Couldn't find a list of compatible wireless chargers with the pixel 5 fast charge.

This isn't exactly what you asked for but it does shed some light for you. I ordered this one. While it's not flat but instead a stand the rest of this info you'll find useful. The charger said up to15w but I wasn't getting anywhere near that. It doesn't include a cable or brick but I figured I had so many over the years it really wasn't a big deal to use my own. I tried the brick and cable that came with the pixel 5, slow charging. I tried the brick and cable from my OnePlus 6t, OnePlus 6, my wife's old samsung s9 brick and cable, all slow. Finally I tried an Anker qualcomm 2.0-3.0 certified brick and the stock OnePlus 6t cable, fast wireless charging achieved! Likely, the pixel 5 cable would have worked as well only the particular charger I have lacks USB C so had to use a different cable.
All that said, a brick that has qualcomm 2.0-3.0 fast charging, a decent cable and a wireless pad that has 15w should get what you want. You likely can buy the wireless pad with the correct brick...I just can't advise exactly which one.

Good deal, you can download an app called ampre here on xda or the market link here if you haven't already, it will tell you charging rates you're getting between different cables, bricks etc.
I've got a belkin boost 10W. There's a few threads on reddit about wireless chargers too

I have this Griffin Dual USB PowerJolt Car Charger and its been working perfectly on all my devices, Playbook, Blackberry 9900, Samsung Galaxy S3, iPhone 3G, iPad 2 and many others but for some reason, this charger just don't want to work with my Nexus 7. I don't know why its so picky and wondering if you guys could help me identify the problem and preferably with a good working solution.
I tried opening it up and follow the advice from http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-m...m_ciu_pdp_images_0?ie=UTF8&index=0&isremote=0. Both pins are already been soldered together but the Nexus still isn't charging!!
This makes me wonder where's the USB standard? How are some device / chargers so picky? What did the manufacturers do to prevent charging on other devices or charging through a non compatible charger?

Thanks a lot. I did read up all the posting regarding the USB charging issue on the N7 but I still can't find the answers. I read about people having the Griffin PowerJolt and not able to charge their device.
After downloading the Battery Monitor Widget and plugging to my Griffin PowerJolt (short D+, D-), the device is charging (estimate: 384mA) but still not showing as charging. It shows Discharging and Unplugged. I don't think its the USB cable since the cable works on my PC.
So what causes this issue?

It doesn't matter why, just that your Griffin does not do a good job of charging. If you want more either buy oem or any charger designed to work with Samsung, those devices should work better.

I guess I still blame on the N7 for being so "picky" since the Griffin USB charger charges ALL devices, including iPad, Playbook, Samsung S3, iPhone and Blackberry but just not N7.

Yep, the Nexus 7 is picky. No question about it. But your chargert *does* charge your Nexus 7, the Nexus just doesn't indicate it's charging.
Personally, I bought two KMASHI chargers from Amazon. It's a 5V 2A charger and it works great. Charges at greater than 1Ah and the N7 indicates it's charging. Won't charge an iPad but it works for me. The one I bought is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008XQYH1G but it shows as unavailable now. I suspect the other KMASHI chargers will work the same, though.

It charges it but its slow. Being rated at 1A, its can only charge at 300mA+ so its rather disappointing plus the charging isn't consistent. Sometimes when I plug in, it will charge, sometimes not so its another disappointment. But I guess I quickly adapt it and don't bother too much now.
I can still use my in car Head Unit with a build in USB port. At least I am getting 400mA+ and it shows as charging so I am ok

Ive been recommending this Sprint 2A dual usb charger to everyone. Its a OEM charger so you can expect a high quality product that works as it should and it puts out the required juice to rapidly charge the N7. It also has the added benefit of doubling as a wall charger. Hey All.. I looked forever to find a solution. The Targus 2A car charger has a small (3") adapter cable that comes with it purportedly for Galaxy Tab. That little cable with the data wires shorted on the device end allows the N7 to be charged from ANY 2A car charger. I'm using the adapter with a Scosche dual 2.1 Amp Car Charger

Edit: I just built a usb cable with the data wires shorted on the Nexus end (cut, strip, short micro usb end green and white, remake connections red to red and black to black, insulate splices individually, wrap all in electrical tape or heat shrink for strength and beauty) and it works with all chargers. Took about 20 minutes.

Someone like me in the Ridesharing industry, two cigarette lighters is not enough! This would be perfect so I can have a charger for myself, iPhone passengers, and Android passengers. Then I could use the other port for my dash cam power!
Edit: Nevermind. Seems the cable is not included.
The QC 2.0 port supplies 15w with 9V and 1.67A which seems to be the the requirement of the Samsung S6 fast charge feature (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59794206&postcount=9). I suppose it will enable that feature...
Did you try it on a S6? Is the Fast Charge enabled while connecting the S6 on the QC 2.0 port?
Any concerns about the battery safety?

Choetech has a few fast wireless chargers listed on Amazon.
1: Single Coil - Pad-type
2: Single Coil - Circle-type with Smart Lighting
3: 3 Coils - Pad-type with Smart Lighting
I was researching this yesterday. What you have to remember about wireless pads is that typically a 2.0 pad will charge similar to a Non fast Charge 2 plugin-in charger. So like a standard charger. Once 3.0 ones are out I assume it will be a similar scenario. Hopefully some day down the line they will be just as fast as their plugin counterparts.
As far as those links above, 10w max isn't very strong considering a plugin 3.0 is about 18w and even a 2.0 is 15w. So 10 watt seems pretty dinky for a wireless still. Still I guess better than the old 5 watt ones.
Tronsmart is making a fast charging capable qi charger which should be nice. I used to have a TYLT VU (angled qi charger) for my Nexus 6 that as great. I would buy an angled one because it's easier to see your phone on and impossible to not have it charge.

After some more digging I found this: Nekteck Wireless Charging Pad (18w QC 2.0 Adaptive)
Looks very promising; 18w, slightly tilted instead of laying down flat, smart lighting.

Correct. You can also buy a "QC 2.0 Adaptive Fast Charger" like this.
please use the Samsung original or certified third-party 18W QC 2.0 adapter as its power source.

I received that charger 3 days ago.
I can not test it on the S7 just yet of course, however I have tested it on other phones and it does charge faster than a standard Qi wireless charger does.
I will post up some information about this charger, and the Cheotech 10w circle fast charger that I have also, as soon as the phones arrive.

Hi guys, I'm new to wireless charging, and I'm a bit confused as to which wireless fast charger I should buy for the S7...is there anything different about the wireless charging on the S7 than the S6, Note 5, etc.? Are there new chargers coming out soon that are somehow better than the ones currently on the market? I'm just wondering which charging pads would give me the fastest charge. If anyone could shed some light on this for me, that'd be helpful

These so called fast charge wireless models are all over the place with specs. I'd wait for the newer crop to be out and tested.

My Choetech fast wireless charging pad still works great so far. I will recommend Choetech. Very stable and warm slightly. They have many kinds of wireless chargers, which has lots of good feedbacks on Amazon. :good:
Well now that there is a report that the s7 and s7e do not support quick charge 3.0 (sad) I'm not sure what's what.

That looks like a good one. I have a pad already, If I use one of the new power supplies will the charge fast, or need to upgrade the pad????
You'll need to use a Quickcharge 2.0 plug, to have it fast charge. It's not going to go any faster if you use a QC 3.0 unit though.

I have read reviews of other xiaomi devices that said it was qc 3.0 enabled, but the charger that ships with the phone is not a quick charger and the user would have to buy their own to take advantage of this feature.
so does anyone know if the charger we receive with the mix is in fact a quick charger as the mi mix is on the devices that is qualcomm quick charge 3.0 enabled.

That site quoted 83% in 30mins, I am not getting that, not even close. I bought the anker USB C quick charge charger which suppose to be quick. I don't feel quick at all...

yes, as i posted i am well aware the phone is quick charge 3.0 capable. my question though is the charger that ships with the phone a quick charge charger. there are other xiaomi phones that are also quick charge but the user has to provide their own quick charger.
if i were to guess i do not think this charger is a quick charger based on my results compared to my nexus 6.

I got an Aukey QC3 5-Port Charger.
I'm trying to get my device empty right now (tough though as it lasts pretty long) and will test it afterwards.

I compared the included charger with my Anker quick charge 3 charger using the Ampere app.
The given stats were marginally better with the included charger.
I'm not really sure what all the figures mean but they were there or there abouts the same, the Anker charger is Qualcom QC3 certified.
Not nearly getting the quoted charge times though with either charger.
At 53% it claimed 44 mins to 100%
Yes, it ships with a fast charger. It delivers:
5V - 2.5A (12,5W)
9V - 2A (18W)
12V - 1.5A (18W)
So yes, it's a QC2.0 fast charger.
I'm currently at 69% and on the normal charger it's 3 hours+, on the QC2.0 charger I have, it's 1.5 hours and it gave me the same for the included charger. Kind of disappointed that it's only 2.0.
after seeing how insane the battery life is on this phone i just went with the qi wireless charging usb C adapter and I have no plans on going back, works awesome.

What I dislike, and you can't use is the Wireless Charging with your phone and case, and a metal plate stuck to the back of the phone. You see, I really like the various magnetic holders in the car (I have one that works with the CD Slot of the vehicle to mount the holder, another that is a little ball mount that sticks to any flat service). They use a thin metal plate to mount to the back of the phone case, and the magnetic is part of the phone mount that is in the vehicle. If you place the phone with the holder and the metal plate on the wireless charger base, it will overheat both the charging base and the phone.
I REALLY like the magnetic phone mount, and do like wireless charging but it a moot point if you have a mounting plate on the back of your phone or case.

get a Pioneer Appradio that mirrors your phones screen and problem solved. now that i'm so used to it i can't imagine my phone's screen not being the screen of the head unit in my car everything is right there makes it so much easier

I'm revising my previous post, it seems that the provided charger may indeed be a QC 3.0.
I've been reading that if you use USB-c to USB-c cable instead of the provided USB-a to USB-c cable, you actually get charge rate.
I've also been reading up on the QC 3.0 vs 2.0. Both will max out at 18watts. But 3.0 has a variable voltage whereas 2.0 is fixed at 5V, 9V and 12V. You can see that in the below link, there's a nice table of Watts for each QC.

However with USB-C to USB-C, it can charge at full 29Watts. That's a huge difference.

it says 48W of power, and allocates 19W for QC 3.0 which means the other Type-C port is allocated for 29Watts.
So I think I'm going to be looking for something with a direct USB-C port as a charger.
Certainly, this may be all for not if the Xiaomi Mi Mix is limited to 18W of input anyways.
I have the Anker USB-C to USB-C charger, my initial testing indicate that the original charger (China Plug) and my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge charger (UK Plug) are capable of doing 23.8 Watts max, i tried to monitor the difference and what I noticed is the Mi Mix original charger seems to be adjusting the charging power more often (not really sure why and whether it's good). My Anker USB-C to USB-C went up to 28.9 Watts Max. All chargers seems to scale down their charging rate after battery reach 80%+ so I think the best way to test is to empty the better and start from 0%. I doubt I will be doing that test though as it's quite hard to empty battery on Mix and I am pretty happy with my Anker charger so don't think I will be using Stock one or my Samsung one.
Unless I go on holiday with multiple devices that still use old USB port, Anker USB-C to USB-C is my go to charger.
So I think what you confirmed was that the mix can take power at 29 watts.

it does charge much faster, almost double of the one i posted originally in this thread. i'm getting a charge on it around 950ma which isn't too bad for wireless i don't think.
Is there an app I can use to see if this phone is quick charging ? I have a Google pixel charger USB c to USB c. Trying that out now .I can't really judge because this phone is at least 1000 mAh bigger than what I'm used to lol.

That's what I'm using too! I was at 24% battery, went to sleep for 4 hours with it charging, and I'm only at 74%. There has to be a way to know when we quick charge lol

My original super fast charger which came with the phone won't magnetically charge my note 20 ultra
with the charging cable which I used with my Samsung note 8. I already ordered new pd 60w quality cables+new pd magnetic adapters.
Since I did not find any information -Do I have to buy new magnetic tips (which are stuck in the phone) or can I use the same tip which I used with my note 8? Are there any differences between tips?

P.S - I am using my Samsung note 8 charger with the magnetic cable adapter in the mean time. The only problem is the slower charge....
If the previous setup didn't work for the new phone, you'll need the new tips too, most likely.
However, especially at the 25W fast charging speeds of the phone, I'd recommend you steer far, far away from magnetic chargers. Sure, it sounds like a nice idea, reducing the stress on the USB port, easy tear-away charging, and so on, but since most of these chargers are incredibly low quality, with bad contacts, you can expect a lot of loss, which manifests in the shape of heat. I remember with my Note8 I did the same, and the phone would get uncomfortably hot - and that was only 15W. Imagine what 25W would do.
The only magnetic chargers I trust are the ones specifically made and tested for the device - e.g. Apple's (old) MagSafe on MacBooks. And even those had heating issues.

The super faster charger doesnt play nice with alot devices iv come to find. I had an issue using a 2 in 1 charger/ aux adapter. The charger kept connecting and disconnecting. It seems to be some thing special to that brick specifically. Especially since its a 45w charger and I tried a ravpower 45w charger and it did not super fast charge my phone. Soo, yea. Super fast charging will only happen by way of samsungs official charger... which doesnt like alot other add-on devices (dongles, magnetic tips, ect).
