Question Annoying keyboard glitch when typing - Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra

Is anyone else experiencing a glitch whenever you are typing mid sentence and the keyboard disappears or jumps around when you get a notification in the top bar ?
This has been happening quite often lately ,mi 11 ultra 12/512, on china and eu ROM , using gboard and SwiftKey
I thought it maybe ghost touch panel problem but I don't think it's that anymore
I have disabled notifications and it's mostly fixed but that shouldn't be necessary.....

Yes! This is annoying.
The keyboard sometimes just disappears while typing.
I am using Gboard.

Never happened to me, I'm on Global 12.5.4.0

[Q] Occasionally no response lower right screenside CM9 and CM10

I have experienced a really strange phenomenon. Just got a new Galaxy S GT-I9000 and decided to give CM10 a shot.
The main problem I am facing is some sort of a lag or better no response at all randomly. Problems are visible when:
1. I type on my keyboard
2. I scroll down long lists
The Problem.
Sometimes the device doesnt respond to my "tap" at all. The bug just occurs on the right half of the keyboard so you could say lower right half of the screen in a certain area around [k, i, l , j] buttons. When scrolling down lists my thumb is normally in that area so even when scrolling down the screen simply does not react from time to time and when I lift my thumb up and tap again everything works as normal.
This problem is extremely frustrating because I am not able to type properly anymore. First i was afraid its not the Firmware BUT my phone. But on stock rom I dont experience any of this at all.
Does anyone have an idea? Why can't I find something about this problem in the Forums. CM9 should be stable and nobody seems to experience this problem but doesnt the fact that it works on a stock rom prove, that its can't be the hardware?
Greetings

Do you also face touch problem in your K3 note

I'm facing a very annoying problem in my k3 note, that some areas of screen randomly stop responding. In my phone its mostly limited to bottom right part of my screen where backspace on keyboard is located. Rest of phone is responsive except this region. Restarting the phone fixes it temporarily.
But strange part is it doesn't happen on all ROMs, I first noticed it in some AOSP MM ROM, then i think it was Andronium VUI ROM (based on dev 1628) and now on s433 rom which leads to believe its some software thing not hardware thing.
Are there others also which face similar issue ? Any possible solution except switching to different rom ?

Yes, I have this problem with the screen also. I've heard from others with similar issues on other forums. It seems it is a hardware fault or possibly an issue with the way software interacts with the screen controller. In my case the screen is periodically unresponsive around the letter E or R on the keyboard and I have to tap the area with greater pressure. Sometimes it gets very buggy and very frustrating.
There is another possibly related problem when scrolling a web page or dragging - larger areas of the screen become unresponsive. Turning the screen off and then back on fixes the problem for the next 2 or 3 minutes. This issue has also been fixed for me with the kernel from daniel_hk here http://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-...rnel-dc-mtk-m1-kernel-vibeuiv3-51631-t3483573 - the only proviso is you apply it to Vibeui 1631. So while the scrolling issue seems to be fixed, the unresponsive areas around letters E and R on the keyboard remain.
I've noted the problems above would temporarily go away after flashing a new ROM however they eventually return. I've considered buying a new screen but not really sure if its a hardware or software issue - possibly both!

hmmm it's interesting that different people have different areas of unresponsive screen. It seems more like software issue to me, as I started noticing this issue more on newer dev roms only. Today, I've reverted to dev ui 3.1 1622st as I remembered it didn't have it. Will report in couple of days of how it goes, so far haven't noticed it.
I have been facing touch problems for quite some time on the ROW version of the ROM s433. The touch starts acting weirdly, i.e random things start getting touched automatically and this happens mostly in the lower half of the screen. I turned on the show pointer location option from developer settings and it shows the pointer stuck at one point on the screen showing erratic behaviour. Turning the screen off and then back on solves the problem but very temporarily. Restarting solves for a longer time but the problem pops back up.

P20 Pro Touch screen sensitivity seems to be worsening?

Hey folks, I'm having a weird issue where the bottom of my screen is showing slower and slower touch sensitivity. In android messages for instance, I often have to click the chat box multiple times to get the keyboard to pop up. Or the dialer icon in my dock - I have to click that more than once for dialer to open.
It didn't use to be this way when the phone was new.
I removed screen protector and problem persists.
I'm on 151 firmware, problem first appeared in 131 firmware, but persists now.
I enabled glove mode. Doesn't solve it.
I am running lawnfeed launcher. Always have since before this problem surfaced.
Phone has never been dropped or damaged in any way.
Any suggestions? I couldn't find a touch screen re-calibration option anywhere.
I have the same prob. Im on 131 in germany. Appears in the browser too. Even when im scrolling it misses sometimes my input and the website scrolls further . Dock is the same with me.
Im on nova launcher.
Maybe we should try without launcher just to make sure... .
Emui is no option for me , rather i sell this thing ^^ but i want to exclude the problem xD
emui is killing this phone!
amazing hardware ruined by Sh**ty iOS clone
Working fine over here. I'm on 152. Never had this problem thank God.
Problem was solved by removing screen protector altogether. Sensitivity is back to normal. I'm just using a liquid screen protector.

Bugs After Updating To Pie | Oreo Is More Stable Then Pie

bugs in the pie are very annoying, like the touch screen moves by itself, the keyboard deletes itself and moves itself. have you guys experienced the same thing? i think oreo is more stable than pie. Pie OS is very good, but the bugs are very annoying
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app

I use Gboard and the issue is not so bad on my device.. maybe are you using a screen protector? Im reading now in internet sometimes ghost touch problem it depend from a screen protector...
Personally I think is a software problem.. maybe Samsung is collecting the keyboard activity? So maybe there is generating some software conflict??

Touchscreen issues

Hi there, I bought a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro 6/128 recently. I instantly noticed that if I'm using full screen gestures I have some troubles doing WhatsApp audio recordings. Single press is recognized on the bottom corners, but if I do a long press, my system doesn't recognize it.
I thought it was a gesture's "feature", but I have investigated a little and I found an issue in that part of display, even with gesture disabled (so, using softkeys).
I didn't find anything about this issue, but it's very annoying because I am not able to do WhatsApp recordings, because long press on recording button isn't recognized at all.
I also uploaded a video in which I show the issue
Tell me if you have the same problem, or if there are any solutions.
Single press works ok in the bottom corner, but long press isn't recognized

I can confirm that same issue is present on my phone. But I would say its rather a bug with MIUI/Whatsapp as I can confirm that touch is working perfectly on that part of the display in CIT or Other apps.
Try it. A single press would work very well, but long press on the same area won't be recognized
You can check it with any app that lets you draw/test touchscreen
I've noticed this on my device too. Is it a hardware or a software issue, if its software issue can anyone confirm if this issue exist on custom roms too.

I'm using a custom ROM since April (EvoX) and I can confirm you that the issue still persists. Don't know if it's vendor related, or it is an hardware issue.
The only good thing is that with Android 10 and gesture bar (on miui 12 and custom ROM also), it's easier to record voice messages since gesture bar takes 1-2 mm of the corner, so less "defected" space for touchscreen
