Is it possible to recover my bootloader unlock key? (Nokia 8) - Nokia 8 Questions & Answers

Hey! So I have unlocked my bootloader long time ago using the official method and I forgot to unlock critical... I still have the email with bootloader unlock key from HMD but when I press on download it shows me this: (see in the pictures)... I really need to unlock critical because I need to use NOST to flash stock firmware... HELP!

I suppose that unblocked bootloader is not a prerequisite for flashing official firmwares. It is safe on locked bootloader.
There is a Q&A section for asking questions. Let's abide by the rules dear.

[Q] Does MoKee ROM requires Unlock Bootloader?

I am not allowed to post on MoKee thread so I will post my question here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761807
I am not a newbie and have been following XDA for 6 different devices and more than 5 years. But I just didn't post enough.
I am currently on SONY Xperia ZR (C5502) 4.4.2 (rooted). I have been trying to flash MoKee 4.4x for the past few weeks but in vain. I bricked my device few time already by trying and have to revital it with all kind of tools (Flashtool, Sony Update Service, fastboot).
I guess now my question is - "Does MoKee ROM requires Unlock Bootloader?" In the last post of that thread, someone said that it MUST be Unlock Bootloader. Is that true? The only reason I care so much about this is because I screwed up my device every time I unlocked it.
I was using the "fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY" method.
I am currently using 10.5.A.0.230.
Your answer will be really appreciated.

Yes just like any other rom out there you will need an unlocked bootloader. The reason is because you have to flash a custom recovery such as CWM and to do that you need to unlock your bootloader. I recommend unlocking you bootloader using flashtool instead of the command. Because it is just easier. When I was trying to unlock my bootloader I experienced problems doing it the way with the cmd. And what problems does it give you after unlocking and how does it screw your device? Thanks!!
PS: Try flashing a custom recovery because maybe your bootloader is already unlocked.:good:

I have installed -=[XZDualRecovery]=- with locked bootloader, so I don't think the reason is about the flashing of the recovery, maybe is something related with kernel flashing. but I'm not sure.

Yes, I have confirmed that it REQUIRES Unlock Bootloader to install MoKee.
I unlocked my bootloader with Flashtool this time, instead of commend line this time. That fixed the problem I used to have.
But I used the CWM comes with XZDualRecovery to install MoKee 4.4.4. It works out fine.

CANNOT UNLOCK BOOTLOADER please help

hey i cannot unlockbootloader in service info bootloader not allowed which frimeware i can unlock bootloader?
hi there,
if the phone says in the service menu bootloader unlock allowed no means it cant be unlocked but that means you can still install a custom rom which should say LBL rom. Follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/general/guide-flashing-custom-roms-ultimate-xsp-t2888579

Go to Xperia website, and search Unlock Bootloader, there you can select Xperia SP and see the number code type it on your cell phone to see if your cell can unlock the bootloader ( My English is more less bad, sorry for this I am Brazilian )

If it says "no." you can't unlock it. You can install custom ROMs as long they are stated that are for Locked Bootloders. Do not attempt to flash a ULB ROM onto a Xperia SP with a LBL because it will soft brick your phone. Attempting to unlock the bootloader when the the status says "no" it's not recommendable and could hard brick your phone.

As mentioned above, if the phone says "no" or doesn't say anything at "bootloader unlock allowed:" thing, then there's no way around that. You can still get custom roms though. There are some roms that will work with locked bootloaders.
Pro tip: Always buy generic phones if you want the best from xda. Always check what you're going to buy.

Long time ago i saw a thread that a user was telling that he wasn't able to unlock the bootloader when he has using certain ftf files. It is pretty strange actually.
Try to downgrade your phone, maybe installing kk and try again mate.
Maybe this will help if you already don't know it. Take a look here. Way old that thread but maybe still guilty.

Post #2 says you have to be on stock kernel to relock your bootloader.

Hi, sorry that this is old, but I've had my XT1900-5 for a few months and want to start rooting it finally. But I haven't bothered much because of the issue I've read about unlocking this bootloader. What signed ROM etc. ? Any help to get me started would be useful.
no complexity, just follow the instructions in moto website , copy the code properly(use the moto recommended tool for accuracy) & you are good to go,for twrp & root see the forum.

Relock bootloader VOG-L29

Hello
I purchased the device of the title already unlocked and would like to return it to stock rom and lock the bootloader but I don't have the unlock code. I followed a guide found here using an otg cable and a pendrive to return to stock in hopes that it would also lock my bootloader but it did not. The procedure completed successfully twice, 1st going from .178 to .185 and second attempt from .185 back to .178. Every time the phone was factory reset but the bootloader remained unlocked. Any ideas on how to relock the bootloader on this thing without having the unlock code?

That's very strange, service firmware always lock bootloader but in your case it can't. Anyway I have two suggestions for you first go to developer option and uncheck OEM Unlock option then try dload.
Second is try this method Thread Link Click here. Third and last use erecovery for stock firmware restore.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks,

Hi did you tried above methods? What's the result? If not try TWRP tool which I've suggested you.
Another guide for you follow this link CLICK HERE.
I personally advise don't lock bootloader, if you don't know code ask your seller for it.
Thanks,

Hi. I'm in the same situation. I have a Huawei P30 Pro that came with an unlocked bootloader. The yellow message at startup is really disturbing. I would like to relork the bootloader but in vain. The fastboot oem relock command does not work. I flashed the firmware in ota and also by erecovery but nothing works. Recently I noticed on the back of the phone the inscription NOT FOR SALE. I don't know if it has anything to do with it or not.

Hi guys,
Sorry for this stupid question but how do you check your bootloader status on this device?
fastboot oem relock command need oem bootloader code.
you can try with full ota upgrade via OTG via Dload metod. long press the volume up key + volume down key + power button.
Choose the right firmware ,same country of your PHone (example europe C432).
But you are very lucky to have an P30 pro unlocked...don't relock.....
