Recently I had been wondering to the about the water resistant capacity of this phone. So was checking out the externals.....I noticed this small cut on the right edge of the camera bump. Not sure if this is normal (in every handset) or just in mine. Anyone has any info on this??

I got in touch with the customer care after this thru insta, they have confirmed it to be part of phone design....
Dipping the camera module even slightly under water is not an option it seems.

Even I was concerned when I saw it but its a part of the design. NOt sure what purpose it serves.

It's a mic, quite a few of the newer phones with the big camera bums have this also.

Wondering why the customer service people failed to mention this

Top tip: Don't drop expensive phones!

I originally posted these over at WMPowerUser (and they have now seemingly become popular images) so I thought why not get the word out a little more?
Basically, I dropped my HTC HD2. Big mistake. Now, I have to get it all repaired!

Don't drop your phone, it's rather fragile (even if it can take a knifing).

Bummer, do you have a case for it's protection?

I have the one it came with, which isn't much use if you actually want to use the device!

I'll be getting this Aluminum Metal Case for HD2 when it come to the States w/3G:

Yeah, ouch. My friend dropped her G1 on it's back, and it cracked the screen.
Man, I'm sorry about that. TBH I cringed a little when I first saw this on WMPoweruser.com. This seems to be a problem with all glass-screened phones, as about three friends of mine (all with iPhones) have had them replaced at least once due to shattered screens. Well, I wish you the best of luck in getting it fixed
Ahhhh i'm on the safe side... I have a HTC Universal and even if it drop down nothing happens to the screen... big advantage of having calmshell design.....
No no no...you have it all wrong!!!!
Sorry about your HD2, hope you can get it fixed

Unwanted particles

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, the picture below will explain most of my problem. I'm wondering if any other IS users out there have dirt in the same area pointed in the image? You can only see 3 particles, but in person the whole line between the 2 parts is filled with dirt or something.
If anyone else has had this, did you find a way to clean it? I've tried a needle but even that is too big to get in there. I know it's not much, but whenever I see it, it brings out the OCD in me.
Thanks for any help!

Try with paper, a simple A4 might do the trick since you can bend it and stuff... Usually works for me.

Sorry, I tried it and as much as the thickness is perfect, it wasn't rigid enough to be able to pick out the dirt. So not much improvement
Try a manual air pump brush. Watchmakers use it. Just google the picture of it, you will know what I am talking about.
But watch out, they are small but can provide pressure which can break microphones and speakers if you pump em directly.

Nexus 4 Screen Impurities

At the top of my screen, there are two spots leading up to the edge where the blacks (can only notice it on blacks) are faded. It almost looks like there's a leak where the light is bleeding though, except there is no light bleeding through. Not sure what it is. My camera picked it up a lot better then you can notice it, but you can still notice it when the screens all black.

If you don't think you have this, I would still point a good camera at it to check, because it picks things up that you don't sometimes.
thats called "blacklight bleed" and ALL sidelit LCDS have this issue to some degree (iphone5, htc one X, even your desktop monitor)... you would need a SAMOLED screen to completely get rid of it

Its an expensive camera that's better discerning than the human eye...
If I can't see it with my naked eye, I'm not too worried about it

The edge under the power button looks pretty rough also.
The One mini M4 suffered from this and has cracks all along the outside plastic band.

Thank you mate I know that problem. I've had like four or five Mini's and they all had the exact same issue and got replaced over and over again until I decided to give it away and upgrade to the bigger sibbling.
I stil have no clue how to repair this frame.. A friend has had the same problem and his powerbutton broke. And without this button the phone is kind of useless..

anyone else getting triggered?

anyone else getting triggered when you go look for any reviews or anything, they're titled for the s10 but it's actually the s10+?
Nope ...
It's suggested that the S10+ is the most popular of the three but I'm not sure how accurate or by what standards that may be measured against. In any case, clicking on a video that I thought was for my phone's model and turning out that it's not is not something that will greatly upset me. To me that's just a minor nuisance. Nothing for sensible adults to get overly upset about, IMO.
It's the reality people! Majority of folks like big phones now, popularized by the Galaxy note 1 and a bit later by the iPhone plus
I'm getting triggered over not having an S10e device forum here on xda :/
Never been "triggered" in my entire life.
I don't even know what "triggered" means! ??
It is even worst as I am getting the 10e and you see almost nothing for it.
