Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag (I'll try not to use big words, because the idea is to be simple) aim at something towards elegance. We are learners just like everyone out there, This is small something we have started which helps us learn every single day. Why Stag, you might question, my answer would be why not. After all Harry's patronus was a stag(pun intended). Anyway, so the aim here is to provide a really good experience to everyone who uses, everyone on telegram channel can contact us and request, everything will be considered, because if you as users feel something missing, it obviously must be missing. So looking forward for people using our StagOS and giving us all your precious feedback.

Best rom I've used for this phone so far... I was real lucky to boot loop via. Magisck today and need Lineage so I would stumble upon this one instead. Thanks!

Ran into this error while trying to flash using fastboot mode through twrp.
After I got the error, which I got when trying to flash the system img, I went ahead and tried to flash the product img, and it went fine. Not sure if that means anything.
I havent googled the problem yet, but Im about to and if I find a solution Ill post back

Great ROM! Android 11 and selinux enforcing. Installed via fastboot (had to flash product before system as the user above pointed out. Then rebooted directly into bootloader, booted TWRP and flashed Flamegapps. You must not allow the system to fully boot then go back to bootloader/TWRP and try to flash gapps, as you will get an error.

@SunlightV2 Magisk is saying there is an su present on the system that does not belong to Magisk. What's that about?

@SunlightV2 Going to hit us with an April or May update? I'll reflash and check the warning in the post above. Thanks!

Help me, I bought a motorola g fast on ebay, I'm from Venezuela, and it's blocked by boost mobile and I've contacted them and they can't help me to release it. I ask you, installing a custom rom could I free my moto g fast?

you would have to call carrier and ask why they wont release it, as far as anyone in us i think modifying modem files and changing imei is illegal unless under very specific circumstances

How do you get the android 10 vendor

cheers,
Hey nice seeing new rom appearing! Can't wait to get back home and try this ...
EDIT: First impression is very awesome! Very Smooth.. Multirom booting works like a charm too.
The camera provided with the rom is kinda buggy (crazy refocusing when half press of the shutter button)
Please upload the screenshots.
This one was one of my favorites when i had the GS5 and the G3. Love it, downloading already.
By the way, this works great with MultiROM!
Its awesome and smooth
Happy to test this
Two questions.. Pin code entry numbers are strange because of security?
And it seems min clock is limited on 1457mhz. Is this a m5kernel v4 bug or ROM related?
i'm on stock based Moonwalker 4.4.4 as main rom with Multirom.

Just change the min clock speed. I was able to do so. Same kernel
EDIT: Some small bugs to report
1.
The quick setting screen doesn't change colour no matter what theme I set. Not sure is it due to a modified framework of the rom.
2. Unable to change the "user picture" that appears on the top right of the status bar.

I remember that on that build, you had to factory reset for the themes(*the quick settings panel to be coloured) to work (factory reset once to get it working).
Maybe it's the same case here?

Thanks! Hope to see more! Excited
EDIT: Ambient display not working properly on lift. The screen just turn dark(turns on but the screen is black).
Anyway I found this appearing very frequently in logcat(not related to the ambient display I think):
http://hastebin.com/ikujedeyuf.pas
Not sure what is it though.
I havent got much experience but I figured hey what the heck i'll give it a go!
I've only tried existenz by niaboc(?) earlier so I don't have much to compare with. The ROM seems solid so far (been running a few hours), unlocking bootloader, installing the rom, gapps and kernel (m5) went smooth.
Thanks alot for this, anxiously awaiting more updates.

Flash firmware first, after that flash rom, gapps and magisk.
Dear bro.
I have reinstall rom for review.
Have performed clean flash.
Having latest recovery.
Flash provided latest firmware before rom flashing.
First boot up time was with beta opengapps 71 seconds.
Your provided gapps were unable to flash. they give some error which i did not note.
Beta opengapps were released today was working fine .
Having following issues.
1= Check Drawer Screenshot. Where search bar is going??.
2= Dark mode can be enable only from in display settings or qs toggle. Not from in style section. Is it work in same way?
3= Accent colors. Only one color is there? Is it should be like this? In screens provided by Sharma g it show purple accent.
4= Battery percentage is showing up in status bar.
5= There is no option i found to change launcher icons and qs toggles icons shape. In screens provided by Sharma g there is different shapes shows for both.
There are also some little bit issues but they are not noticeable. Hope those issues will fixed by time in upcoming builds.
Overall rom was working fine. Its really good for first build.
Good work keep it up.
Regards...

I get issue related to /system/etc/ld.config.txt linker error. What should I do? I am using twrp 3.2.3.0
Kudos to you Shubham for keeping an old war horse alive and updated this far. Downloading builds now, will give it a try. Thanks a lot mate.
Screenshots:
Some minor issues observed so far:
1. Swipe from edges doesn't work if on screen nav bar isn't enabled.
2. Unable to change battery icon and percentage.
3. Notification sound starts suddenly sometimes.
4. Enabling dark mode black colour force stops sometimes.
Looks stable for a beta. My battery is already messed up, so can't say anything about battery life.
Magisk Hide is not hiding and the banking application is not working
Hay ,
Hope you are fine.
my zuk just bricked today morning. it just simply stuck a while and reboot.
screen was flicking. i thought there must be some corruption in system or boot storage.
i wipe all phone re flash recovery because no zip file was installing. it shows installing but when screen flicks while process its stuck.
i was looking for factory image which can be flash through fast boot.
in all this circumstance i mistakenly flash wrong img from fast boot as recovery. no my gate to boot loader are closed.
can you help me to enter in boot loader mod because i am unable to do so. or guide me to flash factory firmware to fix this issue.
regards...

~Sic Parvis Magna~
PS: for people wondering what sic parvis magna is, it translates to great endings from small beginnings, Something i picked up while playing a game.

Prblm with the SD card
When i tried to insert an SD card.,it's showing i should format the SD card to use it:crying::crying:
All my backups and data are stored in that SD card.,no other rom have asked me this.,i used havoc official and unofficial and custom miuis but none asked to format the sd card to use it
But on this stag...its troubling me...,
Please can someone give me a solution.,any other faced this issue on your phone in stag OS???
System less darkmode...
Also i cannot find the darkmode/black mode systemessly
When i enable the dark/black mode.,only the interface of settings app and notification panel are changing into dark
But the playstore.,instagram.,drive.,google photos.,all these apps are with white UI
Is it possible to insert the complete system with darkmode...which i observed in all the versions of havoc os
Silly desire..,
Bro i really love that stag VOLTE icon of this rom...
That attracted me.,you had a great creative mindwork bro...
Awesome thought of it..,i really love the whole interface of stag.,looking with much creativity
How can i copy it to your other roms..,i want to extract that volte icon to your other roms of aicp, xenon and carbon..,does it work on them...

Thanks ?. But VOLT icon is source icon so u canot use that with other Roms
Expecting an update soon....
Bro...over all i loved using the stag os.,loved your creativity of designing the interface of this stag rom...
Fix 1--no in call vol patches are supported of your thread..
On flashing the incall vol patches.,iam losing the sim card detection in this rom.,i tried all the 3 patches(2 for aosp and 1 for lineage based) but all resulted in same - loss of sim card detection
Fix 2 --expecting the dark mode for all the system apps and google apps.,this version of dark/black mode is not supporting the dark mode throught the system...
Personal prblm -- i personally faced the sd card issue.,asking me to format the sd card to use it...i didnt notice anyother one mentioned the same .,so quoted as personal prblm
Glitters of UI -- if possible fix the dialer apk UI.,the options of the incall ui are very much lower side on the scree compared to other roms or google dailer..
If possible can u include an option to install the miui apps.,i really love that incall ui of miui 11 and the mi music app(which are not supported by other roms)and i also love the camera roll app inserted in bootleggers i think.,not remembered for sure
This is what i expect bro....do only what is possible and easily workable things.,everyone will have their own different neccessities...so these are my desires and expectations on stag os.,bcoz i personally loved it among alll the roms....it had a neat UI and loud sound comparatively.,clear volume during the call..all the apps are running smoothly
Sometimes i faced an issue of face unlock (missing of face unlock option or missing of whole smart unlock option) on flashing the gapps 9.0 mini
If possible, make it compatible with the orange fox recovery 10.,for which many of the users are deadly addicted on max 2

Its just one little doubt
Since the post doesn't have any bugs section
I'm wondering if the vibration motor is working
(The other two roms i saw had a broken vibrator motor but everything else pretty stable)

Installed the rom
I installed the rom
Installation went flawless
Up until the real test
First day the rom made it through the day without problems
Next day (today that im typing this)
My phone suddenly didn't wanted to boot up
After the unlocked bootloader warning the phone kept rebooting to fastboot
Had to install stock rom to use it again :crying:
(I Have the moto g8, not the fast one)

What did you do, lol?
Before it crashed, did you install anything? (magisk module, exposed)
Vibration/Haptic fixed kernel. Flash in fastboot:

That's the thing
I wanted to keep the rom clean before doing any modifications so no magisk or xposed
Or even substratum
It just started to bootloop to bootloader

Was it the gapps included version, or the no gapps version?
On the second day, you just turned off your phone and when you turned it back on it went to the bootloader screen, correct?
What about the first day? Did you reboot at all?

I used the gapps version.
On second day i didn't reboot it
What happened is that at night (on second day)
While the phone was charging and turned on (Screen was locked)
It suddenly bootloop to bootloader
I tried using the start option (The one that boots you back to the system, in this case the rom) but it kept booting back to bootloader.
And no i didn't reboot on first day.
It was just some "hardcore" downloading apps and checking features lol.

Flash in twrp, if the text output says magisk detected, reboot.
If it doesnt say magisk detected, flash magisk and reboot.

@descarao81, Thanks for the hard work.
You didn't mention the Android version, but I assume it's 11 (from the changelog in the 2nd post - Merge April 2021 Security Patches (android-11.0.0_r34).)
I currently have LineageOS 18.1, it has 2 major flaws, and it's kind of a deal beaker...
1st, Does this ROM have an option for auto call recording?
2nd, in LineageOS, the camera has a bug that will not allow a picture to be taken in motion (I tried a few camera apps - or maybe it's just a setting that I'm missing...), does this ROM have the same problem?
Thanks

Oh, you're right, I forgot tagging the Android version! Just edited. Thanks for letting me know.
The call recording feature is present in the stock dialer. It's working while "Hey Google" (Voice Match) is disabled.
I'm not sure what pictures in motion means but I haven't experienced big issues using the camera. Sorry for not replying to your specific question.

Taking a picture from a moving car...
When you cake a picture when you are in motion, the camera freezes until you stop moving (or put the phone down), then it will take the picture, but you will not be able to get the picture that you wanted to take...

I tried 3 different apps, they all had the same problem.
I don't think it's the apps, I think something is wrong with the camera firmware (driver) in that ROM...
Hey, I've flashed this ROM and then I couldn't set a lockscreen passcode or PIN anymore. Just swipe to unlock avaible( wheter I try to set a passcode settings app just crashes ). I had same issue in other ROMS too. Anyone knows how to fix this?

I followed other posts which told me to delete
locksettings.db
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db-wal
in data/system partition, but I didn't found any files in that folder expect the locksetting.db file.
@descarao81
This ROM is awesome!
Looks nice and fast!
I didn't test the camera yet, but I hope for the best...
Just 2 little things.
1. I'm getting only 3.5mb Down and 1.2mb Up in speed tests (this is average of 4 tests)
and 2nd. Can you compile the ROM without Google Apps? (I have it installed already, so I won't re-flash the ROM again, but for future users...)
See, when the GApps are embedded in the ROM, you can't revoke permissions on certain apps...
Plus, there are a few apps (like Personal Safety - which you can't revoke permissions) that you can't uninstall (unless you do it with adb - "adb shell" then "pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.safetyhub")

Try doing Format Data.
If this doesn't help I assume your bootloader is unlocked and I suggest to lock the bootloader, reboot recovery, Format Data and reboot.
If still you're not able to set a lockscreen security method:
Install ZUI 11.5.381 using QFIL.
Boot it but don't set any lockscreen security.
Install custom recovery.
Install KangOs
This is not a KangOS issue, this happens when you unlock your bootloader without removing the lockscreen security in your previous ROM. Blame Lenovo.
And I have another problem.
Is it just me, or is the Phone app a little broken?
I don't see the actual call dialog...
I can receive calls, and I can call out, but I can't interact with the call...
I don't see the incoming call (I just hear it), and I can't hangup, mute or anything...

sorry for the silly question, i'm kinda noob . Locking bootloader in a custom ROM won't brick the device?

Welcome to Zippo, this device can run custom ROMs and recoveries with locked bootloader as long as a modified vbmeta partition is installed. This modified vbmeta is included in every custom ROM so if you're now using a custom ROM you can safety lock the bootloader, just reboot to recovery after that and Format Data else the ROM won't boot. The modified vbmeta is also included in the installation of OrangeFox using QFIL.
