XtremeMusic app is the placebo app, guy who created it closed his thread on XDA. UltraM8 explained why his mod is bad. Basically he said that he put random props & libs that sounds good but they aren't working at all. Only RSSP Magisk module (removes Dirac) + Narsil mod with custom narsil_options + Neutron Music Player is a good option.
Also: If you're an audiophile, you don't want resampling and you want less audio processing as possible.
Here's the link for my custom user_options which I tested thoroughly: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YK8uB-1zXzS5ekxev5F4O1j1uEjB3eWi/view?usp=sharing

Thanks for diff. angle of view to this..
My "finale dream" is only HW pure max power output with all new qcom libs but its look like i need to read.. a lot ..

Edit1:
Resample is really better off, thx.
Now i Removed Xmusic
Flash RSSP (not sure if want to disabke dirac)
I found NLSound Mod for Qcom devices and can say MustHave this ..
So now on: Narsil + NLSounds
Result sounds very difficult like much more of natural way pure deep sounds

Pure Snake Oil at its finest. The creator of Ainur Narsil has already explained in detail, why you cannot simply copy libs as they require reference to the appropriate hardware.
Besides, if you are a "true hi-fi" listener, you won't be using your phone as a source and would have a dedicated Receiver/Amplifier for that.

Edit2: Using Narsil and NL Soud with PowerAmp with as much as possible to natural pref. EQ settings... so 24bit/192khz is the max what we can get out by our 732g ? :/

YES, me too, but i am looking for best choice for sound implementations bcs..
bcs we have Snapdragon! and snapdragon owning most of awesome hardware 'skills' so ... why we must install unneccessary apps, buying ext. hw if we can obtain massive performance from our device just based on few ''Zero-One'' binaries without battery consume ... thats the magic betw. SW / HW x)
***already i am testing as stock as possible with USB Audio driver patched for all outputs.. 32bit/192kHz everywhere, where i want to push my music to output, later will share all of my combinations to test btw also tried Xperia XZ2 port with SonyMPlayer w/ DSEEHX + Dirac stock + other little stuff and sounds very very suprisely so.. AFAIK there is nothing above 192kHz. To be noted though that 192kHz is useless unless using audio processing (some reverbs and maximizers will work better at higher frequency but tat is about it), if you are only going for HiFi, 48kHz is enough (and so is 44.1, just go according to your source to prevent resamplig). 24 bits is useful in some cases though as higher bit depth allows finer passing of low level dynamics, useful in some cases to get a clean signal through.

I am aware that, however the person asking wanted recommendations for a USB DAC that could sample higher than that frequency.. A signal sampled at twice it's highest frequency component already has a bandwidth that contains all information.

Can i use this mod with 3.5 audio jack output i have tried all possible fix but i Always lose audio jack output when i install this mod only speaker work when headphone is inserted with all system sound, tiered installing via recovery as advised for 3.5 output but didn't work; I'm searching for a workaround advice to make it work.

Please close this one, thank you.

[Q] Best Sound mods on stock rom?

Hello ! As you all know Sound quality has been terrible on our Z1 since Lollipop came out and Sony has done nothing to fix it so now i have gotten enough and i wanna do something about it myself. I have been reading lots about sound mods and have been comparing them with others but i cant seem to find good one to fit my purposes so i decided to ask here. Im not looking for stereo mod or anything speaker related or like that, i just wanna get the true power what it is capable to produce to my headset like on KK and to be able to adjust the equalization and bass etc like we used to before Walkm... i mean Music app sound enchantments stopped working.. i have XPhonePlus Module from XPosed to enable old audio modes but its currently broken or something since doesnt work...
So basicly im looking for audio mod that:
- Brings back the volume that we had in KK. (In LP its much lower volume.)
- Makes equalization working again. (After LP, had never worked, not in Music beta or the not beta one)
- Makes surround work again (--||--)
- As good bass without losing quality as possible
- Being able to keep the sound enchantments in other apps too not just music app
- Works on stock rom
- As stable as possible, im not really good updater.
- Needs to be able to change settings on the fly. (on LP sometimes equalizer settings take effect on reboot)
I know all my requirements arent necessary possible but just something that way !
I have Bluetooth headset and wired one and i use both so it needs to work on both. i listen mostly electronic so extra bass related mod is never a minus. Im not looking to change music app since i like it so that is not an option.
Im taking suggestions and im gonna pick the best one based on popularity and comments so please share your favourite mod here an i will check it out !
Also im a noobie so i might need instructions i have root ofc and nuts recovery and xposed. im on .270 5.0.2 LP
@migidid
I'm gonna try to answer :3
1. Edit your mixer_paths.xml, need root, there is also many guide in XDA
2. Equalizer works correctly, I don't know why you have such problem xD
3. Surround works too, but only when using headset/headphone.
4. This need headset/headphone with nice sound range too, you can +bass from stock Equalizer, I'm used Poweramp and Poweramp equalizer + Sony equalizer
5. Sony Sound Effect have a global effect for your speaker and also from another sound media too, but I don't know about surround effects (didn't try this so much) xD
EDIT: It's works on Poweramp, just tested it :3
EDIT2: It's not working on Poweramp, it's "blank" sound, sorry xD
EDIT3: Got a fix, must disable Direct Volume Control and enable MusicFX and you will get Surround Sound effect xD
6. I'm on Sony stock L ROM build .270, rooted
7. Nothing bads, if you know what are you doing xD
8. Sony Equalizer no need reboot to take effect, it's immediate :3
I don't like use Viper or another Sound Mod like that, it's useless (for me), since Sony already have in build Sound Effect. I'm only used nice headphone (not high res), modified mixer_paths.xml and Poweramp. :3

cm14.1 appears to be set at 90 initially, so its not needed.
most developers including cyanogenmod are using 90 as default setting now, but be aware that some developers change other parts of these files as they see fit for other purposes. In other words, you probably don't need to use these files anymore if you are running any custom rom.
I use Resurrection Remix 6.x -- based on CM13 -- and yes RR 6.X ROM from @bhb27 already has some audio boost (from 84 to 90). However, I also have this below installed. It also gives richer sound and has speaker enhancement. See screenshots below.

It incorporates Viper and some other stuff. It installs a couple of apps (Dolby Atmos and Viper) and automatically uninstalls RR's Audio FX (since it's redundant or a conflict).
For the Viper "phone speaker" section I have "Speark Optimization" and "xTra Loud" on -- but only on "Slight" for "Select Effect Strength" in the xTra Loud section. It gets really loud, even with that "slight" -- so for some media I have to turn the volume down.
In the Dolby Atmos app, I have Voice on "Rich" profile and turned on "Dialogue Enhancer" -- but have not adjusted anything in the EQ. I can tell a BIG difference when I turn off the Dolby app and turn it back on while playing a song -- so I know it's working!
If you decide to try it, ignore the confusing "add ons" or "profiles". There's somewhat cryptic instructions on how to install them, but I'm NOT using them. I'm keeping it simple.
I only downloaded the main app, rebooted into TWRP recovery, flashed it, wiped caches, and rebooted.
First time you run Viper, it asks to install the driver. Say YES, and wait a couple of minutes. It is doing stuff in the background, be patient. It will then ask you to re-boot to activate Viper. I then turned on the options in the screenshots above in Viper and Dolby Atmos.

Android xt1254 volume boost is it really possible?
A lot of audio file on just an old guy with an old Android it doesn't hear very well.
I have tried no less than six different apps increase the volume on my telephone it does absolutely nothing nor do the EQ functions work.
Is it apps that are full of Bologna or is it that my phone is not technical enough to accept these applications.
I even contacted Motorola to Good Into The Hidden Factory controls which some article said could be done by changing the numbers but I've been told it's not possible on this telephone.
Any suggestions of someway to boosters volume would be greatly appreciated.

[FIX][Audio Resampling][Stock Oreo] Fix 384Khz For Music Player That Use Direct PCM F

Hi all
I'm using PowerAMP Beta 709 for listening music, LG Music player is decent for me, PowerAMP can resampling up to 384Khz, but on LG V30 it's not working when i choose resampling to 384Khz, its just back to 44.1Khz.
Only 44.1~352.8Khz is working, i tought it's bug in PowerAMP but NOT, LG forgot some line or intentionally not adding 384khz in 24bit Direct PCM. So i fix that.
Every Music player that use flag Direct PCM can use 24bit 384Khz now without going back to 16bit 44.1Khz ofcourse if there music app that support 32bit 192/384Khz will also work if using flag direct pcm 32bit
Requirements :
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. TWRP installed
3. Root
How to install?
1. Just flash with TWRP or
2. Extract and put to system/vendor/etc and change permissions to 0644
Hi thanks for the mod
Got one question about how sound works on a v30.
I usually listen to songs like 24/96 or higher or sometimes the mqa from tidal, the question is will the viper4android downsample my songs? As I saw on all devices I had it installed that drive status reports 44kHz sampling rate even when I was playing hi-res music.

I'm never try V4A but yeah your song is downsampling, maybe V4A doesn't support or use direct pcm or even snapdragon 24bit offload so its still use Open SL ES 16bit 44.1khz for output.
Maybe someone has better answer than me, cause i never try V4A.
Hi, will give this a try but how to undo if something is not right ?

Just open the zip file and see for yourself which and how the files are modified. It's just a quick edit of both instances of audio_policy_configuration.xml. It could be edited by hand, same as with the high impedance mod.
Kudos to the OP for the useful tip !
I'd like to test if LG has fixed this issue on stock Oreo with the July update. I have a library full of FLAC music files; so the next step would be to install PowerAMP and select 384kHz? I'll edit this post with results.
EDIT: US99820D (July stock ROM) has the bug. Flashing the fix resolves the issue as revealed by PowerAMP beta. I did notice though that having the "Enhanced" DAC preset enabled introduces intermittent static noises in certain songs. It doesn't bother me, since I keep it at "normal" and set the digital filter to "short." Very nice sounds with Sennheiser HD558.
Thank you @Rizal Lovins for the fix !
Since this thread is one year old, with the last oreo fw 20h us998 is the audio resampling still happening on LG's stock music app or been fixed? I don't know how to see/measure the audio output

No, too
I sadly cannot get this fix to work things still only play 352.8, when I try to get it to sample fully to 384 it jumps down to 192. This fix just seems to do nothing sadly. Trying with USB Audio Player Pro

Phone speaker is AMAZING. Potential is hidden.

ROOT/Magisk REQUIRED
Well, in my hastiness to mod this phone, I did a couple things, namely Viper Audio FX Magisk module in Magisk downloads within the Magisk app, and dual speaker module for Magisk which you can get here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/themes/magisk-stereo-speaker-mod-oneplus-6t-t3860041. I'm running the BOOSTED dual speaker now. Decided to see if my magical speaker config on Viper would give me results like it did on my 3T, and boy, it's a real surprise on this phone. The stock audio tuning on the speaker hides what it can actually do.
Now, you'll need the Convolver profiles for Viper Audio to reproduce my settings. You can get the profiles in this zip: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767141554. It's under modules > profiles. Just copy the Viper4Android folder you find in there and store it. You will need to install Magisk with Viper Audio FX and the optional dual speaker mod for the 6T.
Once you get the Viper dual speaker modules installed, plug your phone into your PC and copy the Viper4Android folder you copied from the zip with the profiles, into the internal shared storage root. Close when done.
You can now open the Viper4Android app and enable speaker master, convolver, and speaker optimization switches.
If you click on Convolver it will take you to a menu where you can select profiles. Leave the knob that's next to the profile selector @ 0%. Make sure your main volume is down, because when you select the TUBEAMPLIFIER profile, the volume will boost.
Now you can enjoy rich, deep, sound from the very underrated speaker
----------------------------------------------------------
So I made another interesting discovery. I installed the latest Cleanslate kernel(version 2.7.7 is the latest from the date of this post) which you can get here along with the configuration(2.9.0) and companion(2.5.0) app, and in the configuration app it allows for tuning of the speakers(yes the earpiece speaker as well!).
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files...&sort_dir=DESC
I boosted the earpiece speaker to level 7 when I was using reduced dual speaker. Backed it down to 5 on boosted dual speaker, on the slider of the Cleanslate configuration app, and hit save. I think the damn earpiece speaker might be almost as meaty as the bottom speaker. It doesn't distort for ****, and the range of sound is astounding! I think we have a true second speaker for our phone, boys and girls! This is pretty awesome!
I paired it with my ViperAudio tweaks and the OnePlus 6T is now like a portable boombox, lol. I love this phone!
Followed your steps to chose the "Tubeamplifier and technics" profile. Let's see how much difference does it make. I will write my experience later.

Awesome. How do you like it? Those are just my preferences, so it's not limited to just that config. I just found it to work the best for the speaker. Reveals more low frequency in the speaker, while maintaining the nice mids and highs.
I wasn't expecting such a drastic change. I was playing a song on about half volume before applying the profile, tapped on the profile and BOOM. It was like the volume was turned all the way up, and sounded much more rich. Then I kept turning the volume up slowly to see where it would start distorting, and to my surprise it never did. Full volume is now about 2x as loud and sounds much much better. Whatever you did with that profile is a gamechanger.

I did nothing lol. Just a nice discovery I made fiddling with my old 3T and applied it here. Pretty dramatic result, right? Looks like OnePlus is sandbagging big time with the hardware. Luckily, our development community can take advantage of such wonderful hardware offerings.

Silly me, didn't think of looking there. I suggest you quote the mod thread in OP for others like me. And Thanks.

And that maybe THE reason OnePlus did not do it by themselfes. Why should they deliver something less powerful than possible?

Because overengineered parts are great for better durability. This tweak demonstrates the quality of parts that OnePlus uses on their phone, which seem to be astounding quality.
Based on the response, I'm going to definitely be downloading and trying this out. Though, I'll also probably upload the profiles to something else because that is a damn large file lol. I just wanna download to me phone?
It works! Great find! I kept the speaker optimization off as I don't enjoy low frequency on a mobile speaker.

And with this mod, you may lack the better durability. But who knows? I myself don't use mobiles longer than a few weeks, so i don't care

[GUIDE] Enable Hi-Res audio on Oreo using Neutron Music Player with 64-bit processing

Hi guys,
I'll start with a disclaimer.
I. This guide is as simple as I can make it. If you are unable to follow these ten simple steps—please do not ask me any questions here or via PM, 'cause I'm not going to answer them. I have no time to waste on helping the IQ challenged.
II. This guide is for Neutron Music Player (hereafter NMP) only. I don't know or care how to enable Hi-Res audio support in any other player.
III. This guide is for Oreo only. If anyone can provide audioflinger dumps for Pie—and please don't ask me how to do it, see above—I'll check them and update this guide.
IV. This guide is for those who use WIRED gear. Last time I checked Hi-Res was NOT working for speaker/bluetooth. The root cause(s) may be Qualcomm's WCD9335 codec or engineering 'talent' at Asus or both. Again, I don't care.
V. This guide is for the stock ROM only. If you use a custom ROM—you are on your own, I don't know or care if the Hi-Res audio is supported there.
VI. If you have dirt cheap gear you don't even need Hi-Res audio 'cause you won't be able to hear the difference anyway. I'd say that the baseline is something like olde golde Sennheiser CX300-II or Creative EP630 (plus FLAC or any other lossless format supported by NMP).
VII. If you listen to lossy music files like MP3s—well they will be played louder and somewhat clearer, but don't expect wonders.
VIII. If you use Viper or Sauron or any other audio mod—you're on your own. Viper will not work for sure, as for other mods—I don't know or care. Have I written that before? Good, it won't hurt to repeat that again
Now let's rock!
1. If you don't have NMP, install it, add your music, etc, then CONNECT YOUR WIRED GEAR.
2. There are some prerequisites related to NMP settings, see the official NMP FAQ for Hi-Res Audio available at
http://neutronmp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4014
3. In SETTINGS, enable 64-Bit Processing.
4. SETTINGS→Audio Hardware→Generic Driver: enable BOTH Hi-Res Codec (Direct PCM) and Custom Format. DO NOT ENABLE Hi-Res Speaker or Hi-Res Bluetooth.
5. Open Custom Format by tapping the gear button.
6. Set Format to "24-bit Int" and confirm by tapping the checkmark button . ALL THE OTHER FORMATS MUST BE DISABLED.
7. Set Frequency to "352800" (preferable) OR "384000" and confirm by tapping the checkmark button . ALL THE OTHER FREQUENCIES MUST BE DISABLED.
8. Set Mode to "DIRECT" and confirm by tapping the checkmark button . ALL THE OTHER MODES MUST BE DISABLED.
9. Tap the checkmark button several times to go back to SETTINGS, then Android's own back button to get to the player UI.
10. You're all set, enjoy your music in Hi-Res!
PS If you don't believe that Hi-Res audio support can be enabled by following this guide—check the two attached files. These files contain audioflinger dumps for 352800 Hz and 38400 Hz resampling frequencies, made on a rooted ZB602KL device with the v340 stock ROM.
Again, don't ask me any questions. Uncle Google is your friend.
If you STILL don't believe that Hi-Res audio support can be enabled by following this guide—check these links.
Yes these tests are in Russian, so you're welcome to use Google Translate if you don't know Russian

The thing is that although current versions of Neutron and Poweramp support Hi-Res audio "out of the box", Hi-Res output does not work "out of the box" in Neutron IF 64-BIT PROCESSING IS ENABLED IN NEUTRON.
I had spent quite a lot of time analyzing audioflinger dumps until I found the right combination of settings to enable both 64-bit processing AND Hi-Res audio at the same time.
