Question How to put on to "silent" using the volume key? - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

From previous samsung phones, pressing the volume all the way down will turn into silent. Now i cant do it on my S21Ultra, i have to go the toggle buttons on top to keep it silent.
Anyway to use the volume keyagain?

Press volume button once which will bring volume, tap the three ... and you will be able to change volume there. That's besides the volume toggle in the quick toggles
**actually just playing around, if you go into settings>sounds and vibration>volume> and uncheck use volume keys for media, that will bring back using volume switch for silent, vibrate and etc

Welcome!

I use an app called sideActions. Some of the features are paid, but works pretty well. Allows you to bind actions to press of power button or volume buttons. I use power button long press to switch sound modes and short + long press for flashlight.

Isn't there an easier way to change sound profile?

When changing sound profile I have to go to Settings - Sound - and choose my profile. The "old" HTC Home had a profile tab. Isn't there an easier/faster way to change sound profile?
Do you mean like click the volume up\down button on the left of the phone and select silent, vibrate or change the volume?
Even easier

Go to Start->Settings->System->Long Press End Key->choose: Set Vibrate/Ringer
Nothing easier possible, but the "Shaking" method explained elsewhere here.

Do a prolonged bottom right key press and a menu will come up with one of the options being vibrate mode or ringer mode (it is a toggle).
You can also set it such that the prolonged key press toggles the two modes, rather than bring up the menu.

One-touch method to switch between vibrate and sound on?

I really miss being able to switch between vibrate and ringer/sound-on the way I did on my Kaiser, which was to hold down the camera button (or any button of my choice) for one second.
It seems on the Diamond I either have to touch the taskbar, then the sound icon, then switch it, or, go to Settings tab, then Sounds, then switch it.
Is anyone using a one-touch approach for this on the Diamond, whether it be with a hardware key or on the touchscreen?
Thanks in advance.
You can assign the end call button to switch between ringer and vibrate. Go to Settings>System>Long Key Press and you will see the option.
i just hold vol up/down to switch

notification/ringer volume sync?

After the ICS update, when using the volume buttons to turn up/down the ring volume, the notifications volume doesn't change. before, there used to be an option to lock the two together but it looks like that option is gone now. does anyone have any solutions to this?
I'm in the same boat...this is a huge fail to me!

A possible work around in the short term would be to check out the app called widgetsoid. I use it for power toggles in the notification panel but it also has it's own volume slider option that lets you link the ringer and notification volumes like before.

anyone interested or know how to change task manager hardkey to menu key

Miss having the menu key..example go to xda app and cannot pull up other options because of this ridficulous hardkey when alternatives exist for task switching. This will need remapping..have seen it done for camera and power but wondered if there is any interest in this. I do I not have a solution but am asking. Thanks.
All you have to do is long press that button and becomes menu

remapped it in case anyone is interested
think long press goes to S finder
Good work, but long press is menu, I use it all the time.

I used xposed additions module to remap it. Also mapped the volume keys, home and power buttons to change music, play/pause and activate torch respectively while I was at it.

Volume rocker mod to skip tracks for 5.1?

Is there a mod to enable this on stock rom? Thats pretty much the only thing I'm missing from custom roms, along with customizing the quick settings tiles.
Download "All in one gesture"

Works really well. Under hard keys, just define volume+ button as volume+ (as it normally is) then it gives you an option for long press choose media control and it has an option for next track. Do the same for volume-
