Huawei safety net fix emui 11 with fully working GMS w/notifications (magisk manager) - Huawei P40 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Good morning all.
I have a setup fully working with GMS, EMUI 11, notifications for ALL apps, GPS working and without GSF freeze.
Since there still are no bootloader code to get i was wondering if i can use magisk module with unrooted phone to install safetynet fix?
Will that work with no unlocked bootloader?
This is for google pay purposes.
2 years ago i had Mate 20 pro. And suddenly there where bootloadercodes to get for a small fee in this forum for USD 6 and then i had the perfect setup for my mate 20 with root and google pay.
I am still convinced that if bootloader codes becomes available again thru some thrid party offer (funky huawei og global unlocking solutions) google pay will work 100% with magisk module and safety net fix as i hides root access and phone operates normally.
I really love huawei phones and EMUI has really grown on me. I had samsung note 10 plus in a short period and i am never going back to one ui again. EVER.
How does magisk module work with unrooted phone?
PS! i am in contact with global unlocking solutions once a week to check if bootloader codes is available in whatsapp.
Hope all of ya is staying safe and well. #covid19
Have a nice day.
Regards from norway.

As far as I know we would need to wait for unlocked bootloader unless someone can say otherwise

Google Pay contactless doesn't work on Chinese Huawei P20 Pro

I have a P20 Pro bought from China, as I had problems using my S8+ with China sims, but Google Pay contactless doesnt seem to work. I can add my cards fine but when I try to set up contactless payments I get the message "Additional features could not be set up. Please contact your bank". I have contacted my bank and they ensured me everything is fine on their end. Everything was working fine on my S8+ so I don't believe it's my bank but rather the phone firmware. Anyone come across this?
If it's the firmware, is there a way to bring it to EU firmware but unroot it (lock the bootloader?) after I'm done? I'm quite sure Google Pay won't work if my phone is rooted and my bank apps definitely won't either.
Use the Huwei phone software to restore the phone.
You should do this first with a 2nd hand phone anyways in case previous owner modified it with tracking software etc.

Unable to activate contactless payment for Google pay?

Got a Canadian version P20 Pro, but when trying to activate the google pay pay in stores, got the error "This phone can't be used to pay in stores. This may be because it is rooted or altered to some other way."
Anyone saw the same issue? I didn't boot it even not unlock the bootlocker. Or is it due to I activated private space?
Its rooted?
If you are, you need to install Magisk. My device was rooted and has the same problem. Magisk sometimes works, I think on certain versions. So I finally gave up and relocked my bootloader and unrooted.
I need my GPay
No, it's not rooted. Contacted huawei technical support, they said could be a firmware issue and I have asked for a replacement phone. I will see how the new phone works.

Is it possible to get Google Pay(Tez) working with an unlocked bootloader?

I recently unlocked my bootloader for Magisk plus some tweaks I wanted to do.
Everything was fine untill I realized that I cannot get Google Pay (Tez) to work on my phone.
My phone passes safetynet check and also CTS check.
Registered my device for play protect and now it says Certified under the play store settings. Somehow Google pay still refuses to work.
Any solutions?

OEM BootLoader Unlock Question

I am new to unlocking the Pixel devices. I previously always modified my Nexus 6 and earlier phones. I have a Pixel 2 XL. It dual purposes as a work phone, so I never did anything to it. Eventually, the USB port quit working other than charging so I could never unlock it. I now have the Pixel 4a 5g and want to unlock it incase it's too late down the road. When I go an check unlock the standard message of WARNING: Device protection features will not work, I did some googling, but came up short on a definitive answer of what this all entails.
My company uses applications for security on our email through Microsoft, so would unlocking break my ability to use work apps?
Thank you.
No, it's not a problem. The warning is just letting you know that the phone can be modified/rooted. Whether you choose to do so or not is up to you. Some apps will refuse to run on a rooted phone (but they don't care about bootloader unlocking, typically) like banking and payment apps but this can usually be worked around using magisk hide when rooted. I require root to run things like advanced charge controller and energized protection.

p30 pro phone not updating - possibly a demo phone?

Hi - please go gently with me, first time posting and not very techy at all!
My husband was given a P30 Pro due to doing some work with Huawei, which he passed onto me. I've been using it for 2 years, and noticed the updates weren't happening, and google pay stopped working. Google pay said my phone was rooted or similar, which it isn't (that I know of). It had worked for 6 mths or so.
Called Huawei a few times and got vague answers.
Finally this week someone on Huawei support checked out my serial number and said that as my phone was listed as promotional or demo, it wasn't under warrranty and software updates wouldn;t be pushed to it.
So what do I do now?? I have a phone that is missing important security checks etc but if I root it as the support guy hinted, I guess I would still ahve the issues with google pay and other banking apps?
As I say, do explain this to me as if you're dealing with your nan!
Thanks
