Had anyone sucess with flashing magisk?
I tried with nstalling patched boot image and patched full image but in both cases I soft bricked the device and needed to install stock firmware with odin again (this worked ine through)

yep, no luck with patched magisk either - was stuck on samsung knox screen

Because you need to also have disabled AVB. Try this in the AP slot in Odin.

Hello everyone, has anyone gotten the last patch update from March ? ? ? (G991BXXS2AUBB)
It is on Samobile, on phone info but I don't have it in OTA, to have to download it and install it manually ......
Edit: On Phone Info the March update in BB has disappeared to make way for the last AUB8 in February. Wonder if it has not been removed due to problems reassembling.

It also appeared during the day and tonight it disappeared, as if Samsung had removed it from the servers.
Anywhere to download the latest firmware for my country, I tried Frija but it's bugged out and once downloaded deletes itself from my PC and can't find anywhere else to download it from
I've rooted my s21 991B with magisk v22 and seems ok. Did not install twrp just magisk. Got boot img from stock tar it and patch in magisk then flash in odin. Root access etc only downside is my galaxy watch not syncing... had similar prob on s20 but someone found a workaround but that does not work on s21 unless I needed any other files when rooting. Coz if using twrp you have to flash vbmeta_disabled_R.tar not sure if I need this if not using twrp
You guys should do the discussion about root and flashing magisk/twrp in another thread.

If your phone is branded you most likely can't.
It has to be factory unlocked.

Thanks. I have since decided to directly root the phone using Magisk without having TWRP on the phone.
What I did was to download the latest stock rom, then let the Magisk manager have the file that starts with "APxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" and let it generate a patched file.
Then I flashed this patched AP file, together with the other untouched parts of the stock rom like BL, CSC, etc on the phone.
It works!

As of OOS 9.5.10 you can boot twrp by fastboot, then sideload twrp into both slots and finally flash magisk which patches the boot.img itself. Thus no need for patched boot.img anymore.

Patched boot.img is a silly way of rooting... If someone uses the wrong boot.img for their version it will fail to boot. Plus, booting TWRP and flashing the magisk zip is faster and more reliable

The only difference between the global and the EU versions are supposed to be the LTE bands.

I get still offered OTAs by the system. However I prefer to use Oxygen Updater app from Play Store to download it and flash directly in TWRP.

Oh cool. So like "dirty flashing". Will magisk also get killed in the proccess? I'm not sure how A/B partitions work. Do you just install magisk from twrp or do you have to somehow install it on both partitions?

I seem to have lost my root after I did the update for 9.5.11 this morning
Here is what I did
I did as stated
Download update, Install, DO NOT REBOOT
Went to Magisk, unistalled all modules, then did OTA Install
Rebooted
Went to Magisk installed TWRP, but my phone froze at that point and the screen turned all white and just sat there
So I clicked on the power button and rebooted
Got back into my phone and checked to see if I was still rooted via root checker app and now it says I AM NOT ROOTED
What can I do to fix this I can launch Magisk, but now it says its is not installed on the screen, so I click install, download the ZIP option

If you don't need TWRP, first booting it and flashing the zip takes way longer than "fastboot flash boot boot.img".
Hi I Got S10 + Uk vodaphone version.I wanna root it with magisk and install TWRP but I cant root the phone.I unlock bootloader its grey out and say its unlocked.I download newest firware for my version of phone that is SM-G975F_1_20200831175834_fj7kxp9ic8_fac (csc FOV) and when I install magisk mannager V 8 and patch ap file I put phone in download mode load all files BL magisk updated AP ,CP,CSC I got error screen attached in pics .I tried everything and nothing works any advise is the firmware is to new or its something wrong with new magisk or mayby my phone is not rootable?

This is amazing. Do you think there's any way you could create a version that works with the SM-G998b? be so nice to patch stuff on the front ends so you don't have to go through these extra superfluous steps for getting TWRP back on.
So this allows you to unlock bootloader, root, and keep everything working if using the stock rom? Weren't the snapdragon phones previously not able to do this?

you can use files in OP just extract them delete the recovery.img thats in there and add the recovery.img from the 998B and re-tar those files
So I just posted in the original forum and I guess I'll ask this question a second time I have an s21 ultra unlocked and rooted with TWRP already on there and someone from our telegram group has been trying to help me pair my Samsung Galaxy watch 3 and we've not been able to successfully connect it in the wearables app so he sent me here and my questions are what do I need to do do I just use Odin and flash this through Odin and does it matter I already have TWRP installed I guess I'm just kind of asking what I need to do?

I dont think pairing fix is working on s21 currently
Updated files in OP fixed sum bugs. Added new safetynet patch and I think wearable fix now works
Hey @jrkruse question ! This is the preferred method after afaneh's BL unlock, correct? Also question two, I've tried doing extensive research as to why Secure Folder won't work... From my understanding if safetynet passes then it should work.. So I guess I'm a little confused how come secure folder won't work, do you happen to know? I'm not concerned about Pass or Pay, but Secure Folder is an awesome feature. Thanks for your guide, if this is the preferred method I am going to use it asap!
Edit: Okay after some thought... Secure Folder won't work because it checks if KNOX is tripped.. And for that reason alone it fails. Am I right? Thanks!

I'm not concerned about Pass or Pay, but Secure Folder is an awesome feature. Thanks for your guide, if this is the preferred method I am going to use it asap!
Edit: Okay after some thought... Secure Folder won't work because it checks if KNOX is tripped.. And for that reason alone it fails. Am I right? Thanks!

Secure folder still works
I updated a rooted SM-G998U1 to the latest firmware and this method absolutely works! The only problem that I currently have is that I can't pass safety net. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
eSim was just added for note 20 tmobile firmware. Is there anyway you can extract the service that handles it from there and include it into here?

Hello phinicool, can be explained what you did before these messages. We have no crystal ball to see in it, if you tried to install the UI5.1 rom from ivan or others.

I used magisk to patch the img. I then made it into a tar file. After that I put my phone into download mode and used odin to install that was where the problem happened. My phone was already bootloaded and I used an official download.
Is it possible for me to just make my phone normal again?

u need to download fw from sammobile and flash it on odin
Download firmware for your phone in SamFW.
Install it in ODIN.
After, you can install TWRP.tar and vbmeta for your phone in ODIN.
In TWRP you need flash Magisk. Before, you need Magisk convert in .zip file.
Install TWRP.tar and vbmeta:
After the official TWRP is installed do not disconnect the USB cable. Press the Vol Down + Power buttons together. After 7 seconds you will get a black screen. After you get a black screen, press the Vol Up + Bixby + Power keys as soon as possible. Keep it like that until TWRP recovery opens. Wipe all, format data, yes and you can flash custom ROM. After you flashed custom ROM you can flash Magisk.zip in TWRP.
