does anyone know how to change the font face for an individual app. not system or all apps? I am currently using Nokia Pure font but unfortunately it is incompatible for my apps that are in Vietnamese, I'd like to make those apps use Helvetica font.
any help is appreciated

I am rooted and I can't seem to get more than 3hrs screen on time and the screen set to auto.
I have seen some crazy stats so I am wondering if rooting the phone is causing battery issues.

Why don't you unroot and go back to stock to compare? It would be interesting to see the difference.

I am experiencing the same exact situation. It's extremely strange considering the Note 3 and Oneplus One get at least 5hrs. I can't figure out what is going on.

I used greenify and wake lock detector as well. I did that when I was only getting 4hrs of battery life total. That got better but 3hrs is the max i can squeeze out of it.

Post screen shots and add better battery stats. It gives you info that wake lock don't.

I hear you but I can switch to my Oneplus for free lol. I'll figure it out without better battery stats. I just don't have this problem often enough to pay 3 bucks for a possible fix.
This is what my daily usage is pretty much like and the battery life is pretty bad.

Why the heck not. I'll give it a shot. I ran stock and got 3hrs of screen on time and now i'm running dynamic kat and getting the same screen on time. I've seen quite a few people with much better screen on time on stock rooted roms too. I'm not sure what is going on with my device but I suspect it has to do with my crashing the phone when I first got it. I was stuck on a Tmobile screen when I was trying to root the thing. Not sure what happened but I'll give this firekat a shot.

4. Greenify all downloaded user apps...Dont touch system app/don't activate greenify xposed mod

7. Disable google location history and location reporting...doesn't affect maps or g now at all only stops a ton of data mining and wake locks
8. Do not use power saving mode...it defeats the optimizations and tweaks I've done to make the battery life so awesome
Enjoy the new build...latterly for those who want v1 on crack and steroids...use multicore controller or setcpu to max throttle the cpu to 2.7 ghz full time on performance governor lol then you're head will be spinning

Honestly I don't do much else I let the rom do all the work...
For battery life: greenify is all i use...i greenify everything except widgets like zooper pro, live wallpapers like aurora or ocean weather, root apps like setcpu root explorer ect, ...which is mainly widgets, wallpapers, and root apps...no system apps
NO TUNERS CLEANERS RAM CLEARERS ECT...these are all counterproductive and usually cause more drain than good..
I also do not freeze or uninstall a bunch of apps from my system. ..i only do the few listed in op2
Never use power saving mode on my roms
Disable google history and reporting in location settings: doesn't negatively impact google maps or now, all functions and cards work. ..just no excess data or location pings
For performance
I use multicore controller: interactive governor
2700 ghz max
1400 ghz min (although recently increased due to excess battery life) i charge at night and since v4 on every other night getting about 4.5 hours screen on over 36 hours total
Animations on kk esp 4.4.4 are drastically slower than 4.3...thanks google for seeing ios8 and thinking that's the direction we should go in...[emoji107]...
I always change my animations to .5 in dev options
I use setcpu with exact settings as multicore controller to adjust io scheduler...use ROW io setting
themes
I uses to theme tw by coding and hated it tbh...because I love changing themes...wanam is by far my favorite mod over greenify setcpu ect...i could so without cpu controller as the roms already so quick...but wanam gives you an insane freedom to theme as you see fit on the fly
Zooper widget pro is def my favorite app becuase of the same reason with wanam. ..the freedom to have the s5 widget on nova or g3/g flex widgets on N4 ect...or the freedom to go off an get creative makes for a one of a kind device....
That's truly the key...i give my setup as a guide for how to lean it out, speed it up ect...but love watching what everyone does with the same blank canvas...
My favorite background ever is none 1 Aurora Live Wallpaper ripped and posted in op2 for everyone...my favorite theme lately has been the beach theme on my n4
S5/n4 AccuWeather are my favorite widgets ever...up with note 1 5 day layout one...but im not a big fan of the centered transparent n4 one tbh
Stock apps:
I'm actually a big fan of the stock Keyboard on n3/n4 that's what I use plus I use the s pen a ton so it's easier...i hate the new sms theme for the most part but love the clean look and use...with apps/services like email and sms browser i tend to a stick with stock becuase i like most of the apps, they're quality, optimized in the build and run well...it's a little different on stock admittedly but on fk
I do have swiftkey and google keyboard. ...new Google keyboard is hideous imo lol
I also have javelin browser for a second browser option
Def us stock camera since i optimized it the shots are just phenomenal...but i do like the lenovo apk i posted in op2 that's a pretty cool point and shoot replica style ui to play with. ..that's the thing with most stock replacements i have or try it's just a secondary give it a shot once in a while thing for the most part for me...i like most of tw and tw apps tbh

Using root browser or root explorer

1. Open and Grant Root
2. Scroll down the list to Settings Storage
3. Tap Systems.db
4. Tap System
5. Scroll down the system list until you find "notifications_panel_active_list" (see photo)
6. With notification panel active list highlighted hit the MENU BUTTON on your note
7. Tap Edit record
8. Scroll to bottom of quick toggles list
9. Add quick toggle codes for whatever toggles you want to activate with apostrophe in between each toggle ...ie ;mobiledata;hotspot; ect (full list below)
10. Once you've added the codes for the toggles you want...double check everything then click SAVE
11. Reboot
12. Enjoy the new toggles

Known Bugs for VZW Safestrap Version:
Signal Bars won't Show. Still get 4g but wont show Strength. Theres apps available if you must know in the the Playstore.
In Aroma Installer Avoid the Material Design Theme Choice or the Alternate Dialer Theme choice and the System Note 4 Upgrade choice in the options menu - might work but usually these choices result in a stalled boot
If ROM doesn't boot within 8 Minutes (yes it takes a long time inital boot up!) then try reinstalling with less options!

Donate to us by using links a little ways up the page while you install the ROM in Safestrap 3.75+ over a freshly created ROM Slot!
Flash your System Modules in Safestrap (NC2 Modules should be baked into the ROM so Reset once Aroma is done is fine!)
Then Reset Phone and wait initial bootup is slow

Something that I noticed with the APN, at the end has an option called "Bearer" that you have to select LTE in order to get data, maybe sounds dumb, but I was getting crazy asking myself why I didn't have data :laugh:

Pretty impressive port/rom , i did notice that some selected stuff from aroma does really select though, like when i click the 0% transparent mod, it still installs it, or some apps I unchecked so it doesnt install, but it still installs, but no big deal, i can easily delete those , i was also having MMS issues, not sure if its because im on the L720T, im currently working on a T version tho so amma report back if i get things working on this side

Did anyone try to edit the build.prop with the correct phone name/model to try to fix the visual voice mail. This is what I had to do on other ports I've tried to make it work.
I dirty flashed this on top of stock OA3. Boot loop after first reboot. Fixed by a factory reset in TWRP. Up and running now. I'm glad Spark wheel is still here.
Antutu score （tested 3 times）: 30577/30188/29992. The score seems lower than stock.
I think the exchange / email app might have some issues with it. I posted the problem in the Q&As thread but I wanted to make sure Sacs knew of this bug and if others had the same problem. After having it request "The server outlook.office365.com must be able to remotely control some security features on your device. Continue?", and I click Ok, I get "Unfortunately email has stopped". So for now I am just using the Outlook app for my work email, but sadly it doesn't sync the calendar and contacts to the native android apps, but other than that the ROM is working great, so far battery life is just as good as Sac's other ROMs.

Edit-reporting back after doing a rebuild on the L720T, so far edited the build.prop to match the T, edited the framework.res.apk/eri.xml to match our stock, got MMS working, I also switched to our stock kernel, just for stability reasons, I love KT but im very cautious with the T version, so far I got a pretty stable build with network fully funtioning, can update PRL/Profile, so consider me a happy camper , thanks again to the original dev, sacs & who ever contributed
Only thing is that I still cant fogure out how to turn off the transparent mod, I think its causing some checkboxes via settings to be missing, so theirs alot of blind settings to miss & hit with

If your talking about the one that looks like it has an N in it, Toggle NFC off.

Correct, I decompiled, edited the eri.xml with one of out NG5 stock then recompiled & im better off just sending you the build I made lol

Additional information about Arcus
Statusbar tab: new icons for the statusbar will be applied. There is one variant for each color.
Navbar tab: after installing this variant go to the Themes menu of your ROM then select this Arcus Variant and ONLY APPLY the navigation bar! Otherwise the default (blue) theme will be applied.

Awesome theme! It looks fantastic on my phone even though it's not AMOLED. Especially loved the status bar icons and quick settings tiles. It's something different that I haven't seen. Please add more apps as soon as possible. I also have a few issues.... The font as shown in the screenshot didn't get applied instead another font got applied. I think it's roboto condensed. And the theme didn't show up in arcus. Could you tell me the name of the font so that I can download and flash it and have the entire experience of the theme?

Yes I don't want to only invert the stock UI. Many icons have been customized for a really new user experience.
4 new apps are almost finished so they will be available in the next update.
Custom versions from Arcus will be also available for all colors. It will allow users to change the statusbar and navbar icons. Some people don't like custom icons or small icons.
About the font it's not an issue. Actually I was testing several fonts when I saved the screenshots. This font is LT Oksana.
As for Arcus you have to install the Google Play version.

I do have arcus installed from the play store. I even tried reinstalling it but the theme still doesn't show up in arcus. Anyway don't sweat over it. I don't need arcus support for this theme that desperately because black painting is amazing as it is.
Waiting eagerly for updates!

Also, there is a bug: poweramp controls are invisible on the lockscreen and in notifications, as they are black too. Can you fix this?

Actually I don't plan to update the free version. This apk is available for new users to test Black Painting on their device.You could install the Play Store (+microG) to download the updates (that's what @Primokorn does).
Concerning Poweramp, go to Settings (Poweramp app) > Look and feel > Status Bar/Notification > Uncheck "Inverse Notification Colors"

Thanks for the info, though it's a bit sad that it will be available only on GP. I don't want to install extra apps and services, unless really necessary. Also, GP is not flexible in payment methods.
Thanks for the idea how to fix it, I didn't find "Inverse notification colors" line, but there was another one to select notification colours.

Sorry but I don't know any other solution to provide a paid theme. You can still create a fake Gmail account if it's for privacy purpose.
Glad to know that you found a solution for Poweramp.
Black Painting is now available on XDA Labs!
Updates will be the same as Google Play.

I've been on nexus phones and oneplus phones for years and I really love the icon design of the status bar on stock android and these new icons on Samsung one UI are very ugly to me.
Is there any way to change them without root?
Maybe with ADB somehow?
I tried those finicky apps on the play store but they don't work smoothly.
