Since sir you find it interesting, in simple narrative it's like national geographic channel video works like. But I work on forest structure and composition as main part along with birds, butterflies, moths, bees, other higher animals etc.,
Once We are there, we don't know what we will come across but we do! In that context this 108mp phone is handy I mean it's everything.
Thanks

Needs size, color and firmness sliders
That would be SO Weird Science!
oh man someone better port this over!! lol
oh damn! I want it! :O
damn, why my wife is there? lol
Very nice!
nice!! a cool thing to do is that if you shake it too hard, her boob do pop out!! hehehe
You know ... this illustrates a great opportunity that could seize some momentum back to the WM side of the force, should anyone have the wherewithal...
There is huge demand for this and apps like it, however Apple is pulling a "Betamax" and restricting certain types of applications. That is the one big flaw in the App Store paradigm and one that could be exploited to WM's (or other OS') benefit.
It's up to us as advocates to point out this flaw, and up to talented programmer to provide the apps which we could point to and say, hey check it out. WM doesn't have any company deciding what you should and shouldn't be able to run on your device.
Bump!!!!!!!!

hahahaha this would probably sit in my favorites for a long time
i bump this thread with a pelvic thrust.

This has always been where WM shines... I dont want some hob nobs in Cupertino restricting content I want to see, use. I'm suprised they weren't bold enough to globally start banning "inappropriate" sites from Safari.
Everyone should support the dev of a universal WM marketplace where apps can be compiled and be easily managed.. WM apps are too scattered to find and should be sent through a "cab/beta sweep" to provide some consumer protections.. This market would be an optional portal for apps, not mandatory, but a point system tied to X-Box live could add some spice to luring users to install.

look up gecko. the newest beta just came out theres only like 15 apps at the moment but hes trying to make it just like the appstore is
I do wonder, however, why WM doesn't seem to have the developer base to be proactively coming out with apps like this and others, whereas iPhone is fairly overflowing.

Its all about the hardware... With Iphone its 1 piece of hardware to develop.. WM = hundreds of devices, so programs don't pass the grade for every model.. What would be good would be a marketplace that simply filters the programs based on the device. I hope gecko takes that approach as it expands into a full function platform.

[App] Job Discovery

Job Discovery allows you to find Jobs of any simple to extensive search term in an extremely "dumbed" type interface. With GPS location enabled, it can easily detect the area you're in and search OR simply type a Zipcode of where you might wish to find jobs (maybe where you want to move).
Like the job, company and city/state the job is in? Click the job for instant Step-By-Step Voice (If enabled) and Text GPS Directions w/LIVE Traffic & Construction updates from your current location to the job of your choice. This allows you to easily Job Hunt for jobs in the area you may have just had an interview or plan your day and track the Job's on the Map and "Pin" them for easy 1-Click access.
With the extremely easy UI, anyone can find a job and with results displaying as fast as 2 seconds (May vary depending on Data Plan, Location, etc...), it takes the hours of research out of the way and the calling of each location (or printing a map) a thing of the past. A more graphical and more feature/customizable edition called Job Discovery II (Free too) will be released shortly for those who need even more specifics for results.
You can now Download JD at: http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=d635d0cd-aee2-4f6a-89a1-495b94bbd64e.
thanks man!!
I hope you like it, if you have any suggestions please make them .
God knows, I need a job. I hope this helps.
If you have any suggestions or features you'd like, please let me know...
Originally designed to let you find other jobs by your current/job interview/possible locations you may live and show you the Store, Job Title and the location.

Along with the search field, how about a drop menu with common job fields?
You got it! I will start archiving different job types from Job/Career Sites and have an auto-complete so as you type it will also guess what you wanted?

That'd be perfect. Especially for someone who's looking for anything as opposed to something specific. Some of us are desperate for any field we can find a job in.
I appreciate your input, very helpful and will try and roll this update out ASAP as it may take a little time for the update to get accepted and don't want you to be out of a job too long .
Remember if you have anything else you'd like to see, I hope you'd let me know as this App had one purpose, to find jobs and currently searches quite a bit of job sites but tries to narrow down and "rates" them, which you may sometimes see numbers before a job title/company as it thinks they are the best suited/available at the time.
Thanks,
Lance

I love the idea of this app. I'm curious; what database does it use for the job listings? Is it Monster or something like that?
Good job Men
It actually uses a "stream" of job sites, not just one in specific and which is why it kind of does it's own guessing of what's the best jobs to show. A total of now 38 sites when originally it was more than 50 exist now but a lot of sites have blocked the App/Cloud Server but that's ok.
When you search, you're actually sending an anonymous string to our cloud server which hosts a cURL/PHP file that does the actual work (sending the requests to the job sites as some job sites offer an API and will use it) and immediately parses it as it requests only specific parts (some are actually designed separately, especially if they are an API search provider and makes it easier to generate the content) and sends back to the App the converted Lat/Lon of the job location and takes either your exact GPS Lat/Lon or Zipcode and goes, well this and this are closer but they are possibly less relevant and that can be based off of the job title, job content, and also published date/time to determine what may really be the best in the end for you.
I hope that sort of answers your question? As for Monster, we do search them as well but EXTREMELY hard and we only do a max of 35-requests to them so that we don't get banned but all monster results are stored for 72 hours in a MySQL Database.
Thanks,
Lance

That is very nice of you to say, I appreciate it and glad JD was able to show you a job you didn't know existed.
Good news is another view of jobs has been in the works where you can swipe from Map View and List View which will have the job link to the actual company or job site that has the job but has been a little difficult as the sources vary but would this even be of any use to you?
Tried it, but have to use it landscape? Also the GPS did not work for me, since I'm in Canada. Also, the popup advertisements are annoying. Anyway to get them just to stay at the bottom? Otherwise I can't say how good it is without seeing any jobs.

Absolutely, it would. It would cut out the step of having to google the company and then find their employment link, which isn't always easy to find as I just found out with Winn Dixie. BTW, I dropped 3 applications so far. Let's see what happens.

At this specific time it accepts only US Postal Codes as it is digit-based and outside US, like Canada, can have alphanumerical (alphameric) and in Canada specific from what I was studying basically has 2 main parts... First part being "Forward Station Area" and second being the "Local Delivery Unit" and could be listed as H1G, 49,657 or H1G49657, which for the input I would need to scan for both possible formats but since the InputScope lastly was updated to strictly "Digits", making the letters impossible to input.
So we actually in our "prototype", I was speaking about with 2 views has an option in the very beginning, if you're non-US, you select that as it will allow all forms of input where the US is specific and allows only 5-Digits. Also some of the sources we use are strictly US job sites but once we saw some of them actual have multi-country job posting/listing we thought it was a good idea to help the other part of the world.
As for the Ad, it should randomly Popup and the reason for it's current placement is actually because people complained it was at the bottom right or bottom left and for some odd reason the top left seemed less intrusive to the 9 people who beta tested it. Also I have it randomly Popup only because I didn't want to make the map smaller to fit a stupid Ad and make it static which some Ad's can be nutty and be flashy and super annoying. This is why when you search for jobs it automatically centers and zoom-in on the location with the most jobs/in the area, but you probably can't see that if you can't see any jobs... Try typing in "89117" and see if it's still an issue to you and if so, let me know and we'll come up with something else.
Also the landscape-only is because the map is larger this way and easier to view as Portrait mode is and I can assure you much smaller and quite disappointing. When you have 20-30 job's Popup, a square box with tons of little "Markers" and text gets almost blurred and when you click an actual marker it launches the GPS feature, which is why in the Portrait mode people kept clicking the wrong one and we figured let's just have them hate us for this mode and not hate us cause they keep clicking the wrong job.
I will stop going on about the future updates but we haven't forgotten the other part of North America and our countries friends, which you will see soon, I promise .

First, I am glad you find that would be something useful to you and apologize for you currently having to do manual labor as that wasn't really the goal of the App, to make you do anything really.
We didn't think ahead that people might not be driving around with a stack of Resumes and go to each store to drop them off. Later on and good feedback like yours, it shows people want to see even more about the Job/Pay/Hours/Misc. Items and maybe even not leave home and just Apply online as another way to Apply to Jobs, which is why we were just discussing maybe adding a "Send to..." option and can send it to Twitter or Email but figured Email might be better or to txt to a friend as it may be a bit overkill adding social media in the picture.
As far as your job applications, are these job applications due to this program itself? Like how you discovered the jobs? Either way, I hope you get one of the jobs!

Advice needed : I want to study web design/ ui design

What can i study in order for me to work as a web designer/ ui designer? keep in mind that i don't wanna study engineering , i dont like all of those math courses, algebra, physics ... do they teach it in universities or do i have to sign up in an institute?
I dont think there's a career such as "ui design" but there must a "web design" right? there must a "branch" in graphic design, i dont think im right for grphic design since im terrible at drawing what do you guys think ?
It would be IT where I'm going to college. That would include html, mySQL, php, and some other happy fun stuff Possibly Javascript.
-How cruel is the golden rule, when the lives we live are all golden plated-
UI design is generally an overlap of developers and graphic designers. A graphic designer is needed to make it look good, but a developer is needed to make it practical. Between them both, you get a good UI. Well, that's the theory anyway.
If you want to do UI design then you need to decide whether you want to do it from the design point of view, or the development point of view. If you want to actually build websites, then go the development route. If you don't, graphic design is probably the best bet.
There's also games development and design, which does have a particular branch that involves GUI design, but that's usually part of a quite heavy games programming course.
I've personally never heard of a UI design course. I'm not saying that there isn't one, but after 15 years in the industry I've never heard of anyone doing it as a job, either, other than in games development.

Thank you, your reply was really helpful , i want to do it from the design point of view, something i've learned here in xda is that a programmer does not make a good designer and viceversa, sometimes people make great programs but they're hideous, with lack of good taste and too many things/colors going on for example
What about " web design" is there a actually a course for that?
Yup, i studied that. Okay, not web design, but that was included. I studied multimedia design. That included web design, 3D, photography, and film.

I attended a graphic design program (contuing education) at a college nearby. If you're looking to learn the basics (illustrator, PS, InDesign.. etc.) Then I was would start there. But if you're already familiar with image editing and want to learn how to apply it to mobile UI design you can start by looking here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916814. But like John mentioned, there are two types of designing regarding UI.. basic modifying of images in the system is quit simple and only requires image editing software and 7zip (might want to learn how to edit mode.9/9patch and m10 images correctly as well). But if you're looking to do some of the more advanced designing you will need to do a bit of reading/searching. Thankfully, you can find all the info here at XDA.

I only studied for 1 year, but i did plan on 4 years with 3 of those in Australia, but i got bored and stopped after one. And it was pricey. 20K per year.

Did you have a degree before studing graphic design? I need to know basics , since i know nothing, i just have my highschool degree, i want to do this as my career, not just a hobby
I know you're not asking me, but i did not have a degree in "graphics" before i started. It was a private school, so if you show them some "dineros", you're in. But hey, you have to learn it from some place ney? It doesn't hurt knowing some basic stuff in PS or Illustrator though.
In fairness, there's a LOT of online tutorials for learning techniques in all the popular design/illustration apps. It certainly wouldn't do any harm to get a head start.

You do not need to excel at drawing to study graphic art. You just need an eye for design and color; the rest can be learned at school. Having said that, talent is extremely important to find success as a graphic artist/designer.
Web design courses are usually included in graphic arts program, but you may also find exclusive web design programs. There’s one web design and development program at California College San Diego that trains graduates in both front-end design and back-end development of websites. Find more details on the link below:

[Q] Apps on Google Glass for the real estate industry

I work in the real estate industry in India and am interested to know if there can be any useful apps for the same.
I want the app to create a solution where brokers can shoot videos/take pictures in a 'standardized' manner, which they can either upload later on a web portal or show directly to interested customers. Also the geo tagging of the property be done, and any other useful information may be captured too.
It may be kept in mind that in India, internet connectivity is not available everywhere easily, so the videos/photos will be uploaded later only.
An app has been created by Trulia,a real estate portal(can be easily searched on youtube) but this is for the end consumer. I'm looking for a solution which will help the property broker/agent to easily organize data and capture more information about the property on rent/sale.
Suggestions/discussions towards the features/uses of this app are most welcome. Also, I'm looking for developers who can create such an app.
Thanks and Regards.
Is it possible to integrate some laser measuring hardware, or even without some external hardware integration, that an app can be so created, that if I enter a room wearing the glasses and stand at some particular points, a floor map or a complete 3d model can be created?
Please reply ASAP

Hi there! looking for your feedback!

Hi All!
I'm quite new android games developer. I'm looking for developers community feedback on my first "serious" project.
So, as I'm keen on brain teasers I wanted to create some puzzle game. I've started my research and found out one of old style games called Freeways. So I thoutght that I can improve it from design and car behaviour perspective.
For last couple of weeks I have few thousands of downloads but very few feedback!
And I don't know should I upgrade it further or there is no chance to find my audience....
I've spent like 1 year to make it and absolutly dissapointed that there is now feedback from players. Should I start another project? Another 1 year?
Please advise... Thank you in advance!
Link to my game is here:
Motorways mind logic puzzles - Apps on Google Play
Stack the states in brain teaser IQ puzzle. Memory & thinking car traffic maze.
play.google.com
WYSIWYG.
Feedback, yes well here you go...
Looks like a data miner to me
No reason to know my precise location or browser history, share with 3rd parties or for me not to have the option to delete collected data.
I wouldn't even install it... based on that alone.
The games I have are all firewall blocked
My favorite apps have zero permissions and never request internet service. They are also some of the best.
Hi Blackhawk! That's a feedback already. This is set up of ads mediation I'm using. Probably it stops other users aswell. Probably I need to find another mediator

I know you want sponsorship and to generate revenue. I can understand that. It's a tough business. Poweramp has a good business model and is one of my few gladly paid for apps. A lot of bang for the buck and nothing comes close to it for a stand alone music player.
Unfortunately from a user prospective that degree of data mining is potentially harmful. Personally I won't tolerate it... no app is worth that. All social media and shopping apps are banned from my devices. Done that for a decade now. One of the first things I targeted when I started using Androids.
