Question Is Mi 11 Waterproof ? - Xiaomi Mi 11

Just remembered that I watched this video the moment it got out and was lovely surprised !
Anybody can confirm this ? Should we go swimming and taking photos in the sea ?

Well, even if Mi 11 is waterproof, drop into the sea is not a good thing...
The waterproof test only guarantees resistance to fresh water, not seawater

Yeah this is right!
I also had a Xperia Z before, and i used to swim to it.
ITS NOT FULL WATERPROOF!
THE WATER MESSED UP MY CAMERA AND THE CAMERA WAS CAPTURING OR RECORDING EVERYTHING WITH BLACK DOTS OR PIXEL, WHICH WAS DIRT.
SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND USE ONLY FRESH N CLEAR WATER.

Good waterproof case?

I've never used a,waterproof case on any of my phones, and the edge doesn't have lifeproof support....would ghostek atomic 2.0 be a good alternative here? I'm never around water normally, but I love swimming and want to take some underwater videos and selfies and some storm videos as well. Any help would be great.
Good luck with finding a waterproof case for a waterproof phone
+1 for Skezza....

I already used my phone without any case in the pool and shoot some underwater videos. If this is still too risky for you. Try using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Wa...id=1478265846&sr=1-3&keywords=waterproof+case

Wow, did that work?
I have a pool, The phone has a camera and is waterproof. Voila
Sorry for this but I don't get the question
I took my Note 7 in the pool before I sent it off to die. Worked great, no indication of damage from the water.
Since I have a few GoPros I probably won't be doing that often but at least I don't have to worry about getting wet while kayaking.
That's awkward/weird... The phone is already waterproof man! ?
Well not really.. Its IP67 so you can have it under water for 30 min up to 1.5 meter IF (and this is the big if) IF you keep it steady and dont move it to create a higher water pressure.
For proper under water photage I would use a case anyway.
Bought this from Ali. Takes awhile to get. Might be cheap, but it works. Touch response isn't bad either. Phone might be waterproof, but I take mine snorkeling in saltwater. Plus with the case you can still use touchscreen underwater.

look up ghostek atomic 2.0 its a good waterproof case, yes the phone is waterproof but the case is good against scratches and falls too.

It's pretty close though. IP68, so you can pretty much take pics/vids as long as you don't keep it underwater for over 30 minutes. Samsung does give the following caveats that may justify a case:
- Audio quality will be bad when wet
- Touchscreen may not work

Recording and taking pictures underwater

Hi everyone
I am in Egypt on vacation.
Does anyone know the way to record and take pictures underwater?
Because water works on the screen (automatically zooms in and out) and you can practically not use it under water
Does anyone know if I can take out S-Pen underwater?

Watch this guy he teaches you how to lock the screen so that water doesn't mess with it
Also this guy shows that the s pen can be used underwater
Though i do not recommend that u use it under seawater... Swimming pools are ok tho
U might wanna consider putting it in a transparent plastic bag if u wish to take it deeper as it will continue to record through the transparent bag
I'm from Egypt and i welcome you to Egypt ??
Use a condom lol ?
While the Note 8 is water resistant to a certain depth. It is not recommended to keep it submerged for long periods of time. You can map one of the volume keys to act as a camera shutter button.
5 feet for up to 30 minutes. Use the volume control +/- buttons to snap and burst shot your pics.

No. The Note8 series was never meant to be waterproof like the S8 phones. Rain-proof, yes. However, it isn't rated for immersion in water. You have a better chance with a sealed zip-lock bag when you remove the S-Pen beforehand

Question It's a bit loose

I have a problem
I cleaned my Mi 11 and I noticed when I shook it easily, I heard noise inside.
If the camera was loose or the speaker.
This can not be normal, right?
Can someone easily shake his cell phone if you hear from inside noises?
The phone is 5 months old and I never fell down.
Thanks
It's the OIS.
The camera has some mobile parts so the OIS can work properly.

is it with you too?
Can anyone confirm?
I wanted to sell it and was afraid that something was broken.
I confirm the same for mine comes from the photo sensor so normal
Thank you very much! I found the same answers in Mi Forum.
Thanks

General Under water shooting

Hi everyone. I have this phone almost 10 months now. Last weekend I went swimming and decided to do crazy shooting, and took the phone underwater and started shooting amazing videos. Stunning video and audio was simply great.
Regarding phone it's self after shooting, all i did was wiping it, clean speaker (through settings) and was great to go. No fogging, no charging issues, no under screen water marks, no under camera lense water marks.
Love it love it love it.
Sorry for not sharing any samples, all videos were personal not for sharing. And didn't think to take samples for sharing.
Nice try, Xiaomi sales rep.
J/K. However, no matter how advanced tech is, I'm still very hesitant with water. It took me forever not to stress over a drop of water falling on the screen.
I'd love to see an actual video of someone doing it - taking fully submerged shots.

As you can see guys, this time I went deeper than first time, first time were great photos, went maximum 0.5m, this time I went 1.5m down. first time device had no effect at all, was great.
this time at 1.5m deep, I have foggy lenses now and put the phone in rice for night, I think I still need another 2 nights in rice until fully dry.
my advice, take a tape measure with you and hold it open at 0.5m if you want to shoot under water
nice photos and videos though, but this time did not expect foggy glass.
