You'll never find a kdz, they don't make it available. I think Sprint is another carrier that doesn't make it available, but vzw does.
There are bkups of both at&t 9 and 10 people have made available, but you'll have to use qfil or bkerlers edl python to restore it. This is a link to my bkup, use it and one of the previous mentioned utilities to restore.
cheers

And btw, this is in the wrong forum. This should be in q&a, not rom and kernel development forum. This isn't about rom development, it's a question about rom bkups. You should ask a Moderator to move it.
cheers

please help me, I tried to unlock my lg v40 LM405UA ATET and it doesn't come out of the lg logo, I need the abl_a images

YES they do solve the question and they are very old threads, you didn't miss them, you just didn't search for them, you could find them with the search function on this very site...
- I have an htc hd7 tmobile
* like me
- I think it is factory unlocked but not quite sure
* if you can use any SIM, then it's unlocked...
- I was roaming around this website and found about custom rom. I want some detail about it..what is it for..?What are the advantages and disadvantages of it? Is there any risk? If it gets damaged then i will not get any from my dad....can we get bt transfer from any custom rom..
* You clearly didn't read or use google about the topic, all the custom roms say what they do, also the concept is obvious to avoid questioning about what it is...
Official ROM, Custom ROM
what does this tells you?
Are the custom ROMs made by Microsoft, T-Mobile or AT&T?
What is Official ROM, can the Official ROM be made by anyone?
Does the custom ROMs thread mention something about BT transfers?
Does any thread mention this topic about WP7?
next time don't fear google.com

LG .kdz firmwares for all models.

Since this topic affects all LG phones and it is really important I'm sharing link to this topic in G2 section.
For Moderators: Please, don't remove this topic. If you can lock it and make it sticky it would be great.
For everybody: If you want to say anything don't do it here, but in the topic from this link.

U sure this affects N4?
I'm asking because our firmware is provided by Google, not LG.
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images?hl=pt-BR#occam
There's both, for the most part we'd use Google's factory images, but there are LG 'full' images floating about too.
Yes but if you want to change firmware by unofficial method to some other not relased for your country what you will do ? Or you will damage your phone and need to flash by flashtool in emergency mode? There are beta firmwares for N4. There are also very usefull things like service manuals service bulletins from which you can learn how your phone is build and also what are factory defects etc.

OEM Unlock

Hello everyone.
Seem like alot of people are getting the wanted OEM unlock now, WHO do we need to get a working PIE ROM going? Are we getting close?
I think a bounty needs to be started in order to get a Good recognised ROM created interested. They arent gonna pay for a device that isn't officially released in USA. I'm sure there is 90 people on XDA wanting a custom ROM willing to pay £10 each to a bounty to get a device for a developer.
Indeed now all the bootloader situation is solved it would be great to get some working non EMUI ROM working...
I would certainly contribute to a bounty but maybe better first we are where we are , if there is anyone working on this, or could be potentially interested ... Maybe we could start by renaming this thread to something more informative to see if we can get some interest on this topic?

Working on it...
I`m interested
Eur 10 is very justified if we can get a fully functioning non EMUI rom
With treble support and released kernel sources it seems to be very realistic.
The only thing I'm worried about is the camera, but in the P20 Pro forum they already have a port of the original one working on Lineage.
It looks like OEM Unlock could be enabled again in FW 9.0.0.171 according to another xda post I found via Google
When I had the OP5t I was very happy to use the LiquidROM Dabug123, maybe we should look in the same direction for compliling a ROM for the M20P
You still need to pay for a bootloader unlock code currently once you get to .171
Today I will upload my rom based on 182 emui

Would love to try the new rom hopefully
I can write your version of rum if we OEM lock , thank you Auras76.
Quick question guys. If I unlock my bootloader and root the phone, can I go back and re-lock it to bring the phone back to its original factory state?

I am not 100% sure about the Mate 20 Pro, but I had unlocked my previous Mate 10 Pro (with official unlock code from Huawei, and adb) and months later I easily re-locked it back, using the same code.
Forgive my ignorance but can i Flash a custom rom without unlocking the bootloader? If not is my only option to pay FunkHuwaei for a code?
no you can't and yes it is
Hello everyone, still on 153 here in Denmark on 3, should we reach out for other ROM maintainer for guides? Do any other than EMUI people and FH Guys "helping" us?

Thank you so much. I'm going to check that link out. I really appreciate it, man.
Thats only the euro lg v40 which has LG's support for bootloader unlock. You can use this guide dont know it will work because its new. https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v40/development/unlock-lg-v40-via-9008-root-t-mobile-t4042207
I have the LM-V405 through sprint.. Any suggestions?
First, crossflash to the US version. For the reasons why, look at this thread. Follow this thread's directions for the crossflash. Use the No Root directions, as you'll root your device in a later section. Note that once you crossflash, you CANNOT go back to a Sprint KDZ because Sprint does not make their KDZs publically available.
Second, unlock the bootloader via the link that @KouaV1 provided.
Third, once your bootloader is unlocked, install TWRP following the guide here.
Fourth, install Magisk via TWRP.
Be patient. Nobody gets it all right their first go around. The device is picky. As long as you have 9008 mode and LGUP, you can always go back to the beginning and start over.

Not to be negative, but, there is not a way to root the t-mo version and it's pretty well known there never will be one.
There's one thing about LG phones that new people learn, sometimes the hard way, that is the t-mo version is **different** then all the other versions. It's mentioned in all the threads re rooting, cross flashing, etc etc etc.
They say something like; "Works for all versions, except T-Mobile!!"
sorry to tell you, but that's pretty much an unmodifiable phone.

So why not look in the 'guides' forum and follow the guide that's already been used by so many? You can read the comments to know what issues others have run into, pretty much everything is in there.
Put some effort into it, if you get stuck, ask questions in that forum / guide.
