Go to setting, then "about phone". Scroll to "build number" and tap 7 times on it. You should get a message saying "developer options have been activated" or something like that. If you go back you should see now "developer option" in your settings

I have already do that, I don't get anything I think that It should be anything for example to enable debug info device you need digit *#*#33284*#*#. Thanks

If you have Windows Vista or 7 you can right click my comptuer > Manage > Device Manager (or just call up device manager in xp) and look for ADB Interface.
Right Click HTC Dream Composite ADB Interface and click Uninstall.
Unplug and replug the USB and it should re-detect.
nevermind me =)
Same problems
I am having the same problems as "samrozzi".
Phone is OK with Reboot command.
Will not recognize "Setprop Persist etc".
My device manager shows (HTC Android Phone USB Device) in "Disk Drives" but nothing about ADB interface.
Also you guys are saying
"Go to Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging (check)
Settings where? On the phone? not possible without getting past the registration screen.
In SDK ?
In ADB ?
On Computer somewhere ?
I have un-installed the driver for the phone. I reconnect and turn the phone on. The computer says HTC Google phone--hardware is installed and ready to use. Then it goes away and doesn't seem to be of any further use.
Please help, my brain is starting to sizzle from info-overload.

did you install the driver
USBDeview
Try this:
- get USBDeview : http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
- unplug phone from PC
- in USBDeview delete all drivers that have anything to do with HTC
- plug phone in PC; drivers should now install correctly IF you have downloaded and installed them before
If the above procedure does not work reinstall drivers (from SDK) and start all over.

You need a HyperTerminal or other Terminal app that can connect to modem on COM port and run AT commands.
1. Connect phone by USB (phone should be on normally)
2. Enter 3845#*970# in dialer
3. Select Port Settings -> Select CP USB
4. Start hyperterminal, in COM settings select same port like in devide manager -> LGE mobile USB Serial Port, 115200bps
5. Type AT if response is not OK, change port number
6. Type at%imei, it should display your current IMEI
7. Type at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x , where x,x,x... is your orginal IMEI number
8. Change again from CP USB -> AP USB
8. Restart
You should know that in many countries changing IMEI is illegal!

p.s. i used "tutty" instead of "hyperterminal" cause of windows 7
i cant do it ....coz when i go to ur 2nd step ....it says coonection problem or invalid MMI code
P.S my IMEI is not displaying after flashing CM7 ...and i seriously want it back :|
Help rebuild imei after smartflesh tool. Now installed Zeus 2.2 + Hidden menu pack. In "Port settings" i have only three points: "Diag setting" "USB Switching" "Data Setting". "Select CP USB" - I do not have.

update: Found a shift in the "AP CP USB Switchings". Now another problem, I do not see the printed text in HyperTerminal. If i tape "at" blind to dial and press enter, see the corresponding OK.

I have the same exact problem and don't know what to do about it. I don't think you can get root as that's not really a terminal??
EDIT: i just got it to work. 2 things I did differently 1) turned off airplane mode. 2) didn't change the baud rate setting to match the one in the lg mobile modem details. probably airplane mode was the problem though . Also, I used the commas, but not one at the end.
Hello.

Hi all,
i have t-mobile g2x (aka p999dw). i followed all steps. For access to hidden menu i typed "1809#*999" (coz my device is 999dw. It appeared and i tapped to port settings. I also checked "retain cp usb after reboot" and phone rebooted. i chose correct port. and in putty i checked "serial" section, then typed comx (which my own), baud rate 115200. Everything fine. When i hit the Enter putty pops-up a window but nothing respond.

Does 'adb devices' report your device as offline? If so, you need newer adb binaries. I've created a zip with the newest adb binaries and am hosting it. I'll post a link if you'd like.
Sent from my LG-D415 using Tapatalk
In the PC connection settings theres goto connection type and in the top left corner there is a little button that looks like a download button. Hit that and it will open up on your PC as an install disc that will install the adb drivers and lg mobile support program that'll keep the drivers up to date. Then. Open the android SDK manager and make sure your platform tools are fully updated

For CM:
Go to Settings->About Phone and tap on the Build Number 7 - 8 times. You should see a Toast message popup that says "You're now a developer". Back out of About Phone to Settings. You should see a entry "Developer Options" just above "About Phone".
I haven't been on stock for many many months. If you're running stock it may be different. I honestly don't remember.

GSam battery monitor/BBS on MIUI devices

Hello guys.
I can't get the two apps in the title to work. GSam doesn't even load once opened (all set to 0:00:00 and on "loading"), and both of them reject the command from adb for advanced stats, telling me "operation not allowed [...] neither user 2000 nor current process has android.permission.GRANT_RUNTIME_PERMISSIONS."
Do you know what's going on?

[GUIDE] Enable VoLTE/VoWiFi on LineageOS 17.1 for EU carriers Oneplus 6T

[GUIDE] Enable VoLTE + VoWiFi for German and other EU carriers on the Oneplus 6T running LineageOS 17.1
Requirements:
- Phone must be rooted
- A computer running Windows to connect your phone with (Also tested Windows 7 running in Virtualbox)
- Qualcomm USB Driver (Downloadlink)
- Qualcomm PST Tool (Downloadlink)
- ADB
IMPORTANT: This can break your phone! Make a backup of your EFS Partition! This can be done with TRWP.
1)
Download and install Qualcomm USB Driver and PST Tool on your computer. Make sure, you have the adb tool as well.
2)
On your phone activate the hidden developer settings:
Settings -> About -> Build-Number (press it multiple times)
then
Settings -> System -> Devloperoptions
Activate:
Android-Debugging
Local Shell
Connect your phone to your computer.
3)
Open a shell on your computer and type:
Code:
adb shell
Watch your phone to accept the incoming connection from your computer.
Type:
Code:
su
and watch your phone again to accept root access.
Activate the Diagnostic Mode by typing:
Code:
setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,serial_tty,rmnet_ipa,mass_storage,adb
Your phone will disconnect from adb, but thats ok.
4)
On your computer open "PDC" from the installed QPST application as admin.
In the device list, select your phone.
In the upcoming list look for "Oversea-Commercial_DS", right click it and deactivate Sub0 and Sub1
Click "Oversea-Commercial_DS" again and press the Remove button.
Close the PDC Tool and open it again.
Select your phone again
Look for Telefonica_UK_Commercial, right click and SetSelectedConfig for both Sub0 and Sub1
Click on Telefonica_UK_Commercial again and click the Activate button
Close the application
5)
Unplug your phone and reboot it.
Make sure you have activated VoLTE/VoWiFI in your settings.
6)
No VoLTE/VoWIFI icon is shown in the status bar. You can check the IMS status as followed:
Open the dialer and enter the code: *#*#4636#*#*
This will open the Testing menu. Select the first entry "Phone information".
In the option "Select phone index" you can choose your sim card you want to get information about.
Then, press the three dotted menu in the upper right and select "IMS Service Status"
If it says "IMS Registration: Registered" everything is working fine. Depending on whether you are on WiFi or LTE, "Voice over LTE" or "Voice over WiFi" will be shown as "Available as well.
Enjoy!

I'm on Linux too. Qpst is a USB Modem driver and PSD is a Tool to access and alter the modem firmware on the phone.
Unfortunately these will only run on Windows. I used VirtualBox and run Windows 7 (I bought a cheap license key some time ago) on it.
So none of these tools could be helpful?

There's a space preceding ',adb', and with blindly using this command something went wrong on my Windows PC. Had to restart. 'setprop' also supports only 2 arguments.

You should put that on top, maybe make it bold and set a bigger font. It looked like a tested and working method, I just blindly followed the instructions without questioning (also a mistake on my part).
Anyway, I followed the steps successfully but cannot see if VoLTE/VoWifi is functional as there is not indicator in LineageOS 17.1. If anyone knows a way, feel free to tell.

The whole procedure was tested on my own phone. There was just one unclear thing, whether these changes survive an update of the LineageOS system. It does! So I removed this obsolet remark.

Yes, it's a pitty there's no indicator in the status bar. I've found another way to check functionality and added it to the guide.
Hope this make things more clearly.
Thx
Tried it on stock oos 10.3.6, and windows 10. Have swedish carrier Tre (Hallon).
Works great! Thanks for your guide! ?
Procedure fails on OP6 with LineageOS20, phone is not visible in PDC.
