Question Toggle S Pen in Quick Panel? - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Got the S pen but only use it for taking notes maybe once a day if that. Is it possible to toggle it on/off in the quick panel? I'd like the digitizer to be off to save battery. I guess the real question is - is there any way to add custom buttons to the quick panel that can toggle system settings? Does Good Lock do that?

AFAIK not available in stock rom.
You must root and "manipulate" system toggles or install a custom rom with this feature.
I read about options to change the action of the s pen button tap:

And here is a thread about this missing "disable s pen" button:
Disable button on stylus
I forget the name of the button on the stylus that launches the wheel thingy, but it would be great it it could be disable completely. I use Lecturenotes and it's great that I can disable the wheel pop up, but I can't disable the button...

Unfortunately there isn't an option.

[Q] Lots of Questions about everything !

Hello I have lots of questions
1) is there a way to make active display or tap to wake up phone?
2) on my previous phone if I clicked on the volume key button the phone would turn on?- can I do it on here?
3) there are many more apps like contextual services and lots of other Motorola apps. Which are safe to disable?
4) is there a way to block OTA updates?
5) when you swipe down using two fingers you get the notification pull menus. But when I click the wifi button it opens the settings app and goes to wifi. Can't I edit it so it goes DIRECTLYY to. Toggle wifi?
6) pin on lock screen - on my old phones when I input my pin it unlockes. This is so stupid and takes more longer after inputtingmy pin. I then have to click enter? How do I automate that
1) You can use AcDisplay. You can't tap to wake the phone, a custom kernel would be required for that.
2) Not by default.
3) I leave Assist, Alert, Audio effects, Help and Migrate disabled. I don't know about the rest, but those are safe.
4) Just don't install them. I don't know if you can disable the alerts though.
5) Hold the wifi button . Works with other settings as well, try it out.
6) Well, you could try using an app that replaces your lockscreen which has this feature, such as the Home Screen Lock of Smart App Lock. By default you can't though.
Hope I helped.

I assume you are using Lollipop. The wifi-icon and the SSID are two seperate buttons. Tapping the icon switches wifi on/off. Tap on the SSID and it will take you to settings
I've found that long-pressing the wifi button will toggle it on and off.

How do you disable multi window on the S6?

As you can see I did search this topic...can't even find an answer on google. Which worries me...
Often, I'll swipe down from the notification bar which turns the app I'm viewing, if capable, into a multi window view. This is incredibly annoying. Coming from the Note 4, there was a quick toggle (or in settings) to turn this off. I can not seem to find how to turn this function off with the S6. Any help out there?
I was just going to post the same question How the hell do you turn off that annoying multi view crap?
I wanna know this as well and how do I turn off the lightof the back and the cent button also?

I mean the back button and recent button, it lights up as soon as you touch the screen, there was an option to turn this off in S5.

I think I saw some settings for it in "/data/data/<settings provider, whatever its called>/ <blah>.db" (can't remember the exact name). So if you have root and sqlLite Editor you might try looking there
UPDATE: this database is the one I'm talking about:
then click on Data
Then click Data Aagin
Then Click com.android.providers.settings
then click Databases
CLick Settings
Click System

I do have root...so this will take remove the multi window? Considering we just got twrp I may just wait for a custom ROM lol
I found the new MultiWindow gesture pretty annoying. On my S6 every time I swept down on the notification bar using one hand I'd always create a floating window. On other Galaxy devices there is a Quick Toggle to turn the MultiWindow feature off/on. The ability to control the feature is still in the S6 however it is not exposed in the user interface. I wrote a small application that can either enable/disable MultiWindow or bring back the MultiWindow Quick Toggle. It was primarily written for the Galaxy S6 however it should work on most of the devices that include Samsung's MultiWindow. Look for "MultiWindow Toggle for Samsung" on the Play Store.

[Q] Smart pull down notification xposed

Hi guys!
I'm on stock 5.1 and I miss only on feature from cm based rom: smart pull down notification (if there aren't any notification, pulling down is opening the toggles ; if there are notifications, pulling down is opening the notifications).
This option used to be available on gravity box for kitkat, but not in lollipop.. Is there a way or an additional module to obtain this feature?
Thanks a lot!!
Check out the app LMT PIE. Amongst many other very useful things, it has what the dev calls "invisible swipe areas." I use one in the center to to fully open the notification drawer. You can set one on the top right to open the quick controls. It's not exactly what you describe, but you can always get the view you want just by pulling down from the preselected area.
There is an option under QuickSettings management in GravityBox to pull down the toggles using the right or left edge of the notification bar. It doesn't work exactly like smart pulldown but it's a decent work-around.
thanks guys
but i really like to have smart pull down.. i think i'll have to try back cm12.1!

Quick Toggle for Noobs to Use My Phone

Does anyone know any easy way I can toggle the following settings all at once?
-turn off hardware navigation keys
-turn on software navigation keys
-turn off lock screen or (preferably) don't require PIN/fingerprint to unlock
I ask because I often find myself having to talk my parents/friends through using my phone while I'm driving, and they don't know my PIN and can't see the navigation buttons at the bottom of my phone because I have the backlight turned off.
On my OPO, which was not-encrypted, I was content with simply disabling the PIN requirement by using a CM profile, but on my OP3T that option is grayed out (because it's encrypted, right?). I would also just use 2 QS tiles to enable the NavBar and disable the hardware keys.
Anyone know a more efficient method?

Did you find a good solution for this? I would really like to be able to switch between these modes with a quick toggle somehow. Any suggestions?

I haven't found anything. If there are terminal commands to enable or disable any of these settings maybe you could do it with Tasker.
I might look into that, but it seems like more work than I'm interested in.

Fingerprint Scanner: Lockscreen useless

With the fingerprint scanner's ultra fast response, entering the home screen is very quick. Thus, the lockscreen is rendered useless. Is there any way fingerprint scan opens the lock screen instead of the home screen just like how the iPhone implements it?
The fingerprint is for unlocking, so why showing the Lockscreen when you want to unlock. Just press the power button.
But I think it should be possible with Tasker, give it a try.
It should be useless, step back and one step more for unlocking -> loss of time.
I would like to have a option to double tap for waking the device. Just for checking notifications/time and not to press power button every damm time.
Is it possible?

Well in the lock screen, notifications are shown instantly, and looks cleaner; whereas in the home screen you have to swipe down from the status bar to access them. Apple have thought of it and so the iPhone 7 functions in this manner.
So what I'd like to see is: Fingerprint scan > double tap notification > app
Instead of: Fingerprint scan > swipe down from home screen> tap notification > app
An ability to switch to whichever sequence you want will be great.
Take a look at this.
As I already said, Tasker should be an option for your purpose.
My opinion is another than yours, I think it's very annoying what Apple did and my wife is always yelling at her iPhone because of this "feature".
I didn't have this on my previous i6s because I used to jailbreak and there was only iOS9.
The jailbreak issue was the reason for me why I leaves Apple for Huawei.
Now I have the original smart cover for my P10 and the most annoying thing of this cover is, that Huawei won't allow third party apps the access to the smart cover lockscreen, so they can display notification icons on it.
But when I want to turn on my screen I either lift the cover or, when it's already lifted, I push the power button. Even though I'm a leftie I think it's a good solution and works very well.
