ADB default allowed (without checking /data/misc/adb/adb_keys) in stock 47.2.A.11.228-R3C - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Questions & Answers

Hi guys
Using 47.1.A.2.324 / 47.1.A.16.20 (stock oreo) android works correct -> after enabled "developer -> usb-debugging" the device asks me to allow the remote-computer...
But, if i flash 47.2.A.11.228 i get adb access DIRECT at the first boot (usb-debugging is on without enabling developer-settings).
Flushing the "stored keys" dont help...this is a major security-problem and of course.. TWRP isnt working because it cant find the keys.
JFI: i dont see the "Debugging-Notification"-Switch to enable the verification-dialog in the settings
Flashing it back to oreo and it works again (just for oreo).
A "adb logcat |grep adb" gets:
Spoiler: use-keys

So i ask myself "where is the key stored, or if he isnt stored, why the devices dont ask my to allow/store the new remote-computer".
And it doesnt matter which stock-rom i flash... i used "emma" and "newflasher" with different pie-roms.
Strange...

Yeah, I pretty much know whats going on, I may have the wrong lib_runtime and android policy, also may be a faulty kernel. From the log you can tell it finalises boot, it has all the scripts but there are a few errors, that I know cant be errors.
system/lib/libnetcmdiface.so - look like that lib isn't there
camera drivers might be wrong - use the CM10.1 drivers
and looks like some of the /etc scripts aren't working properly and some .conf files aren't present.
I'd have to flash the rom and have a physical copy to mess with to tell you more.

@sickkside13, @skeevydude and I are working on this port, hes helping me alot. He says (I deleted the email, so don't quote me.) that we will have a build from source probably by tomorrow or the day after.
Nice

I still gotta tweak our device\vendor repo (if its anything like PA, which it seems to be, should only be a few lines). Hard part will be making a vendor/rootbox repo for us -- just gonna base it on a Nexus and start playing the follow the makefile game . Due to the way our CM10.1 repo is set up -- our only custom repos are for kernel, device, and device vendor -- the very minimal necessary -- roms like this & PACMAN shouldn't be that hard to make for us from source. Atrix HD and GSM Razr HD anyways...don't know much about CDMA roms.
Depending on time, I should have the necessary changes and additions done today. I gotta go with the bossman on a bid and to pick up some materials today --- not sure how long that'll take. Gotta go 20 miles one way from town for the bid, 40 miles the other way for materials (60 miles from the bid).
Waiting for this, looks good

Just finished everything and starting the first compile. Been going for 10 minutes now. Hopefully it'll finish. :fingers-crossed:
If it goes well, sources should be on github this evening and my tweaked vendor and device repo should just work with the PacMan sources. PacMan should just need some qinara vendor/pacman config and make files. Root and Pac both use a modified PA style build system, I've done a bit of PA in the past so, and luckily, doing these tweaks\making the necessary vendor make files is nothing new to me.
Plan is to do Unofficial Atrix HD RootBox. If this works, then I'll do the same for Razr HD. Once all that's done I'll move on to PacMan.
I'm also going to add, before all you guys start giving me the same BS you've been giving Codex, that all I'm doing is taking the razr-qcom dev team repos and making them compatible with other projects. All the actual development will either be via the dev team's CM10.1 kernel or whatever project's dev team. That's not saying that I won't add in any fixes or whatever myself, just that most of what I'm doing is combining other peoples hard work for our benefit.
//20 minutes compiling and goind strong

Thanks for the Razr HD love!
Didn't compile, had some errors with tcpdump, removing it and trying again.

Was having some defconfig issues with the kernel. Resolved them and starting over. It was crappin out around 35 minutes, so once 10:00 central hits I'll be farther along in the process anyways

Was having some defconfig issues with the kernel. Resolved them and starting over. It was crappin out around 35 minutes, so once 10:00 central hits I'll be farther along in the process anyways

How long do you think it'll take to build? Four, seven hours?

From start to finish? Defy CM10.1 takes an hour an a half, so this should be between an hour an a half to two hours...providing it finishes.

Even if it is buggy I'd at least like to get it set up and compiling so that when its not buggy all the leg work is already done.

And when I am building,it always showed that: The API version is out of date, use Xlint to recomplie(In fact I am a Chinese and the massage is in Chinese,I translate it you to understand it),but the JDK version is 1.6.0.33,it is suitable to build kitkat, right?
I hope you answer,please.

Suddenly fails to find any network operators

My son's Moto X with unofficial Lineage OS 13 has been working just fine until today, when it suddenly stopped finding any network operators. The SIM card is still recognized, I may enter the pin, but then it says "No service", and when I go to network operators choice, I find that not a single operator is displayed.
I tested the SIM in another phone, it seems to be fine. I also inserted different sim, which I know to work into this phone, but that did not help.
This is what I get from adb logcat, but I can't make sense of it:

Could it be that suddenly the hardware has become faulty? Does anybody have suggestions how to test for the cause?
Thanks very much in advance!!!
Did a factory reset, which did not solve it. Still no network operators found.
Trying to understand the problem. logcat reveals that when it scans for networks, something goes wrong:

Can someone enlighten me, what CSS stands for?

This "Generic failure" sounds spooky to me. As if something about the hardware is broken.

Did a factory reset, which did not solve it. Still no network operators found.

Have you tried restoring to the stock firmware? If not, try the following commands in fastboot mode first:
Code:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Additionally, in the Phone app, you may dial *#*#INFO#*#* (*#*#4636#*#*) to obtain more information about the device's network.

Yes, but that also did not help, so I returned to LineageOS again.

I am not clear what that does. Seemingly, it erases two partitions. Is their content rebuilt after? Are those two partitions shipped with the custom rom? I did several google searches and each time I found it accompanied by the instruction to flash something else in the next step. So before nuking a partition I certainly would want to know., but so far I have not found an explanation of the partition layout.

I know. There it says it has no cellular network. As the logs I posted indicate, something goes badly wrong while searching for cells.
Tried it now, after a backup, but it did not change the situation. The sim card is recognized, but "no service" remains.

The fastboot commands clear the modem cache, and the cache regenerates on boot up.
Unfortunately, it looks like your issue is hardware-related. Which method did you use to restore to the stock firmware?

Which really would be a first time for me. I never saw the GSM module of a phone suddenly fail. My son insists that nothing had happened..
Yesterday, after reflashing the stock firmware yet again, I shortly got a very weak signal, and then, after I went to manual operator selection, it immediately went away again and stubbornly remained absent since.

TWRP (adb sideload). I am not sure whether the image is flashable via fastboot.

As a last resort, I would suggest locating the full stock firmware for your device and follow the included instructions (if any) to flash it via fastboot, or at the very least, flash the fsg.mbn and NON-HLOS.bin for your device as listed under Modem Firmware in this thread. Instructions for flashing are included in the downloaded archive.

I reflashed them but as a result, the sim card is no longer recognized, rebooted several times.
Update: Reflashed lineageOS and now I got my sim card back, although still not connecting to the network. Reflashed the stock firmware with twrp (not sure how this would be done via fastboot), I got my phone to re-connect to the network for a few seconds, which made me jump up and down in excitement, but then the connection dropped again, before I could even make a phonecall
Update 2 Tried a different sim card, but again, when I try to register automatically, this is what I see:

Needless to say it fails.

Data encryption on custom rom not working

Hi,
when I start the data encryption, the green droid appears for a second, then the UI restarts and everything is like before - unencrypted.
I've got this output in logcat:

I tried several roms (AICP, OmniRom, BlissRom), all of them crash with the same error from cryptfs.
Before installing the first rom (coming from Stock MIUI 11.0.6 European) I deleted the data partition (not just wipe) using twrp-3.4.0-0-raphael-mauronofrio.img. After that I had to flash a new vendor image fw-vendor_raphael_miui_RAPHAELEEAGlobal_V12.0.1.0.QFKEUXM_68e06ebeaa_10.0.zip in order to be able to install AICP.
All three roms seem to be working so far, but all three of them without encryption.
Because I read somewhere that there have been error with the correct size of the data partition, maybe someone with working encryption can get me his block count with tune2fs from sda31. Mine is 29136891.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem are highly welcome.
Regards,
Daniel

decryption fails after TWRP restore

I've just tried to dirty flash an update, which failed, so restored a backup I made prior, restoring system, vendor, data and boot partitions. Now the phone doesn't boot properly and after looking at the boot logcat it looks like the cause is that the decryption fails-
Code:

Strangely though, twrp can decrypt the data partition just fine.
And also, I don't really get why after restoring from a backup this would happen, I thought that essentially the phone state would basically be the same as before I did the backup after restoring, provided I don't format data or mess with the fs in any other way. Does anyone know why this might happen and could explain to me?
