phone, I would say you are better off staying with the 7 pro and wait for the new Mi 11 to trade at some time later
cheers

No, I had both. sold my mi10T. now waiting for mi11 and still using my 7pro and nord

i got both devices
what you will really missing from oneplus 7 pro is on-screen fingerprint maybe i missing it because i'm left handed user.
-First miui is a little bit aggrisive for closing recent apps but you can change it from settings.
-Also dark mode is not good for forcing some apps to work with it ,you can disable it too from settings.
-Screen is better than oneplus for brightness levels and you got a notifiaction light by the way. Ofcourse OLD is much beter but there is no noticeable difference on mi 10t LCD speacialy with 144hz.
-Also you can use both of left-to-wake and double-tap-to-wake on 10t which is not available on oneplus for both to work togother.
-Best Features for me right now after 5 days of getting T10 is floating windows, it's work excellent on miui ,and you can use Music FX for some apps like poweramp which unfortunately is not supported on oneplus stock rom.

I swapped my OP7 with 10T around a month back. There's pros and cons for each, but 10T definitely has better battery life, better vibration, better screen fluidity, and overall a nice device. The biggest downside is MIUI which has some random issues and very aggressive in closing apps even with all battery optimizations shut.

Is the passage from OnePlus 6T to this phone worth?

Hello everyone. I have the possibility to pass from an OnePlus 6T to Xiaomi Mi9T Pro without giving additional money (I bought it on Amazon, but I'm still in 30 days of refund period). According to your opinion, is this passage worth?
Only things I regret of my OP6T are the lack of the wide angle camera and the presence of the notch. Thanks for your advices

If you you know how to get rid of all the spyware (by flashing EU ROM or AOSP ) then yes. absolutely.
I sold my OnePlus 7plus for this and haven't looked back.
Depends what you're after but I find this perfect for me and suits all my needs

Sorry for stupid question. I'm in italy also and I'm not sure if to buy this or no. Those roms here that are K20 PRO, are valid for 9T PRO also? They are the same phone by chance? Why the naming confusion tho'

True, but software is compatible since hardware is exactly the same. Chinese phone has less LTE bands, thats all.
ROMs for K20 pro can be installed on mi 9t pro and vice versa. thats why it says k20 pro / mi 9t pro in forum thread name
I Wouldn't recommend. OnePlus 6t is a pretty good phone on its own right.

Wow, that's surprising. I have K20 pro, and a OnePlus 7 for my wife. As far as I see the Dual speakers alone are worth the higher price.. The OnePlus 7 speakers absolutely cream my K20PRO speaker in all sense.. Not that I don't love my K20pro. But hearing the YouTube or Netflix on 7 is really awesome...
But screen is about even.

I have both the k20 pro an the OP7 Pro. If you are willing to compromise and want to cut cost the k20 pro is a good choice. The OP 7 pro did cost me about £150-200 more and the difference is visible. The 90hz screen for me takes everything. I even used a 75hz mod for the k20 pro which made a gap slimmer but I still wouldn't sell my OP over the k20 pro. Not sure about the 6T sorry, I didn't have that, but for me the SDG855 performance difference was enough to change.
I have the 6T and have been looking at the 9T for a while, only thing holding me back is OxygenOS and getting fast frequent updates with Android 10 coming ,
Mi 9T has more features in the software so am torn between the two. Would probably enjoy the cameras on the 9T better and bigger battery, notchless display.
It's a difficult one alright

Nah 9t pro is cheaper. I'm talking about european price. (about 100€)
Compared to standard oneplus 7 its better. First it's cheaper, the camera is better in my eyes and battery is also bigger. It's notchless but it depends on what you like.
First i thought about buying the OnePlus 7 pro, but it's too big for me and I don't like the curved display.
I also thought the "elevator" camera is a con, but I try it now.
Mi 9T Pro is the better OnePlus 7 pro for me. I don't care about 90hz display.
Custom rom support is very bad with Standard OP7 so for some people it's also a con.

I'm on the fence about the Mi 9T Pro and the OP 7 Pro. I think the device doesn't justify the price for the OP, I think that for that price it's missing wireless charging at least.
I just can't decide. The headphone output is kinda important, so is the screen. I'm torn about this two devices. Without screen/headphone jack which one would you choose just by build quality and overall performance?
Updates are very important too, which one has better community and dev support?

Not sure about the custom firmware support for the OP 7Pro. The factory firmware is good enough in my eyes didn't even think about flashing another firmware on it. I guess you can check the support yourself here on XDA if its important for you. The cons I found with the OP is:
- Its larger then the k20 pro and heavier as well, with small hand you would need to get use to it
- It has a curved screen which I'm also not a fan of - hard to find proper screen protection, the only one worked for me was the film
- Battery usage is a bit behind than the k20 pro even the size should be the same on paper - could be due to the 90hz screen (I tried to switch it off but didn't make much difference). Still last me a day and a half easy though.
I think on software update Oneplus would provide more frequent updates for the 7pro (I had 5-6 updates since I have the phone). I had a poco f1 before and xiaomi only gave 1 update in every month or 2 months. As the phone reached the 1 year mark the updates came less frequent...
Apart of the above I think its is snappier and a better build then the k20 pro. I bought mine sort of 2nd hand not brand new (the k20 pro was also 2nd hand) I wouldn't pay the full price for the OP 7pro.
I think which ever phone you would chose you won't be disappointed. The k20 pro is also a good device.
Most of the above is my subjective opinion, people are different and others may find things more important which aren't much for me. GL for your purchase

Thank you, I really appreciate that you took some time to answer. I can get the 6/128 version for 600 usd including warp charger, I still feel it is a lot. And I'm kinda doubtful about the build quality of the Mi 9t Pro.
Is 600 usd a good price and is the warp charger really that useful?

Switching from 5T to 9T - worth it?

I'm on a OnePlus 5T (128gb) and support runs out for this phone in the next months.
Is there anyone who switched from 5T to the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and can give an advice? Any suggestions?
Size is close, specs are close. 9T has better camera and bigger battery. Also it's possible to get it with 256GB/8GB ram.

I switched from the OP6 to the Mi 9T Pro and i'm really happy with the decision. There are two points to consider, though:
- the 9T Pro is considerably thicker
- oxygenOS is much better/faster/flexible/cleaner than MiUI.
Gesendet von meinem Mi 9T Pro mit Tapatalk
Yup it's definitely worth it. And pick the 8GB 128/256GB if it's available your region.
Also installing a custom rom will not lose its warranty. I find it amazing! If you don't like MIUI you can just install a custom rom right away

I don't think it's worth it. I came from a Galaxy Note 5 2015 and there's a lot of downsides compared to it. The screen on the k20 Pro is very thin and feels like a downgrade. The pixels are less sharp and you can see the dots quite easily. Battery life is okay, 1-2 days with heavy usage. It's quite a weighty phone, hard to hold in one hand. The miui 10 rom lacks a lot of nice features miui 11 has, but currently miui 11 for it is really buggy. (Occasionally reboots, youtube background playback glitches, camera app often stops working).
I think you'll want to go for a bigger screen with higher hz if you want to really upgrade.
I'm also on OP 5T, planning to switch to the 9T as soon as the LineageOS 17 ROM is in good shape.
At first it will feel like a downgrade, I own an OP3 previously. I'd still pick my OP3 over my K20 pro if the OP3 didn't have ridiculous bezels.

If both are running the same ROM, how can it possibly feel like a downgrade if the hardware is superior in every possible way?
From my experience, better camera and battery life, but I miss Oxygen...

There will never be a "BOTH" running OOS bug-free, it will never be the same experience. Spec-wise definitely an upgrade over my OP3, but OOS is what made me say it's a so-so experience. You'll never understand what I'm saying if you've never used your device with OOS extensively for more than 3 years.
Don't let anyone fool you with an essay, if it's between OP5T and 9T Pro there's no match lol, one is 2 years old with old chip while the other runs a 2019 flagships processor.

I understand what you are SAYING, but I will never understand how you are FEELING or why, because I will never use any OS other than LineageOS, and I have 4 devices, 2 phones and 2 tablets, the experience is pretty much the same on the software side.
I switched from 5T to mi9 t pro when it came out. Mi9t pro is obviuosly much faster with better battery life than 5T and better for gaming becuse of the chip etc but in terms of custom roms it is still pretty lacking in comparison to the 5T custom roms which work perfectly but that might have to do with the age of the 5T which has had developers working on it for a long time now. Hope it helps.

I came from a oneplus 6 to k20 pro. And I am still regretting the decision to switch. I would still happily go back to my oneplus 6 any day. And the sole reason being the software.
Oneplus software is way better than MIUI. I unlocked the bootloader and installed pixel experience. Which was fine in relative terms. Unlocking the bootloader created a few problems like breaking Google pay (India) and other UPI payment apps.
There were errors like google camera not functioning properly. The fingerprint sensor straight up sucks on most of the custom roms. Roms have somehow broken the proximity sensor for me during calls. and there are similar issues for almost everyone.
I would humbly suggest you stick with something stock. Or if you can live with MIUI then it's whole another set of arguments to be made. But considering you've used oxygen OS for around 2 years, it's likely you won't like MIUI at all.
ciao!
If you are into gaming and especially emulators then its a no brainer. When using Dolphin my 5T struggled to maintain 60fps whereas 9T has no problems whatsoever.
P.s MiUi is not as bad as some people here make it sound like, give it a try you might like it
Thank you all for your opinions!
I ordered a 9T Pro 8GB/256GB today and will see if it fits. If not, it's always possible to sell it for a good price or maybe even send it back.
I see that people have different opinions on it, that comes from their different habits.
The specs are great and i think the phone can compete with flagships - with this price definitely (buy two of these or one from OnePlus?! ). Software is a thing that can be changed by custom roms and i think i will try MIUI, Lineage, PE and the Oxygen GSI on it and see what's best for me.

Question Mi 11 Ultra vs. Oneplus 9Pro

What do people think of the two devices? I'm curious to hear if there are people who switched from OP to Mi devices or the other way around and why.
Cheers!

I had Xiaomi 4 years ago and since then I have been on oneplus 5t, 6t and 7 pro all the time and I really wanted to have a 9 pro but as I saw the price and the fact that these cameras, apart from good marketing, do not offer anything great, I was looking for an alternative and it was mi 11 ultra. I ordered from china and the 8gb / 256 version came out cheaper for me than the op 9 pro. Chinese rom, but it will easily flash a European one after the premiere.
For me, the advantages of oneplus are:
-minimally better screen
-oxygen os
and that's all
Xiaomi:
- the best (apparently) camera on the market
-innovative appearance
-second screen (I hope it will be useful)
Thanks for sharing. The Mi 11 Ultra does look quite good even if it is a bit heavier. I think OP9Pro wins on the looks, or at least the hand feel department.
The 2nd screen is cool, but I didn't find anything in the settings when I was playing around with it in the store. So I couldn't figure out the customization and the interaction of it. It does react to touch for sure, but it was kind of useless in that situation where no notifications were coming in etc.
Wrong thread . Delete my post please.

even the screen is brighter on the Mi11 ultra.
for me its a no brainer, Mi 11 ultra all the way!
OP9PRO can be compared to mi 11 pro, not ultra, and still lose
OnePlus 9 Pro's advantages:
Samsung LTPO AMOLED panel - more power efficient
Smaller, tidier and more discreet looking camera bump
Superior Ultrawide Angle lens in terms of image quality - Uses the newer and bigger 1/1.56", 1.0µm IMX766 vs Xiaomi's 1/2" 0.8µm IM586
Lighter - 197g vs 234g
Current local availability with trade-ins
Cleaner and default bloatfree OS
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra's advantages:
Brighter screen - max 1700nits
Slightly more responsive screen - up to 480hz touch sampling rate, good for gaming
Largest mains sensor on a phone since the Nokia 808 - Most reviews still pending but it's looking promising
Zoom is miles ahead in both videos and photo capture - 5x optical with a bigger sensor
Can record 1080p 60FPS on front camera and 8k on all rear sensors
Bigger battery
67w wired + 67w wireless charging that charges equally as fast due to new battery technology
Gorilla Glass Victus front as opposed to GG5 on the OnePlus
Ceramic rear back - Defintely feels and looks more premium than glass or plastic imo
IR blaster if needed
Secondary screen depending on your use cases - Notifications, clock, answer/reject incoming phone calls, personalized logos/images to show off from your gallery
WiFi 6e support - nice to have future-wise
Cheaper/identical pricing - 12GB RAM / 256GB onboard storage costs less than OnePlus' 12GB RAM / 256GB storage offering (at least from what I've seen so far)
Bottom line: I'd recommend the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra easily!
Came across your thread and wanted to share my opinion.
I bought the OnePlus 9 Pro on launch day and ended up returning it.
The North American variant of the OnePlus 9 Pro is seriously lacking compared to its variants in other markets. It doesn't come with Dual-SIM capability which was a big selling feature for me personally. The screen is nice but didn't blow me away.
Mi 11 Ultra on the other hand has 1 of the best displays in the market currently in terms of quality/resolution/brightness.
I have had the OnePlus 5T since launch and it has served me well till now. The only downside of getting the Mi 11 Ultra in North America is that we may not get full 5G support. Even the global variant doesn't have most of the 5G bands used in US/Canada.
Does anybody know if Google Pay will work with either the Chinese ROM/EU ROM? The last xiaomi phone I had was the Redmi Note 4.
I doubt it will on the Chinese but it will on the already released fastboot EU ROM. And of course, when it's released globally, it will be on the native global ROM, so you could flash that too.
Google Pay was working for me on Chinese Ron in Mi10 Ultra, so I don't think there should be an issue with Mi11 Ultra.

Great! Thanks for you reply. At the moment I have Mi 11 Pro which is different from 11T Pro.
Any user of the standard Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro or Mi 11 Ultra who have tried 12 Pro?
I usually try out many different devices each year just for fun but if 12 Pro feels very similar to 11 Pro I may skip that one.

I usually try out many different devices each year just for fun but if 12 Pro feels very similar to 11 Pro I may skip that one.

I have MI 11 and I bought 12 PRO. Except for the screen and processor (?), Mi 11 remains better than 12 Pro unfortunately,
12 PRO consumes battery faster and heats up quickly on games or GPS compared to MI11.
12 PRO I don't think it's worth the money

Sounds terrible. Mi 11 does not have impressive battery life, if 12 Pro is worse it must be really bad...
Better buy Mi 11
My Mi 11 just self-bricked due to MIUI 13. Not even shortening the testpoints was enough to save it. I just bought a Mi 12 Pro. My other option was a Pixel 6, but I hate the pixel series since my 3XL.
But for your own good, stay away from the Mi 11 series, mainly if you use the official ROMs. The self-bricking thing is really common, and well, it costed me 600$.

I have to disagree with that. I have read this many times before buying the Mi 12 Pro and was on the verge of not buying it because of that reason.
in my experience, the battery significantely lasts longer on the Mi 12 Pro.
it still could be better, but it is ok thanks to the 120w charging.
when I had about 3hrs SOT on my Mi 11 (had two devices, both had the same battery life), I have about 4hrs SOT on Mi12Pro. pretty much with the same settings, apps and usage.
but I also have to say that most of the phones I had, did not last over 4,5-5hrs SOT except of my old Mi Max 2

sadly the same happened for me. I just replaced the camera module after the autofocus was not working after it fell on the ground, about 5 days later it died. I normally used it (scrolled trough instagram) and then it hung up.
I did a reset via buttons and it never did anything after that. just gets warm when charging.
I didnt knew that this is a common thing. I now replaced the mainboard with one from a used mi11 with cracked screen. there are no solutions to fix/reflash the old board, huh?
I have a 11T Pro and also just got a 12 Pro.
The differences are minimal. Screen on 12 Pro is alot better and curved. It certainly has that galaxy feeling. The screen is more responsive and fingerprint touch helps with waking the phone up.
For everything else they are the same.
11T Pro has a bigger and better longer lasting battery. The performance of 11T pro is insane and in my opinion very on par to 12 pro.
I only choose 12 pro ( my other choice was OnePlus 10 Pro) because of the poor screen response on the 11T pro and a weak Virtual proximity sensor. If it wasn't for that I'd keep the 11T. It's the cheapest flagship phone on the market by far. Literally half the price of 12 pro

Question Worth the upgrade from the 9 Pro?

So little context. I usually hand my old phone down to my son. He currently has my old 7T while I have the 9 Pro. Is the 10 Pro worth it for me to upgrade to? Everything I read it seems to be much of the same as the 9 Pro with a better battery/cpu/gpu.
I did the $1 pre-order but on the fence if I should follow through when the actual purchase window goes live. Thanks for any input guys!
Hardware aside Android 11 isn't a pretty picture and 12 is a horror story.
If you're running on 9 or 10, stay there. 11 has issues but not near as bad as 12.
Scoped storage is a cpu cycle sucking fubar.
I have 2 Note 10+'s, one running on 9, the other 10. 9 is more functional. 10 I can work with but that's as high as these will ever go. Security is simply not an issue.
Android and its 3rd party developers will take at least 2 years to recover/fully implement Google's Apple like poor choices. In the meantime the users will suffer.
If your device/OS version is fast, stable and fulfilling its mission let it be.
You lose nothing by waiting including your hard earned money... plus no time wasted on a forced learning curve.
I'm also on the 9 Pro and decided not to do the preorder. I'd rather wait a few extra weeks and see how it goes, but I'm most likely going to end up upgrading. I'm mainly waiting to see some reviews of the Global version, evidence of real-world battery life, and whether any of the developers I followed on 7/8 series are upgrading to 10 (most skipped 9).
Yes, OOS12 has its issues - I like A12 more or less, just not how OOS botched it - but I'm slightly hopeful about OOS13, and that's going to hit 10 Pro first when it comes out. I'm not switching manufacturers anytime soon because others make it hard to root (looking at you, Samsung), and I like having current flagship hardware for gaming and such, so the only thing to do is press forward.
Have my 9 Pro for 2 days now.
Just contacted network to exchange 9 Pro to 10 Pro as I'm still in cooling off period so my 10 Pro will be with me 5th April - that was said by network advisor.
Can't wait as I always loved OnePlus phones.
I also have iPhone 13 Pro Max as my daily phone.
Yes, it's worth the upgrade coz I bought it ;-)
I upgraded to the Global 10 Pro and anticipate a fun ride on XDA!

I got my OnePlus 10 Pro (EU/Europe) today, feels like a good phone so far.
USB-A instead of USB-C in charging brick - what happened OnePlus?
Get mine today only because yesterday I couldn't be at home when courier wants to deliver.
Nice phone so far. During the weekend will see if is worth to keep it.
I decided against it. My OP9P is the 12gb/256gb model, and the downgrade to 8gb/128gb isn't worth the other perks for me. Maybe they'll offer the other model at some point? If not I guess I'll wait and see how the Ultra does later this year.

Thanks for the reply, I've ordered it and will be getting it in 2 days.
I'm using both the 9 Pro and 10 Pro.
Pretty much the same except 10 Pro lose out on the macro mode which is very handy on the 9 Pro especially since it auto switch to macro when you want to take something closer.
If anyone else is considering...... I'll tell you to hold on to your 9 Pro until something better than 10 Pro is launched.
Well it's what you want ain't it of you want to upgrade why not but the camera on OnePlus 9 pro om oos 11 is way better then the rest of them but still the OnePlus 10 pro makes nice pictures
In reality, no, it's not worth it

Yes there is no macro available in the OP10 Pro but I don't care about it because I don't use it much!
