Aluminium/Metal Case?

Just wondering if anyone could recommend an aluminium/metal type case for my i9020. Preferably looking for one in a white/silver/grey colour.
Alternatively, has anyone used this case/do you think it would be good quality?

The only other metal case I've ever seen listed for the i9020 is one listed on amazon, it's called BoxWave Nexus S Armor, I'd post a link but I'm new and can't do that yet
Can't recommend as I've never used it, but it looks tough.

I managed to find a silver one on ebay, will post pics when it arrives and let everyone know if it is good quality. Sorry shockem but I don't know anyone with a i9023, which is quite funny because that's the model they sell in Australia but all my friends imported theirs.

i got impatient and purchased that case anyways i got the black one which one did you get

that one you listed on ebay looks a little cheap-ish... just sayin.g that boxwave one looks ok, but i forsee that hinge/latch thing being a problem. looks like it open kind of easily. anyone else find anything of higher quality anywhere else? ive been looking for hours to no avail.

Front view of phone, this photo is the most accurate in regards to the colour of the case, the silicone front is definitely black.
The volume buttons and power button have black silicone over them. Ignore the colouring of this photo, bad lighting.
Back comparison, I purchased the silver one. There is a cut out at the bottom for usb/headphone ports.
View from back with case on. It is a bit of a fingerprint magnet.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE lighting showing the front view of the case on the phone.
OPINION: After using the case for a week I am very happy with it. Yes, it is a cheap case but to me it was worth the $4.40 Australian I paid. I especially like the cold feeling and the solidity of the case. I didn't have an incident in which I dropped the phone on concrete and I dinted the bottom corner of the case but it is not that bad. Overall I like the case but I will probably be purchasing another one in a few months because it will get pretty scratched from my fingernails and floating around in my handbag etc.
Any other questions about the case? Just ask.

Search ebay for 'nexus s metal case' and about 30 different listings should come up, most are for this exact same case.

[Q] Protective covers anywhere?

Has anyone found protective covers for the 4X anywhre?
I have only managed to find "socks" and holsters, but no form-fitting covers.
I realise it's still early days, but i would really like to protect my 4X.
I would really love something like a Powerskin for the 4X, but i doubt thats gonna happen...

I emailed SGP, asked if they were going to make cases for O4X. They said they have no plans for the meantime but will consider manufacturing if they see a demand.

Wouldn't it be hard to make a case for the 4x because of its design?

Check out nillkin hard case in ebay.

Jus bought from ebay.. the quality look good in picture, will reply on actual product received.

I'm thinking about buying that case as well considering its the only one u can buy that isn't a sleeve

Got my Nillkin case today and I like it alot, feels good in the hand. It actually feels better to hold than just the naked phone, and that's rare. For me at least.

Okay I'll do that. I took a few pictures of the front as well but they were too dark.

Bought this soft silicon case yesterday for only US4.5, comes in several colors. One thing I like this case is that it still shows the beauty of the back cover!

TPU/plastic Bumper only case

Hello All,
Tried to look for this via search, google/youtube and can't seem to find one. There seems to be various aluminum bumpers on Ebay but from what I've been told/read it does reduce wifi/cell so definitely don't want that and not really keen on aluminum protection.
I'm getting a Dbrand Skin sent in and would like the bumper protection. I'm pretty careful with my phones but occasionally will drop and that soft tpu bumper really works well. Unfortunately it seems like everything TPU made comes with a back cover. I'd rather not cut-out a clear bumper since it'll be rough/ragged lol.
Anyone seen, know of one?

Try the RhinoShield bumper from Evolutive Labs. I think they'll begin shipping them in a few weeks. According to their website, the do sell one for the Galaxy S7 now. Hope that helps.

Thanks Sade! I've reached out to the company to see if they have plans to do so.

Had a rhinoshield on my note 5 and loved it. It did make the phone wider and taller, but it was nice to feel the glass on the front and back of the phone; plus great confidence for drop protection. There's some youtube videos on their product.

With the glass back on the Samsung phones, I think I'll feel a lot better with a case that protects the back, too.

If you get the rhinoshield bumper get the back screen protector with it as it is excellent

I've got a mahogany DBrand skin so got the back part covered! I'm mostly careful with my phone. If I ever do drop it, it's usually on to my carpet when getting off the couch or bed lol.

First of all, that guy in not from India and he probably does not have an Indian Snapdragon variant.
If you look the cover closely it is for the Mediatek variant.

Is the IR blaster hole not lined up for SD625 version? China version has it at center as in the case. but SD625 has it at one end

Generally - There are dozens of covers on (for example) Aliexpress. Question is, what you are expecting from the cover - eye catcher, rugged, soft, hard, aluminum, financial limit,...
Currently I am using this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4095403&d=1490947438 It is not the nicest, but phone is really protected (see corners) It fits perfectly.

BTW Note 4x is the same as Indian version, based on the position of IR blaster.

I am using the kapaver case from amazon. It is pretty cool and makes my feel confident about carrying the phone around without being scared that it could break from falls!

Kapaver case has a major design flaw. Muffles the speaker output and it is not something you can ignore

Accessories Cases

There's hardly any case options I've seen. I bought this one on amazon and the button placement is good, and it doesn't have any rough edges. I was hoping to find solid black or another color because of how clear cases turn yellow over time but haven't seen anything besides the clear ones. They market the y700 as a gaming tablet, but it's got such hard edges! The case makes a difference in ergonomics for sure. Anyone see any other case options?

There are some nice options on Aliexpress. You will wait a few weeks for it to ship but you will get it.

I bought the original grey folio case which the clear back is a fingerprint magnet and the green origami case which I like but not the color lol. Would love a case with a place for the pen. I have a few cases from aliexpress on the way.

which pen do you use with y700? and does it work fully functional ?
tbh i bought a cover and a transparent pu case. turn out the cover is too troublesome to hold on one hand (due to the flappy cover) so i just use the transparent pu case and slap a Moft tablet stand on the back
edit: this one case is the best case around for y700, sadly i cant buy from ali so cant do a review
