My name is Hemanth - Introductions

Hello XDA.
I am HemanthJabalpuri(Hemanth in short).
I am here for 3 years. I have joined here in 2018 to mod my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini I9192. I don't know about anything about root etc., at that time. My initial steps to all the mods are done from XDA. Rooting, custom recovery, custom ROMs, modding etc.,
I learned all these things from here. I am from Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. I am a student as of this writing.
Now I have Realme C12 and I have been modding it.
In initial days, I used to read guides and do something, but now I am making guides for others.
I am very glad to be a part of XDA.
Thanks

Development guides/tips/knowledge

This thread is about development, for any other guides you should look here
Hey guys, our beloved phone hasn't got so many developers. So we should encourage the users to do something with their free time, let's call it development.(I an one of them too )
So the idea is: if anyone has some knowledge maybe he will want to share with us. For example: I will do some research and if I am lucky, I will find some guides for beginners in development.
After a while we can even make a document with everything that was posted here.
Useful links:
1) http://stackoverflow.com/ //there you go, you can ask everything about development there but don't forget to come here and share what you have found
2) https://github.com/munjeni/android_device_htc_golfu //ICS CM9 sources for our phone thank you munjeni, for your work
Basic things: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/index.php?title=Doc:_Building_Basics
You might have heard the word "git", here is a short explication from Cyanogen
How to port
*here is a nice guide for ROMS
Note: You can port from almost any device but you can try devices similar to our device like LG P500, HTC Explorer, Samsung Galaxy Ace,HTC Wildfire S, Samsung Galaxy Gio etc
*here or here is how you can port any theme to any build
!Compiling things on a virtual machine isn't that good.

Reserved for future guides.

Please remember that aircombat has already written some guides for the device. So this'll purely need to be a development based thread.

hobbyist

Hi everybody,
I am Jerang, an hobbyist who is playing with rooting phones and installing custom ROM`s on any android phone.
Joining XDA was the best thing to do, the information here is unlimited.
I do not have the knowledge to create custom ROM`s and so on, but just see me as an tester for your builds.
Also at last hope to contribute to this forum and users.

Welcome aboard!

Hello Everyone!

Hi All,
I was bit curious about android auto support that got ended recently for android 7 and this curiosity landed me to XDA pages where I explored rooting in last 2 days and was able to root my Xiaomi Redmi note 4 SD6255, upgraded it to android 13 with Lineage OS20 by Zeelog, posted by our senior member @anandsvm. I am thankful to him for his guidance! Also during my search, i referred other guides which helped me at initial stage, like
How to root your Android smartphone: Google, OnePlus, Samsung, Xiaomi, and moreHow to install TWRP recovery on Android smartphonesby SKANDA HAZARIKA[GUIDE] The correct way to flash custom ROMs by _Masked_
I am thankful to the members who are continuously contributing to the forum and helping us to gain more knowledge and exploring mods.
Welcome to XDA and continue to enjoy the forums vast amounts of information!
Nice introduction! Cheers
