I seem to be going blind, where is the real life review forum for the s21 ultra?
We dont have the honor of getting a properly set up section like stock S21. People are posting things there for Ultra even because of it so...I would look there.

Thanks I thought I was losing my mind. What's happened to xda? The s21 ultra is the more premium of the lot, surely it should have had its own section!

They might want to combine it like S20/20+/S20u, or they will eventually fix it maybe. At least we arent the five people in S21+ section lol
Still hasn't been sorted. I thought the ultra is more popular.

I was really impressed by the nexus 4 as it has some very great specs.
But the #1 REASON why I am buying the Nexus is the $300 price tag.
It's unlocked and unlock has always been a big feature for me/...

Why do you have to be rude about it? Why can't you just avoid clicking on this thread rather than going out of your way to comment your displeasure? Not every single thread here has to pander to your own desires.
OP has a legit question. Yes, it has been answered before, but firmware updates can always change recommendations so it is more wise than not to ask about a device's current state rather than rely on old threads.

Totally agree with you. Having spent many years on this forum, there appears to be a growing trend towards the " another thread like this?" Or the age old classic "use the search feature before posting" yada yada yawn yawn. I think it normally stems from those that end up getting a bit too big for their boots. It really is so simple, don't like thread ignore, it will then disappear off the bottom of the screen. It's a shame that those with such skill don't get this concept, but instead resort to generally being a bit obnoxious.
Now to answer the OP in a sensible manner...
Yes I think the GG is worth it if you like your gadgets. It really is most definitely for me not something you really need. It is however something you really want. It is on the one hand the most unnecessary gadget of all time, but at the same time the most fabulous tech toy you could imagine. I love mine and I'm really glad I bought it.
If you can afford it then do it- put it down to a Christmas extravagance!!!

There is a app called Samsung phone info that would confirm that your phone is legit. If it's s refurbished phone.
All though the clone they can be tricky but I heard the spend is a dead give way. I only buy phones from a trustworthy store I would never buy a used phone unless I just wanted it for parts
You can do a search in youtube, there are many videos reviewing/comparing clones, fakes, knock offs, etc. , do you suspect your device is not genuine?

Recovery mode
Samsung clones are pretty obvious, very easy to tell the difference, even down to the box. Check YouTube, videos of clones are always posted for all popular model Samsung phones.

He just asking a question. I really not sure why he is asking maybe he was looking at one used and don't want cheated wants to know what to look for. There are games everywhere. You got to know what to look for. If he never seen a note 8 in person I can see one getting fooled

This is a site for all people all ages noobs or veterans alike...This is how most of us learned android......

Obviously the clones have been getting better over time, my question was geared towards people that have seen a clone in person, I haven't seen either so I wanted to be cautious since my primary market is the used cell phone one

This is the exact reason I posted the question, I usually buy used and didn't want to get scammed since I haven't seen a real note 8 in person

Right about what? So, you think of you as a teenager or tech savvy , the only types that can perfectly identify a clone device? Then clearly you must be a teen, and obviosly have not seen as much in this world, as other "older" or non tech savvy have
How to tell if it is a clone!!!
Look at sim tray. If not flush, beware. Next go to recovery. If you see fast boot hand it back. Also look for build number and tap to see if you see USB debugging in dev options. Just my 2 cents.

Dont ask me why... This is also for the s21 and s21+ forum... But some people will see s21 (ultra) and think this is the forum for every s21... Also battery section full of other phones...
