Can't find stock ROM for Moto G Power - Moto G Power ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other De

https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/sofia/official/ See this is the link people always send me for the stock ROM for my phone, but I don't know what folder to download. I can answer any questions you have, sorry for the lack of information.

I think if the model number is the same, they should work no problemo.
I have the T-mobile variant here in the US and I use RETUS (Retail US) version. USC stands for US Celluar, VZW for Verizon, FI for Google Project Fi, Comcast for, well, comast Xfinity, etc.

Thanks for your reply, if I bought it unlocked do I do US Cellular? Sorry, not the expert on this stuff.

Here's where I get my stock moto roms from https://t.me/s/MotoUpdatesTracker?q=sofia I also use RETUS and have no problems with it working with verizon for wifi calling and band 66. *Edit RETUS is what ships on the factory unlocked versions XT2041-4 and is supported by all 4 major US carriers.

They have actually deleted my HowTo on installing Stock firmware.

No they havent, they moved it to guides and discussion where it should be .

I see. Well alot of ppl look here to return to stock --at least that's the case with other phones-- and I wouldn't have bothered if I'd known this would happen.
BTW, 3 days and counting on Havoc 4.8, and no loss of datastream, thankfully. Looks like I have my daily driver.

This is my first Moto device and I'm not familiar with how to root these. All I know is its a Moto X Verizon exclusive (pig skin edition), I know the SIM is unlocked because I'm using it on At&t. If someone could help me by shooting me the proper links to a tutorial specific to this model phone I would seriously appreciate it. Thanks.

You cannot root it or unlock its bootloader, unfortunately. In the States only the Pure Edition can be unlocked and rooted. Also, it'll likely be a VERY long time until your model gets rooted if it ever does, and if I was a betting man, I'd go all in on its bootloader never getting unlocked. In other words, learn to love it stock because that's probably how it's going to stay.

US Cellular XT1093 can be unlocked, and does Sprint have it yet? If so, it's unlockable. I prefer to say "All variants except Verizon and ATT are unlockable" rather than "Only Pure Edition can be unlocked in the US". Plus it's less words (by one lol).

Galaxy Note 9 N9600 Official One UI/Pie Beta (No Root)

Just wondering if we can start up a discussion about the International Hong Kong model N9600 regarding the One UI / Pie Beta.
Is there any information on the pie for the N9600?
It started in Germany and US. Wondering why Asian versions didn't get it before.
Waiting or the room for N9600 too. Maybe they'll release soon a Hong Kong version
I asked that too ... seems we will have to wait for official SW
But isn't our model usually gets official updates first ? Before Europe and US?

Hi.
Has anyone tried to install the China version of Android Pie (9) with a CSC of android version 8.1?
I mean, taking out the China CSC and putting the ASA6 CSC for example.

Are international rootable note 9 phones (DS and 9600) the same for using in the US?

Hi,
I want to buy a note 9 that I can root and use in the US. I have the US version right now and I can't live with it (without root). I need the headphone jack for my car and for getting OTA radio - so the note 10 is not an option for me.
From my reading it is either the N960F, N960FD (exynos for t-mobile) or the N9600 (snapdragon for Verizon)
What I can't figure out is if I get one with the 8/512GB if all the country versions are equivalent for working on US networks
With the 960FD are all the versions the same for using with T-mobile in the USA? Do I need to worry about the country it was intended for/came from?
With the 9600 are all the versions the same for using with Verizon in the USA? Do I need to worry about the country it was intended for/came from?
Do you have any suggestions about how to make sure I get a decent one (an actual new phone instead of someone trying to cheat me)?
Do they all still ship with Oreo? I don't want to go to pie.
Thank you very much for your help and suggestions.
I've got the 9600 single sim. the boot loader is unlockable and u can root custom install if so desire. new on Amazon for around 500ish

when i originally bought the phone it came loaded with Android 8.1 all I did was pop in my sim card and go.. nothing else needed to happen. I'm on cricket wireless which is also ATT

one more thing to note my phone was from latin America. when if when you start getting into that I will find something like this in the settings.
TGY/TGY/PCT <---> Hongkong/Hongkong/Puerto Rico
these are also known as CSC. little bit of googling and ur understand a bit more
basically it equates to country codes
I changed mine to Hong Kong, because I've been messing with custom firmware and rooting. still on cricket and living in KY.

The N9600 is a dualSIM device. Are you sure that you purchased a N9600?

Question S21 Ultra GCF/GCF/VZW OTA Updates Error

So I was recently in the US on holiday and got an S21 Ultra. The US Version SM-G998U. I however only ever turned on my phone when I returned to my home country in Africa. Sadly it seems I'm cutoff from any and all OTA updates. Contacted Samsung and they said they couldn't do anything. So I researched how to flash new updates myself. Is there a way to flash my phone where I'll be able to now get OTA updates? Or I'll have to be doing it for the rest my phone's life? And when I go to Sammobile to look for the firmware file, I can't seem to find any files with GCF indicated in the name. Which firmware update can work for me based on the GCF/GCF/VZW regional code?

maybe your USB cable is the issue if it won't connect. Are you using a high quality (can fast charge) USB-A to C cable?
Verizon locks down their phones - super annoying.
Any luck with your phone? I also have GCF/GCF CSC code and no updates. In addition all files that I have tried flashing with Odin have failed

Typically, in the US, the U1 version will change CSC when you install a working SIM from a different carrier. Of course, this won't work for you since you won't have a US carrier SIM. There may be ways to force-change the CSC on Snapdragon, but I haven't found them to work.
What's weird is that your phone already appears to be a multi-CSC ROM (you can see this in the "XAA" for the CSCs there). So you don't need a new ROM, but you still need to find a way to actually force the switch. I'm not sure if that's possible.
Note that per your CSC, this was originally a VZW (Verizon) phone, and is only "currently" an SPR phone... because it doesn't see a matching CSC to work with.
Anyway, all that said, I don't believe USA phones can have native call recording either. USA laws are crazy in this regard, so I don't know if any ROM will allow that here. That being said, I have been using BoldBeast recorder on my Android 11 phone and it works great. I do believe it won't work on A12, which is part of the reason I have not upgraded my phone to A12. You may want to give that a try, anyway, to see if it can work?

i think because the company unlocked the phone for the user after he paid the full price
before that the device was locked to their career
