Question Has Redmi crippled this phone's charging capabilities?? - Redmi Note 10 Pro Slow Charging - Redmi Note 10 Pro

I'm planning to buy the Redmi Note 10 Pro considering how feature packed it is for the price . But a bothersome fact I've noticed in multiple youtube reviews, especially the Indian variant is that the phone is charging only at a power close to 25W when the charger is 33W and the hardware present inside is more than capable of doing that
Is it hardwares or software issue? Or is Redmi purposefully limiting the charging speed?

In my European variant, The in-box adapter says "27.0 Watts"
so in some variants came as 33 watts and other with 27

No problem here with the UK variant using the supplied 33w charging brick and cable.

Poland (So EU version?) here, 33w charger in the box. Charges 33w without problems. Official dist.
Edit: Got SS for You

[Q] Has anybody used their OP chargers to charge your K20pro?

I have an extra OP3 dash charger lying around, and wanted to know if it's compatible with my K20pro.
I´ve tied OP3 charger. It´s charging but won´t give you fast charging. Charging current is only about 1 400 mA compared to 3 300 mA of the k20 charger and other quick charge compatible chargers.
Fast charging wont happen because the Charging technology is different.. OP supports DASH charging (higher Amperage) while MI supports QC fast charging (higher Voltage)..
anyone tried a charger that supports PD (like a laptop charger) supposedly compatiable with QC 3.0

Yes, I've bought this one https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/ccvHALio
Works OK. Mostly charges at 12v/2a Have seen it hit 12v/2.25a once. These figures are what's reported by HavocOS charging display. I've know idea how accurate they are.
@jaidev.s @zdenex thanks, gives me more reason to order stuff from fleabay, I was thinking of ordering Ringke Fusion X, a 27W quick charger for the k20pro and some things for the missus. Sucks thought as the shipping costs an arm, a leg, and a kidney.

I dunno where you live, but if you are in India, Xiaomi has launched official 27W charger for Redmi K20 Pro, priced at 999 INR ($14.5). Or you could buy the 27W charger Xiaomi released for Mi 9. Both are less costly and more reliable.
Of course, or you could get Belkin's QC4.0+ charger. But its costly.

No, I live in somewhere even drier and humid than India - in Qatar. I got my K20pro from those overpriced resellers in China, hands and palms were just too itchy to have a new phone specifically the K20pro.

Then you could use option 2 in my previous comment - original Xiaomi Mi 9 charger.

Does mi a2 really support QC3/4

I have read several topics about this and still doesn't understand. I was one step from buying QC3.0 from KUULAA before had a bit of test.
Im running pixel extended rom, that can show on screen charge info. The stock charger is out of question. I also have chargers from mi 4 and samsung s5e. And both of them showing 10W charging - 2.4A and ~4.5V. Then i got for test 2 more adapters - one from Pixel 4 and Redmi note 9 pro. They suppose to be QC3+, allowing 18+W charge. Yet - both of them showed exactly the same numbers ( tested with 10% battery).
So the main my concern - im not even talking about qc4, i didn't even saw that qc3 charge that suppose to be 18W, not 10W.
Maybe there is not support from rom? or is this support should come from kernel? Since sd660 allowing QC3/4 but it's own specs

Accessories Huawei 65W charger.

Hi guys ! I have Huawei 65W charger. Can i use that with my Mi 11 Ultra ? I was thinking is here why not to use it but I don’t want to fry something inside with long term usage.
This is a picture with the official xiaomi eu 65w charger. You can compare it as well to see the differences
It probably won't charge at 65w
I have a huawei super charger from my mate 20 pro (40w) and if I plug it into a Samsung or a realme or xiaomi etc it charges at about 10w
Huawei phones can detect the correct super charge brick and even using a non huawei cable will probably cripple your charge time
Thank you guys !
As far as I know (I have yet to recieve my device, but I do have a compatible 65W charger) it should be able to charge at 20V 3.25A (65W)
Worst case scenario it will just charge at the minimum speed available. There are all kind of handshakes and confirmations that happen before power is delivered from the charger to the phone.
Keep an eye on the battery temp... avoid draining battery below 20-30%
I have for example a type c charger brick from my hp elitebook laptop.
It has the same V/A ratio to do the 65w charging as the original xiaomi charger i posted above.
It does not work charging at 65w with the mi 11 ultra.
Be careful what charger you use and also the cable is very important !
I also use this type c adaptor to 3.5 and type c adapter ( to charge the phone and listen at the same time ) also this is the cable i use with my charger.
Hello,
I believe the CN version comes without a charger, does that apply to international version as well? In all unboxing I've seen of international version they came with a charger, want to confirm by anyone who got his international version since mine still needs 2 weeks to be here. Anyone can confirm please?

Question QI wireless charging

How fast is your phone OPPO Find X3 Pro charged wirelessly?
Official Oppo support says this model does not support the QI standard. Which is probably not entirely true, but my phone charges with a maximum power of 290mA, which is a very poor result. The P30 pro and S22 charge around 900mA. Anyway, my Samsung S4 was loading much faster.

Question Does the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 supports Inductive charging?

Hi there, does this phone supports Inductive charging?
If it does, what is there nessecaryto know if I want to buy a charger?
I want to use it in europe, means we got standard 230V stockets.
Thanks everybody;-)
No
Redmi Note 11 does not support wireless charging. You can use an adapter but the charging speed will be painfully slow and sometimes the phone will warn about it not even charging at all.
If you want wireless charge look for high-range Xiaomi devices like the Xiaomi 12
