My Mi 8 SE is randomly restarting when i am at my work where there are approximately a thousnd phones nearby me. When i am at home, i have never got the error during weeks quarantine. AOSP Pixel Exp and Evolution is gived same experience. Is it related with modem file? I am from Turkey and when i set-up rom, i have to flash the file to get mobile signal. I attached the file, if you want to look.
OR
You can give any other roms giving high battery performance.

Hello All,
Just got a nexus 6 and went ahead and installed a custom rom (Pure Nexus).
Not sure if its a ROM issue or not (Trying a different rom shortly), but my wifi is terribly slow. I put it next to my amazon fire tablet and ran a speed test multiple times.
Amazon - Avg is 15-20
Nexus is 5-7
I have read some forums that says changing the band helps or forgetting the network and readding but no luck.
Anyone else have any tips before I have to send it back for a new one?

Less than a year. ATT UVerse provided router.
No problems here, I did a 135 down and 50 up on Comcast router
Looks like something with the Rom. I put Chroma on it and now get around 20 down. I do not think its app related as I just restored all using TB.
Going to clean flash pure and try again.
It's not Pure Nexus, but something else. I'm getting 160 down, 12 up (802.11ac) on Pure Nexus. Have you updated your device's baseband to the latest?
Stock ROM, 802.11n, reaching ISP cap of 60/10 on web speed tests.

Found out it was a rogue app that caused it. Thanks for your responses. Can you point me to the latest baseband? I saw the Modem Collection thread here but the latest looks to be for the M preview back on 7/10?
Go to Google's firmware page and download the latest firmware package. Extract the files inside. I believe there will be an additional archive in the firmware package that you can extract that will contain the radio image.
I was having slow WiFi issues too. I updated the firmware on my router and switched the channel and now it flies.
That's not so easy to do when the entire 2.4GHz band is congested with connections, as it is in my area. Simply changing the channel didn't work for me, and I had to get new hardware that supported 5GHz. The gamers and video watchers in the house all appreciated it.

my problem previously was the same..i tried it with stock and aosp based roms, then i went to asked my sister to call our isp.. and the technician was able to verify the problems.. it was our internet cable.. they replaced it and it worked back to normal..
I had a similar problem, but only with the 2.4Ghz band, I live in an apartment complex and in Los Angeles so it's even worse. Luckily nobody uses the 5Ghz band so that works fine for me.
Update but found out that the issue is that my wifi slows down when my BT is on. Does not have to be connected, just have to be on...
Another Update is that I found out the combo is...
Wifi Connected + BT on (Does not have to be connected) + RetailMeNot App
I froze RTMN and now there is no slowness.
So the app is the culprit, not the combination of bluetooth and WiFi. Good thing you got it sorted.

I flash a lot of roms on my phones, and same with the Mi5.
Since nougat update of MIUI, the wifi speed drops to 30kb/s at times while other devices get 4mb/s. To test I have ran speedtest by okla at the same time, and results differ with PING and DOWNLOAD SPEED.
Though it can be fixed temporarily by toggling airplane mode on and off.
Since then I have been trying different roms like: Lineage, Mokee, AOSP Extended, MIUI Global Dev, Global Stable, MIUI China Dev, China Stable. No luck in any of them.
However i flashed the android 6 of Mokee which ran perfectly for 7 days then had the issue, while other have it from day 1 of flashing.
Took the device to service center and stupid stuff like, we cannot find log file of your phone. Please take it to other service center.
I know this is the home for talented people, who can help me. Please suggest ways to fix it.
P.S:- Also tired of TWRP Error 7.

Do you always have bad reception, or just in this rom?
First, set up the same apn you got in miui. Miui und lineage have different default apns, so it might not work out of the box.
If it is the same after that, let us know.
(ps have the same issue, but I always got horrible reception no matter if miui or los so it is hard for me to test)

only in this ROM, in MIUI no issue.
i found work around in my device, if you in network mode 4G (LTE) change it to 3G, then when normal change it back to 4G. you have to do this every time your device restart.

Okay I've seen many Mi A2 owners having many different problems since launch, I never had any problem for about a year and since this summer Wifi is super trash,
is there anything I can do ??
it stays connected but doesn't have signal, also super slow, I changed all the internet installation at home and other devices don't have such problem so it must be the phone.

I have noticed that too, for the past few months. I have a (arguably crappy, but it does the job) router in my bedroom. I used to be able to get consistent WiFI performance in the living room, which is just seperated by a single wall., and in the kitchen/bathroom, which are down the hallway, about 3 walls away. Since August or so WiFi in the living room is mediocre, at best, and in the kitchen/bathroom area is slow and often disconnects. Compared with my girlfriend's HTC 10 I also get fewer AP's when scanning at those areas. I tried different channels and settings, no luck.
Something is definitely wrong here, but I can't pinpoint exactly when it started.
have you tried to reset network settings ? not sure if stock ROM have the option but in HavocOS there is the option.
I'm facing this problem when the latest security patch updated..

Is it just me ? Or has Wi-Fi on the Xiaomi Mi A2 has really gotten slow for some months now.. My mobile data works amazing.. my wifi speeds are amazing as it works good on my laptop and speed test on both laptop and phone gives around same results.. but the actual internet performance on wifi isnt as good as it should be... tried even on different wifi of different people. Also my phone keeps getting disconnected when I'm at a certain distance.. but laptop can keep constant connection flawlessly at even greater distance.
My wifi experience on this device hasn't always been this bad. i feel this has started from a certain update.
In some cases like downloading stuff the speed is good but sometimes apps such as instagram its not as good
In overall i dont feel for the Wi-Fi to be a reliable network on my Phone.
Might there be a reason this is happening?
Mi A2 wifi module is really bad, it can do better if you are on 2.4ghz, but not so much. I am on Pixel Extended, problem remains

Well, oreo and pie firmware is good. Q firmware is mostly bad. If custom rom, try oreo wifi firmware.

Although I'm not much interested in all the ROM kernel and alll that stuff.. I've left that path long ago.. although i would love to root my phone and get the camera 2 api.
