Hi, I'm Silvan - Introductions

Hello everyone
I was a long time iOS user and now switched to a Pixel Phone with CalyxOS. At the beginning I had difficulties to start but the Android community surprised me... many developers create excellent FOSS and are ready with helpful tools and solutions.
I crossed the way to the XDA forum a few times, but that I finally registered now is due to the GCam port of @cstark27 (by the way, works great thanks ).
I am mainly user and more on the newby side and joined the forum to:
- Ask questions,
- to exchange experiences,
- To get news and information about my device and ROM.
- To honor what developers and the community do.
I wish everyone a great day and soon a nice weekend

About me.

Hello everyone. Although I am a new member, I have been using XDA as my main source of knowledge for many years. XDA forums is the first and the best of the internet sites for troubleshooting our cell phones. Thanks to you, I have been able to extend their useful life and add improvements to them. I am not an expert, much less I think I have the knowledge and experience of good developers who are part of this great family of contributors. There is not much that I can report about myself, and I think it is not worth it, but I hope to continue learning from my colleagues in this forum and be useful to them when I can be. Thank you and success.

Well then welcome officially!

Hello XDA Community!

Hello my name is Randy Steward, I recently learned about this community upon looking for answers I pertaining to my new android head unit for my WRX. I was so impressed with the amount of topics and solutions that I decided to join his community.
Aside from being a computer nerd and a experimental music composer, I am a father of two boys and I enjoy being involved in their lives and also learning and teaching new things to others.
Other than that, that is me in a nutshell.
Although this community seems to be more focused on the tech side And information regarding certain tech issues if anyone has any music needs or questions regarding most topics I’ll try to do my best to stay active
In the community!
thanks,
StiRan83
Welcome to XDA StiRan83! Nice story, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here with us.
If you want/need to talk music, there's not necessarily any forum for this... or wait maybe the off topic section?

Hello forum

I recently decided to dive into the world of smartphones and had to find out that it is much more complex and difficult than I anticipated but at the same time that's what makes it so intriguing.
Since I'm new to this topic but not new to the world of computer science I hope to fnd some help here and want to help in return if I can.
I already encountered many helpful guides here which I successfully put into practice which is a great WOOHOO for those who posted them.
Since I already made use of some of xda's collective knowledge, I want to contribute.
With respect
Yu.
Glad you joined XDA! Continue to enjoy the forums and assisting the members!
Cheers

Hello from France :)

Hello from France !
I'm a high school student, 17yo. I'm passionate about tech stuff (programming, electronics and many other things) i also love photography, biology.
I joined XDA because I've seen so many tutorials for unlocking android devices : sometimes, i go to my computer club and there is many people that ask me to repair phones, tablets, install lineagos ect. I tried to discover the forum more further and i was happy to found a great, (really) helpful community behind the forum. This time, l’m trying to reverse engineering an android TV box from my ISP. I don't know where to be helped (which topic category ?). Thanks for everyone who replies to questions like me in this forum, your time is precious and this is a big gift to share your knowledge to other people. That's one of the best way to make the world better.
Happy New Year
With kindest regards
Welcome to XDA Forum. Hope you enjoy be in here

<== A Belated Greeting From A Former Lurker ==>

Hello, XDA!===================================================================
I'm mouseracer and I've been lurking on XDA for quite some time now.
Whether it be rooting guides, theming tips or even general advice, I've visited this site a lot of times.
It was only some days ago when I decided to join this site when I decided to ask for help on a Lineage GSI which my phone had trouble running.
I know, most people would start out by posting their introductions first and NOT to ask for help and then introduce themselves at a later date. However, I didn't know that there was an introductory board here.
Either way, I hope to contribute what knowledge I gain from tinkering with my device.
I would like to thank the XDA users and developers alike who helped me root my devices and unlock their fullest potential which was locked by the OEM.
And this has been a greeting from a former lurker!
