Hello, I am trying to switch from an Orange operator rom to a Samsung XEF rom, the problem is that when I flash everything goes normally but the rom does not flash and remains in Orange rom. Yet I have no error message.

For some reason I can't get it to detect my phone after plugging it in. Odd.

Yes. Windows is supposed to automatically install the drivers when you plug in your phone.
You may also install them by installing Smart Switch for PC.

give me custom rom first, then will worry how to flash it

Is there any reason (that we know of) why flashing an AT&T device to the unlocked ROM wouldn't work this year as it has in years past?

Hello, I'm trying to switch from the Orange operator to the Samsung XEF rom ROM, the problem is that when I blink, everything goes normally, but the ROM doesn't blink and stays in the Orange rom. I need to make a mistake.
[/ CITÁT]

I have the same problem I have orx and I would like xez, dbt multicsc rom via Odin didn't help either
edit:
Problem solved, via Samkey application, S21 5G is already supported

For people who can't switch between csc in the same mult csc pack. OXM multi csc pack contains all the european generic and network branded firmware (csc) so if You are at SFR (part of OXM multi pack), and flash it with BTU (part of OXM multi pack) the SFR will stay. What you need to do is to flash it with different multi csc pack (just see what packs are available for your model), then flash it back with OXM multi pack, and it should switch to some generic csc, then if you instert your sim card it should ask you if you want to customize your phone to the inserted sim card and it will change your csc to the one you want.
EDIT. It works with other models as well, usually there is a domain language in each multi csc pack, and for flagship models it's usually DBT or BTU, for cheaper phones it's usually a langauge where the phone sells the most so for some A series models it's either ROM or XEO or XCZ

Thanks for that!
I am from Brazil and wanted to install my regional stock ROM but everytime I did it, it went back to my carrier's ROM.
What I did in this case was installing an OXM csc (the german DBT) and then trying again with my stock regional ROM (ZTO).
Removed my SIM card and didn't connect to wifi untill I was sure the stock ROM sticked to the phone.
PS: If anyone reading wants a rom from the OXM multipack and is having troubles, try using the Brazilian ZTO stock rom and then go back to yours.

That's true. ZTO is part of a multi csc pack OWO, so it will work for OXM. Good job mate

My S21 Ultra 5G from AT&T is somehow not getting updates and seems to be stuck on ATLF firmware with the December 1, 2020 security patch. Called AT&T...they blamed Samsung and sent me to Samsung. Samsung blamed AT&T and wants me to travel 50 miles away to a Ubreakifix store (official Samsung repair center). Today I called again and AT&T had me factory reset the phone with the result being the same - - no update - software is up to date.
Frija seems to be downloading the newest AUC8 firmware when I put in the model of SM-G998U with ther correct US code which I hope is the AT&T rom.
Is the firmware from Frija safe?

hi there
I have done this recently, perhaps with a slight fail on my sight, since i updated to the latest OXM pack, since i wanted to switch to DBT from DTM (german telekom) without reading this thread and your post first. So my phone didn't switch from DTM to DBT. until yesterday i had to wait for the updated security patch for OWO pack to switch. So all went fine and i switched from DTM OXM to OWO and back to OXM again.
But basically here starts my problem (if it is a problem, not sure yet):
My phone switched not to DBT, instead it went to EUX, which i guess is the generic code for complete EU countries? i am not sure, since i couldn't find the sales code or CSC for this anywhere tbh. i have two SIM prepaid SIM cards from a third party o2 contractor, so normally (i have done it on my Note 10 plus), like you mentioned, it should ask you to customize your phone and switch to DBT, but for me it simply doesn't ask or go to DBT at all. It simply keeps the EUX. Which i would not have a problem with, when i get regular updates with it like i would on DBT.
If anyone could give me a hint how to change to DBT or what i did wrong, i would appreciate the help. If EUX is fine for getting updates, i am also fine with that, if someone can confirm this. on OWO the software updater said please contact a samsung service center, since i have german SIMs in the phone, but with OXM package and CSC on EUX currently it just says "software is up to date" so it can connect to the update servers if that helps.
A short pm would be appreciated or maybe some help from an experienced user (more than me lol) via telegram as well.
Cheers
Mike

Oy, when I try to run frija, it tells me I need to have Visual c++ 2008 installed?!
EDIT: Finally found the download for it, but Frija doesn't seem to have firmware for the S21+

I was working with someone to find a way to remove Retail Mode from our S21 (SM-G991U1 XAA), and when using Odin to flash, we accidentally used the same firmware BL file for every section of the install. Now the phone is stuck in download mode, and we can't find a firmware download with replacement AP or CP files. Only a single BL .md5 file, or a set of files that don't seem to fix the problem. I found a link here on the forums to what appears to be exactly what we need, but it takes hours to download for some reason, and then fails partway through each time. Always at a different point in the download, too. Sometimes it gets to 2.5GB, other times 3.7GB, but never the whole file. That link is over in this thread:
G991U and G991U1 Firmware Links and Flashing Discussion Here
This was the link I followed:
U1 firmware
Any thoughts? Any help getting pointed in the right direction would be much appreciated. !

CSC Change

Hi everyone,
I've purchased a Korean Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950N) and rooted it with TWRP and SuperSu. Now I want to change CSC to Vietnam.
I already download 2 stock firmwares (Korean and Vietnamese).
Can you please guide me for next steps with Odin?
just go grab the S8 CSC changer and use that. All we have to do is add 1 line in one of it's scripts so that it will run on a device with 'greatlte' in the name.

It seems that this CSC Selection file did not work for me even I already updated the script file META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script with this code:
getprop("ro.product.device") == "greatlte" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "greatlte" || getprop("ro.product.name") == "greatlte" ||
When I flashed zip file I got error no digest file found
I have this problem could not find any specific answer so far. I'm from UK with an international Note 8 (N950F) unlocked and want to use it with THREE, especially from the wi-fi calling. So, downloaded THREE firmware and after extraction, I got CSC and HOME_CSC among others. First, through ODIN installed HOME_CSC after reboot could not notice any difference at all, the mobile seems the same so decided to install the CSC which obviously wipe the Note. The same, nothing different on the phone. Lastly, I installed everything (AP, BL, CP, CSC) only that way I got Wi-FI calling but also many apps from THREE ( Deezer, Three, Three likes, Ebay, Amazon Underground, Prime video, Amazon MDIP, Operator Settings) and a horrible start-up boot logo and so on. Despite I got Wi-Fi calling I got more stuff and I am not happy at all. Thinking seriously to go back to the international version I had. Does anyone know why after changing the CSC was not any difference in my Note?
Find attached two pictures, first one shows the wi-fi calling option under Contacts-Settings using THREE firmware, and the other one is from the UK international firmware where wi-fi calling option is not there.
Khoanb1, Kett_Traveler modified the S8 CSC Changer zip to work for the Note 8 but only added the USA CSC to it because that's what he needed. I've since took his zip and added the Canadian Multi-CSC (XAC) for myself and the European Multi-CSC (DBT) for you. The European Multi-CSC (DBT) contains the Vietnam CSC (XXV). Download the zip from MEGA here and install it with TWRP. When it asks you which CSC to install, choose DBT, then choose XXV in the next screen to select your Vietnam CSC. Make sure to select XXV and not keep it at the default of DBT at the 2nd menu.
I've successfully used this zip to change my CSC to the Canadian one. Note that after the CSC change, your phone will factory reset itself and wipe all your data (if I remember correctly). So make sure to backup externally first if needed. After a restart, your phone will boot up with the proper boot animation for your CSC and you'll have all your carrier-specific features. For me, changing my CSC allowed me to connect to LTE networks which was not possible before (I was limited to 4G speeds instead). Also, the Korean apps that came with the phone are preloaded onto our system partition, so you have to delete them from /system/apps or through Titanium Backup. You can also freeze them if you prefer.
Note: I haven't tested the install with the XXV CSC so test it and tell me if it works.

Hi peacey8,
Thank you very much for your effort and your thorough guidance. Your zipped file worked very well for my device and now I could have XXV CSC code in my Galaxy Note 8.
I can see some big changes:
1. boot logo is the same with Note 8 devices distributed in Vietnam
2. some apps were installed by default like these devices
3. Samsung Pay can recognise Vietnamese network providers (but I could not still use it because my device was rooted). If you have any idea about it, please let me know.
Great! I'm glad it worked. Unfortunately, Samsung Pay will not work because Knox was tripped. Android Pay still works though if you use Magisk root with Magisk Hide.
Right now there is no solution to Samsung Pay with root. In the future there could be some solution. I'm sure some creative person will come up with something eventually.

Hi peacey8,
Thank you for your explaination. I have another question:
What will happen if I flash all tar files in the Vietnamese stock firmware to my Korean Note 8?
Will I get the CSC code like devices distributed in Vietnam? And will Odin allow me to do this?

Honestly I'm not sure if it's impossible. I'll let someone more knowledgeable than me answer that question. However the Korean Note 8 and the Vietnamese Note 8 are both running on the Exynos SoC, so it might be possible to switch firmwares with a lot of hard work and many problems. For one, the devices have different storage capacities and so will have different PIT files (the file that determines which tar image file goes where and how big it should be). Another issue is the bootloader (the most basic, low-level software of the phone that talks to the hardware to start your phone up) is different for the Korean and European models, so you can't flash the Vietnamese BL file on the Korean model. It would brick the phone if you did.
So in short, no you can't flash a different firmware. But, why do you need to? What's wrong with the current solution of switching CSCs that you just did? Is there still a feature you are missing?

You are right, so dangerous to replace bootloader even I already created backup for all partitions.

Hi lluvias91,
I already sent you a private message including my fb account, let's start our converstion about this topic
do you know guys if a packed Note 8 Eng Boot for Exynos variant (SM-N950F) is available ?
tengo el inconveniente con el n950F Exynos sin interruptor de desbloqueo OEM Ayuda
I have the N950F Exynos phone and want to flash the US Mobile CSC to get Wi-Fi calling. I don't have root and am in jail with the no oem unlock issue. I was wondering if I could just flash the CSC from the complete N950U firmware using ODIN. Or can you not mix the F firmware files with the U versions?
I saw the zip file to do the same but it requires root and TWRP to flash.
Not sure I like this phone being locked down. Very frustrating not being able to just root and install a working ROM without having to wait 7 days!
Thanks
In download mode. My carrier id is blank. How do i add the id back?
Hi guys
I buy mine in Morocco N950F Dual Sim (Exact version : SM-N950FZDDMWD).
My phone are not rooted and i dont want to do it for the moment. dont want to increment the knox

It will work without loosing my garante and continue to use samsung Pay ?
Sorry for my bad english
thanks in advance

Is this the correct Firmware? (Has features that weren't originally on my Note 8)

Hey Guys,
So I've just done a factory reset with stock firmware,
but the settings menu has two new options that aren't usually on Australian devices and weren't on the Note 8 originally.
These are T roaming & Service provider (See screenshot).
I'm in Australia, specifically the device bought through Vodafone AUS - which is the stock firmware I installed (actually downloaded two copies from different websites, same issue persists on both)
Am I do something wrong or have I used the wrong Stock ROM?
Cheers!~

I could be wrong, but i believe that the OS / ROM itself is the same across the board.
What defines the difference is the CSC file. If you flash a different one you can end up with more or less features.
An example, When i had my S7 and first flashes a ROM, the BTU (UK Version of the CSC) was not available at the time.
I flashed a European version, and while it made no difference to my phone, i lost the Caller ID service that was provided in the British Country CSC file.

Changing CSC on OXM firmware

Hi there,
Is it possible to change the CSC of my note9 SM-N960F from Australia (XSA) to Singapore (XSP)? I believe both are part of the multi CSC OXM firmware but there's little information on how to go about changing the CSC.
So far I've tried the following 2 methods but unfortunately, I'm still stuck on the XSA CSC.
Method 1:
- Power off the device
- remove the sim tray.
- Go to recovery , HOLD bixby button + Volume up together , and power up
- In recovery , chose factory reset .. This will give a warning and then reset everything
- Choose power off , in the recovery and insert sim tray .. you should do this before booting up as your CSC will be configured when you will start
- Power on the phone , wait and . then chose restart to system now when asked
- wait and after reboot. CSC remains unchanged
Method 2:
*#272*IMEI# to change CSC but I'm getting the "connection problem or invalid MMI code"
any input would be greatly appreciated!
hello
you can try this solution in post 67 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...n960n-n960u-n960u1-n960w-n9600-t3833721/page7

Hi, I have tried the solution in post #67 but my CSC is still XSA. Is it possible to just download the XSP OXM firmware and flash via odin without tripping knox?
at this time i'm unable to make a working N960 CSC file with only one CSC ( noboby is able to signe CSC file ) and as combination file don't work for this device the only solution is to find a working secret code
sorry and regards
I have N960U usa unloacked, on 8.1.
I also have Thai SIM CARD not in use.
There is any way i can upgrade to Pie 9.0 without loosing call recording?
If i get THL CSC on my N960U i think call tecording will work.
Sny way to do this?
METOD TO CHANGE CSC (tested on N960FD) Install this rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/development/rom-galaxy-project-t3911947 choose csc. then you can come back to your rom, I came back because I like a lot of modifications but this rom is also nice. After this operation It should be good. it helped me. I had CSC BTU samsung and I could not change the method, I did not try with the combination rom because I did not want to play like that. I know that some roms have options to choose the csc at installation and I have used it.
I hope I helped

Question Changin rom

Hello guys, I just got the ultra, the model is the G998B/DS.
Im from Portugal, and i think i have the german variant. I have two questions.
1- How can i confirm that it is the german one? In the app Phone Info, doesnt say anything in the country part.
2- Since it is not the portuguese one, can i flash the Portuguese rom? (this rom doesnt even say galaxy s21 ultra when turning on. And say "Hallo" when turning on and se you later in german when turning off
First you can check the CSC in About phone - Software information - Service provider software version.
Yes, S21 only mentions Samsung Galaxy in the boot animation.
Mine also came with a branded ROM, but decided it's easier for me to change the CSC with Samkey, than to flash a ROM with another CSC.

Thank you for the reply
Here goes (adapt to needed CSC. Probably OPT in your case):
go to www.samkey.org and download the SamKEY software and Samsung Drivers packages
install both (duh)
go to ebay and search 'SamKEY Credits' - buy whichever you want. You only need 1 credit for a CSC change, but I bought 2 just in case I ballsed it up...
wait for the details to be delivered. The guy I used was in the US, so didn't get my login details until about 3pm UK time. They will send you a username and password to log in to SamKEY
Open SamKEY and log in using your shiny new password
enable USB debugging through the developers menu (tap build number in software 7 times)
remove all lock screen security (pin, pattern, fingerprint and face)
Remove your simcard(s) from your phone and connect the USB cable
type your desired CSC in the 'CSC' box - for the UK the unlocked and open CSC is BTU
click 'change CSC'
Your phone will reboot at the end and will boot up now carrying the new CSC. It shouldn't wipe your user data and won't invalidate warranty or KNOX.

[Guide][SM-T555] UNBRICK Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 [SM-T555] [SM-T550]

Follow this, it's very safe since you are flashing Stock Rom.
In order to get your CSC regional code you need to contact Samsung. This is really boring since you will have to deal with multiple agents from customer support.
I first contacted Samsung US via Live Chat under support... and they didn't provide any details about product Region at first. So I contacted them few times until they helped me.
YES SPAM THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN.
DONT EVEN SAY YOU ARE NOT FROM US AND DONT MENTION HARD BRICK OR ANYTHING.
So, according to them, my device is for Germanic region (I already knew this, I had some HSH Hotel bloatware).
I contacted German support via live chat and my device is from Austria.
VOILA.
Now that I know which region it is I need to check CSC Region Codes and I made a list.
I searched for them online until I matched codes on the left and Telecoms (carriers) on the right.
Austria (csc codes are on the left and Telecoms on the right):
CSC Regional Codes = Telecoms
AOM = AUSTRIA - unknown /generic probably
MOK = AUSTRIA - unknown /generic probably
TTR = Austria - magenta (former telering/t.mobile)
TRG = AUSTRIA - TELERING
MAX = AUSTRIA - t-mobile
DRE = AUSTRIA - Drei 3 (former Orange)
ONE = AUSTRIA - Orange
MOB = AUSTRIA - a1
ATO = AUSTRIA - Open Austria - directly from Samsung
So, I contacted Drei 3 and A1, I spam them a lot and eventually both agents answered my device is not on their list.
Since my device was SIM UNLOCKED I decided to flash ATO since it's Open and directly from Samsung AUSTRIA.
FIRMWARE
Caution, I didn't like 7.1.1 since I want Root.
So I flashed 5.1.1.
YES I HAD 7.1.1 BEFORE BRICK BUT I FLASHED BOTH 7.1.1 and then I flashed 5.0 for testing purpose. You can chose 1 of them and both are safe.

So now that I know which CSC Firmware I want to flash I have to download it. Yes, Firmware is same terminology for Stock ROM.
I downloaded mine from GALAXYFIRMWARE .COM
You could download older firmware if you want, I flashed both for TESTING
I had firmware 7.1.1 and that one I downloaded.
7.1.1 ATO
Then I downloaded 5.0.2 ATO
Choose which one you need.
Then Extract zip in 1 folder.
ODIN
Download unpatched
Patched Odin 3.13.1
For those looking for a modified, modded, or patched odin that is a newer build than all the fake and renamed prince comsy 3.12.3 versions floating around. I patch recent Odin versions to offer similar functionality to the princecomsy; in that...

FOR 7.1.1
Now, every file from extracted zip make sure it matches Odin box:
BL file is going into BL slot
AP file is going into AP slot
CP file is going into CP slot
CSC file is going into CSC slot
For 5.0
There will be only 1 extracted file.
It goes into AP slot
Now make sure your Tab is turned off.
If not, remove back cover and unplug battery and plug it back again.
Download mode:
Press Home + Power + Volume Down
(at the same time)
When prompted blue window, press Volume UP
Now connect it to Odin and wait 2minutes to connect.
Start flashing.
If it fail you are flashing wrong FIRMWAR. HAPPENED TO ME FEW TIMES.
PIT FILE
USE This if ABOVE FAILE.
I did not test this.
Okay for some reason you are really in bad position and you really want to flash PIT.
Well you can extract Pit from 7.1.1 CSC.
Copy CSC file to Desktop and rename it to .zip extension:
It will look something like this:
CSC_ATO_T555ATO1CRH1_CL14058996_QB19181858_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5.zip
Click to collapse
Now extract it and look for Pit extension file.
Its something like:
GT510LTE_EUR_OPEN.pit
Click to collapse
NOW make sure in ODIN Re-Partition is CHECKED.
Now that you have it and you are flashing with PIT.
IN ODIN THERE IS PIT OPTION CLICK ON IT.
IN PIT SLOT PUT PIT.
IN OTHER SLOTS PUT OTHER FILES FROM EXTRACTED ZIP.
Btw if you know how to root this device Android 5 or 6.
Let me know.
