Need Help Rooting my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935T - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Snapdragon) ROMs, Kernels,

Hey XDA Developers,
I’ve been trying to root my s7 edge on oreo 8.0.0 through odin and when I try to flash twrp on it, it says SECURE CHECK FAIL : recovery.
Tried downgrading and failed in that too , says SW REV Check Fail : [boot] Binary 11 Fused 4.
Please help me out experts!

Well, it seems like you're already on Binary 11 (BL11?) , I used https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-s7-s7-edge-unroot-easy-updated-02-09-2020.4048237/ step but it supported up to BL10 I guess which was what I have and it works flawlessly in minutes.

I assume that you're trying to root using engboot method. And you are on Bootloader 11. As per my knowledge, there's no engboot for Bootloader 11 till now. And there's no way to downgrade.
So you can't root it at the moment. You'll have to wait until engboot comes out for b11.

I'm having the exact same issue. I bought my phone unlocked and model SM-G935U. How do I check what BL I'm on?

Same errors during root attempts so seems to be on BL 11. Anyone know how to confirm this? Is the "Binary 11" in the error message a confirmation of BL 11? Any solution yet?

Any luck on rooting the stupid G935T (BL 11) ? or is it condemned for good?
Seeing as it's been a while, has anyone successfully got TWRP and therefore a nice custom ROM ?

I think it is better to prevent user to downgrade their Phones. As you know, since Android 5.1.1 released, Google replace the Samsung Reactivation Lock with their Factory Reset Protection. But in the lower versions of the android, there is many way to bypass this protection on Samsung Devices. Samsung fixed it on their security patches. Just imagine that if user can downgrade their phone to any version of android, when a thief steals the phone, they can easily to bypass it and make the phone become theirs.
Thank you for replying but I am still clueless if I can downgrade that specific android version I showed in screenshot above.
no one?
Have you tried TEKHD's stock-rooted 5.1.1?
You cannot downgrade... Once bootloader is upgraded there is no way back. You can try but highly you'll end with bricked device ... Also if you try custom roms they wont boot due to mismatch bootloader and recovery. Maybe if you search google you will find a way to do it but if i was you i would not take the risk

Bricked stuck samsung screen SM950F/DS

I tried to root my phone and failed. The phone is stuck on trying to boot up. I have tried to download the firmware files and recover but keep getting an error with it. I have no idea what to do from here and feel so stupid for doing this.
Exact model of the phone SM950F/DS. the phone is also unlocked to all networks

Can anyone help
..
The firmware you trying to flash is to old. I could bet, you are already on Oreo firmware. That firmware you try to flash is an old nougat firmware with old boatloader. And you can't downgrade the bootloader. That's the reason why the flash process failed.
Use the latest available Oreo firmware for your country.
Edit:
And don't select re-partition in Odin!

Are you using the latest Odin when trying to flash the filmware? (Needed for Oero)
The rooting function properly failed and has locked your device into Downloading Mode. You could try and take your device to a Samsung Service Center. They maybe able to help you.

OEM unlock toggle grayed out after emui 9 upgrade

I'm in a bit of a pickle here.
I have ran the update for emui via twrp
Then ran clean system os reset
In fastboot menu the Phone is unlicked but other one isnt.
OEM unlock inf grayed out says to contact to network which i am. Twrp is no longer installed and im unable to downgrade or even re-root the device.
Any ideas?
Would have recommended to read the various threads about Emui 9 already posted here before you decided to upgrade. Currently there is no working twrp and no working root available for Emui 9. It is easy to brick the phone if you try to force install twrp and root it.
OEM unlock is now disabled by default on all Huawei phones running Pie to discourage rooting.
For the time being just use the phone as it is. If you really want to downgrade then there is guide here:

Nice one thanks a lot.
I have unlocked the bootloader prior to upgrade, does that mean that it's locked again?
Never do factory reset on pie. It's written everywhere.

Hello everyone, I have a problem, if you can help me, I want to put the rom stock of android 8 but when I put the 4 odin files it stays in "Nand writer start" and does nothing else. I have flashed many phones but never I had this problem. The mobile is not rooted or anything strange, it has the factory Android 9 ROM.
I have tried odin 3.09,3.10 and 3.10.7 and the problem persists.
What can happen?? :crying::crying:

I'm assuming you're trying to downgrade to a version with a lower bootloader version/number, which you can't do
You can only downgrade to the version with the same bootloader number.
So I can't downgrade to the android version 8?
did you tried with another tool?

Yes. I tried with odin 3.09,3.10 ,3.10.7, 3.13 and another ROMs the sammobile :crying:
The bootloader is locked in Pie after each OS update to prevent us from downgrading the OS on our devices.
Could this be the solution?

read up all about downgrading bootloaders( its not possible). check what your phone currently has then check what youre flashing. the 5th character (number) starting from the right when checking firmware build is the BL revision.
u can flash an equal or greater build. not a lower one.
also only 3.11.x and 3.13.x and future odin versions work on note 9 to flash firmware files.
in the picture u posted, your issue is the odin build.( ure using and old 3.09.x build)
while rooting might alow you to flash a custom rom(oem unlock is the 1 step to rooting) that is oreo based, not sure why one would want to do this. Q is just around the corner and keeping devices up to date now a days should be paramount.
Thank you very much.
I tried this to unlock the OEM and it forces you to format the smartphone completely, it doesn't work.

What firmware are you trying to downgrade from?
It would help if you could post more details to allow the community to figure out your problem and help you.
BTW, If your bootloader is higher than the firmware you're trying to downgrade to, then the process will fail. I'd start by double checking that.

First:
I flashed the latest Firmware available from SAMMOBILE.
this firmware
Now I want to downgrade to this firmware
Reason: some of my apps have incompatibility issues..
Thanks
What you are trying to do is not possible, as that would imply a downgrade of de bootloader.
Your firmware G998BXXU4BULF, cannot be replaced by G998BXXS3AUJ7.
Note the underlined/bold numbers above, which indicate bootloader version.
You cannot flash firmware with lower bootloader number, as already stated bij @enigmaamit.
Report your issues with apps to the app-makers, they should update their app to be compatible with Android 12.
