Question HK S21 Version Samsung Keyboard - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hello,
is it possible to switch the HK Version of the Samsung Keyboard to the EU (german) Version, that i can use Keyscafe?
I got the SM-G9980.

Yes, go to Settings, General Management, Samsung Keyboard Settings, Language and types, Manage input languages then search for Deutsch.

The problem is, i got an SM-G9980 snapdragon Hongkong-Version.
I switched the language to Deutsch, but i can't use Keyscafe, because the layout stays in china/HK.
Keyscafe doesn't work with china/HK-layout.

Ended up switching for Gboard since the SM-G9980 factory keyboard was a piece of **** that occupied half the screen.

Why not resize?

I also have an HK version, but Keys Cafe doesn't work for me when I customize the effects or change some layout.

You can't resize below a certain point, and that's still way too much I like for a keyboard.

My Taiwan model was not usable at first, but I changed the area code to HK, and then it became usable. Maybe you want to check CSC

After my test, keyscafe of model 9980 chc and bri are not available, but tgy (hongkong) is available

For those that weren't aware I remember a very big thread about this on the Note 20 U forums. Last I remember the stock Samsung keyboard couldn't be changed to the one that is on the non CH or HK models.

10 points from both sides? I don't quite get what you mean here, can you elaborate a bit?
why do you need 10 detections at all?
These parts dont work on my device

Mine either.
Fire up a drawing program and try and draw a line that starts at one side and finishes at the other, seems you can't.
Top to bottom is fine though.
Mine is inconsistent. when drawing from middle to left, it usually stops 5-20px from the edge. When drawing from middle to right, it stops 5-15 px from the edge. When drawing from outside left and into middle it starts on 1st pixel, when drawing from outside right into middle, it starts on 2nd-5th pixel.
This may be an explanation why A on qwerty keyboard is sometimes hard for me to hit with my big fingers.....
But, good to know im not alone, yea its hard to hit Q and P for me :/
last time i checked it works fine on stock rom, but on cm7 i cant use those edges either.
v10B stock rom/baseband/kernel all seems fine. well seems atleast.
OK, good to know but there is no Slovak ROM so i dont know what to flash as stock ^_^
That would be Euro Open
Or whatever other ROM you would like to use. There are differences, but there's nothing stopping you from using one not specifically for your country. Some releases may miss your language though..

FM Radio

Just got my new Galaxy note. And I cant find the FM radio app that
is suppose to be on this phone. What am I missing?
It is suppose to be a international unlocked version, but I see a lot of ATT apps on the phone.

I'd check the ROM version, and consider upgrading/flashing the latest e.g. official version
In case you did Flash a ICS-Rom you won´t find any Radio App.
You could try Spirit FM. It´s the only ICS-App that works.
But it´s not easy to configure and it´s not guarantied that you will get it to work.
Might Google for working settings in that app.

Does your phone have a big hardware home button with a capacitive button on either side; or does it just have four light-up capacitive buttons under the screen?

As far as I know, the Galaxy Note I717, doesn't really have an FM Radio build on the device....
you might be better off getting the international version if you want to have the FM radio right off the bat....
what is your phone model written on the box? GT-N7000 ?

There are supposed to be ZERO at&t apps on a genuine international note. You've been had. The best sign is as stated that the N7000 has physical buttons and not simulated, onscreen ones.

Space bar in keyboard of Android auto

I feel silly for asking, but on the keyboard of Android auto there doesn't seem to be a space bar? Am I overlooking something?
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I'm experiencing this same problem now too, in November 2017. Huawei NXT-AL10. No space bar showing in android auto. Did you work out any way to fix this?
Many thanks.
I never even get a keyboard
How did youll manage that?
Is this region specific?

That's a strange one, mine works fine. Have you tried the usual fix methods on phone keyboard? Eg change settings too show numbers, or more rows, or wipe keyboard app data etc.

Yes, that was aimed more at the others, isn't that what the other guys are talking about. But I did think it might fix for you as well as I am guessing it must get some data from phone... or maybe some bug due to the language or locale you are using?
Any updates on this? I have the same issue with my Honor 8 pro on a Volkswagen head unit.
Edit: seems that the head unit is not the issue here

SM-N950F or SM-N9500

Hello very good, I'm spanish sorry but I'm in a big bind ... I have to choose between a SM-N950F or the SM-N9500 Chinese or European the issue is that I know that the 950F can flaseharle with ODIN and pass to PHE(Spanish) 64GB So far no problem the issue I have in that the N9500 comes with 256GB and radio enabled thing important for me, the issue that as read and read can not use Samsung Pay or Samsung Members in the N9500 right? if true, could you disable those apps? and also ask;
Do you have a lot of Blooatware? If so, can everything be disabled?
in the case of taking the N9500, you still have the briefing if you give them to the left side (the news) and if this can change language or something?
also Bixby is in Spanish or can it be put? Do you recognize Spanish even if you are from China?
I was also told that the correction functions of the S Pen corrects you in Chinese not in Spanish can be arranged and the keyboard can be put Spanish with its corrections in Spanish right ??
I need help u.u ....
I have the SM-N9500 with 256Gb and it all works fine in English once you change the language option! I have no problems with spell check or anything else, bloatware was not an issue. The only thing I can't use is Samsung Pay, but I think that's my bank's fault (I don't use it so no problem)! I had to spend a bit of time getting the language set to English as it started up in Chinese, but some research on the web helped me get it all sorted ... so do your research in advance! I think I looked at a YouTube video to help ... can't remember details now!
The SM-N9500 is a great phone and the 256Gb storage is almost like having a computer in your pocket. I doubt you'll be disappointed. I haven't even found the need to root as it all works so well and comes with many ”bells & whistles” I would normally add with rooting!
Hope that helps in your decision making!

Either of these should work perfectly fine. The only difference is that the N950F uses Samsung's own Exynos SOC while the N9500 uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. Samsung Pay may work in your country provided that the card, which is issued by your bank is supported for use with Samsung Pay.
You can disable the majority of the Bloatware on Samsung devices, however some cannot be disabled.
Bixby is dependent on the language, which you have chosen during the device Set Up process.
have Wifi calling and VoLTE? what Bloatware could not be deactivated?

Is my device a prototype?

So, I have two of these T-Mobile devices. One of them originated from australlia, and another one has an unknown origin. So, the one with unknown origin makes me think that it is a prototype model. It has a weird custom android 1.6 firmware, and it lacks any safety notes, model names and notes in general under the battery, while the second one is bloated with them. I will attach a photo of both devices side by side on this thread. (the one with minimal text is what im curious about)

Instead of a prototype, it may be a clone (IDK).
Can you what do you mean with "weird custom android 1.6 firmware"? That's the only really useful info.
maybe it was made by a unknown man. all of that pieces taked from different places (ex: locations like one for a samsung board or nand memory). if you know about repair the entire device of something i can think you will know what happens really easy.
